Having lived in Louisville, Kentucky (the central headquarters of KFC/Yum! Brands) for seven years, I learned a few things about KFC: Namely, their product quality and overall restaurant concept has gone down...down....down. That said, because of their restaurants consistently poor standards of quality, I’ve stayed away from KFC for a long, long time. Recently, though, I decided give their outlets here in the Shoals another try, mainly because the new ad campaign for "Original Recipe" chicken strips sounded pretty good—if only in theory. Of the first three trips to different Shoals-area KFC locations that Ive made in the last few weeks, Ive found the Original Recipe chicken "strips" (or "tenders," as most people call them) to be sufficiently decent. Not overly great, but pretty good. Tonight, however, when I arrived back home with my just-ordered 6-piece strips, I opened the box and found a garbled assortment of chicken that looked as if itd been prepared with a ball-peen hammer. Indeed, the strips were misshapen, tangled together, overly-breaded, and ice-cold. Not very appetizing. Additionally, the large order of potato wedges I received was similarly unappetizing and cold: an incomprehensible mix of potato parts resembling the scrapings left over from the end of the night. (Just for the record, I placed my carry-out order during regular “dinner” hours [6:15 p.m. or so], so this wasnt a late-night drive-thru scramble) I picked around in the boxes, selecting what looked most edible, and hastily threw the rest of the mess into our jumbo-sized trash can. Then, having just left the restaurant (and living about 7 blocks away), I placed a call to the location in hopes of getting someone to acknowledge the poor condition of the food. No dice. Just an impersonal, taped message on an answering machine. If anything happens, Ill letcha know. But it looks like me and KFC are parting ways once again. Im sorry corporate America and its culture of apathy ruined your chicken, Colonel.

Just left there wondering why put In a drive thru if your not going to use it.... they asked me to hang on a sec....no problem, wasnt sure what I wanted to order...that gave me a min to look at menu and figure it out. So after few mins I asked if they were ready to take my order......no response.......maybe they they was very busy inside was my thought...5 mins later again I ask hello are yall ready to take my order. ..again no response.......couple more minutes pass still they never even try to take my order. So having other things to do i decide to just go next door to taco bell I pull away from the order box thing and what I saw really annoyed me. The girl working drive thru window had her head out the window laughing and chit chatting with the car in front of me.

Worst ever, not to mention the food. First the manager rudely tells me that per policy she cant allow me to take a pic of the menu or anything in the store. I guess after me telling her that Alabama law says I can take a pic of anything in a public place she had another employee to sabotage my food (see pic) by crushing my chicken fingers into a box full of grease. The plastic lid to the potatoes was crused and peices in the potatoes and the bottom crused. Didnt give me my drinks and got home with no sauce for fingers. The chicken in the box meals was cold and greasy. Looks like $41 could buy a better experience than I recived. I wont be back and if I could they would get zero stars just cause....

I wouldnt give any stars if I could. My boyfriend and I came in tonight to get food for his parents. The manager and a customer (or whatever he was) had an argument over a baby in front if all of the five people that were in here. It took a long time for our order to be taken, the lady didnt apologize. When we ordered dark meat, they didnt have any. When we ordered a side, she said, "We dont have anymore coleslaw." Very rudely. The order was taken. We sat down to wait, and the guy behind us waited so long because the employees were taking about the previous arguement and their relationships, that he left. Horrible service. Good food. Horrible service.

I was overcharged they didnt how to do the coupons I wanted to upgrade they looked at me like I was crazy the mashed potatoes and gravy was bad it was soupy the chicken was cold! Bad!!!!!
