Dont judge a book by its cover. The only reason I found my way into this restaurant was because I was in the area and the reviews on Yelp were quite complementary. I walked up to the door and was going to turn away because it looked like a dump. I ventured in and asked to see a takeout menu. "We dont have one" was the response I got. I asked if they do takeout and the woman explained that they do but have no menu. She had to explain the four different varieties of Pho to me several times (I couldnt shake the idea that they had no menu). I ordered Pho with chicken breast to go. The broth was the best that Ive tasted to date. It came with a container full of noodles, cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos, Sriracha/Hoisin sauce, and a huge sliced up chicken breast. The meal was simply outstanding. I was sweating when I finished and feeling like I was treated to an authentic meal. The next time Im anywhere near Kensington, Ill venture over to Cafe Pho Ga. If you like Pho, do yourself a favor and check this place out. And dont forget, dont judge a book by its cover.

I love the food.. dont ask for a menu.. this place is known for the chicken pho.. either half or whole and small or large noodle bowl if u order anything else it wont be fresh.. 99.98% of everyone walking in here only orders the chicken.. Now I only gave it 3 stars because everything else is horrible.. the experience. . The ordering process.. the bathroom.. the tables.. the feel...the waiter.. the look.. the location.. Its one of those place where u just come in..order ur delicious chicken, eat, pay and walk out.

This place is the bomb!!! Best pho ga Ive ever had while in Phila. Do not let the outside fools you, this place serves the best pho ga ever and its cheap, too. Sometimes, scratch that, most of the time you have to wait in line to get a table. Highly recommended.

Best chicken pho Id ever had. Broth was great, chicken was fresh. Downside is the place is a little small and its always crowded so youll need to get on the waiting list. Estimated time for a table of 9 during lunchtime on a Sunday was an 1 hour wait.

Best and fresh authentic Vietnamese Chicken Pho by fresh chicken and pepper-salt-lime juice mixture with garnish of lime leaves. Downside includes no menu (only few selections), cash only, and small place. But best for takeout - just call order

Pho ga was good as always. Thought they would have upgraded the restaurant by now and better wait staff. Restaurant is dirty all around and television was on way too loud. Price increased was too much in such short period of time.

Highly overrated. Came on a Sunday afternoon - bland soup, overcooked noodles, chewy and dry chicken meat. Overpriced, less-than-average Pho. Perhaps will try again during a different time of day.

My favorite place to eat Pho. There is no menu but I personally recommend eating a large(or small) plain bowl with half a chicken on the side (quarter if alone). Enjoy!

Thanh Thanh Cafe is my most favorite location to go to for a delicious bowl pho. Though only two selections can be made (chicken or beef),its well worth it.
