I have grown up eating at Old Country. Everything there is delicious and very authentic. I love how you can choose to eat there, at the restaurant (which is very reasonably priced for the food you receive) or go to the deli and take home the delicious cold cuts, sausage, or cheeses to enjoy later! Everytime a visitor comes to town, I take them to enjoy a delicious lunch here, and they always come back!

I was excited to find my peanut curls there and bought three bags. Was very dismayed to find out they were 8 months past the best when used by date. Thought it must have been an oversight, but found all the price stickers conveniently over the dates. Will never shop there again, I prefer the Edelweiss where at least things are marked when the are past due date. Bad business old stale items.

One of two places in Portland with fresh, authentic German sausages and cold cuts, made in house by a Master German Sausage maker. Also has a good selection of cheese and Bier and other select imports. The other place is Edelweiss on Powell Blvd. Both are excellent choices for lunch, or if you are shopping for German deli fare and imported groceries to take home and prepare yourself.

The smart and funny women running the front of the house are excellent and hugely knowledgeable. They have some type of sausage wizard on staff, his skills run deep! Many childhood memories revisited, many more happy times built shopping here. Lots of great kitchen items that are not easy to find. Amazing family owned gem!

Came and tried the fico plate and it exceeded my expectations. The baked beans are lightly smoky and spicy. What I didnt like was that everything was microwaved besides one of our orders of sausage. Gross.

Bacon awesome. Pastrami awesome. Bierschinken awesome. Jerky awesome. Eat here, you wont be disappointed. If they dont have what youre looking for, ask and theyll probably make it.

Since the they got bought out, the food is amazing, always fresh, delicious, great service the prices are very reasonable. If you havent been there, I would highly recommend them!
