I ordered a hamburger from the waitress at the little bar, it took awhile to get the food but Im patient. So they bring me the hamburger put it in front of me and lo and behold there is no bun with my burger. Are you kidding me no bun with my burger, so its sent back to the kitchen,and about 10 minutes later comes back with a bun but by now the burger is cold. This thing was dry and tasteless the only good thing on the burger was the bacon, the waitress did not even have the decency to say she was sorry about the screw up.

We arrived less than an hour before close and the service was still fantastic. The food was hot and delicious, the server was sweet, and the cashier was funny. I had the meatloaf and my friend had catfish. Both of our meals were hot and fresh and the sides were fabulous (between us we had mashed potatoes with brown gravy, rutabagas, green beans, and butter peas, ALL good!). They are also very inexpensive which was good for traveling on a budget. Very pleased we decided to go here.

Great friendly service, fantastic food! Came out hot and ready to eat!! Liver and onions were good. I gave them 3 stars bc liver is cheap and they only serve one thin tiny slice of liver. I can get more liver at Churchs. I understand its not a hot item but the people who will forfeit EVERYTHING on the menu for liver should at the very least be full when they leave there. Otherwise it was a nice dining experience.

Hopefully they were just having an "off day" because it was terrible. Had to ask the waitress 3 times for some silverware, when the food came, some of the orders were wrong, and upon leaving, there was something that had spilled all over the floor and I slipped and almost went down but caught myself just in time. I told the lady at the checkout about the floor, but she didnt seem to care much about it.

Very good traditional southern cooking! Cornbread and fried okra were both excellent! Chicken and dumplings, and turnip greens were very good, but not enough better to be worth a special trip there. Service was super; our server was very attentive and genuinely nice without it being "put on". Bread pudding was okay. Probably wouldnt order it again, though. Overall, definitely worth a return visit!

I cant believe in all my years of driving to the gulf, I never stopped here until now! Guess we were hungry at the right time! This restaurant met my expectations of friendly service, cleanliness and most of all ... THE FOOD!! A true southern knows her southern food and this pace has it! Im happy to have found this place and it will always be my families stop to AND from the beach!!

I ate here today! I had the buttermilk fried chicken breast, Mac n cheese (not the crappy cafeteria stuff), and home made potato chips (you HAVE to try these!!) Ive never had a bad meal. I usually get chicken salad plate with more fruit than youll ever eat - or- pork chop with white gravy... I also ALWAYS reccommend their cream corn! Yum! Alex is a great waiter!

Great,professional and nice staff. Clean dining area and restrooms. The food is very good and fresh,prepared at a very timely manner. I personally love the pecan smoked chicken plate. Most places have very dry chicken breast; not Blue Plate, its very tender n juicey. I highly recommend it on your next or first stop.

we my wife and I went to blue plate around 6pm yesterday Sunday.in northport i had blacken catfish ,cold slaw and french fries . here it s 230 am monday morning with stomach ache,stomach growling with diarrhea and cant sleep. what A bummer Denny Ratcliff

The food was absolutely fantastic! I actually would drive out of my way to go to this restaurant and wish there was one near by me in Tallahassee. The staff was super friendly and very helpful- just an all-around great place to have a meal.

I eat here whenever I go to Dothan. Amazing home style food and pretty much all of the sides are vegan! Delicious greens and peas, biscuits from scratch. Omg. Stop by here if youre a tourist like me.
