I came here with my fiance to satisfy his philly cheese steak craving and got two philly cheese steaks with cheese (duh...) and onions: one with provolone and one with wiz. From now on, I will always get wiz on my cheese steaks. Theres something about that fake (or not so fake) cheese that makes the cheese steak a little juicier. Anyways, his craving was 100% satisfied! This is a solid cheese steak. I really enjoyed the bread they make in house. However, I like my meat a little less dry and Id like to have more onions or juice to the cheese steak. This seemed like a healthier cheese steak to me. I am used to cheese steaks that have a little more grease. Besides the meat being slightly dry, it was a really good cheese steak. The waffle fries are good and sos the chili. It is a classic chili with a slight kick to it. The service was a little lacking but it was because there was 1 server to the whole place. Overall, I would definitely come back here again. I want to try the wings now. Everyone in the whole restaurant had some but us.

My boyfriend and I have been fighting for days because I lost my job and he needed a man that could provide for his expensive shopping habits. I knew that breaking up was imminent and I had to come up with something extra special in order to change his mind. I decided to take the last couple of dollars I had to my name and take his to this affordable joint as my last resort to win her over. As soon as he tasted the delicious chicken wings and fries, he forgot about my empty wallet and fell in love with me once again. Thank you Wogies Bar & Grill - West Village ! You saved my relationship and I will continue to come here with my boyfriend every time he starts to grow tired of me.

No. Do not be fooled by my pretty photos, thr food here is awful. Great for a few beers but NOTHING else. I went here despite the mediocre rating because it made a Thrilllist for best wings. The wings were drier than anything Ive ever had and while the krazy wings had decent heat, it was overshadowed by the gross dryness. The Parmesan wings tasted like something fishy and had an odd smell. The ranch was watery. The potato bread...Interesting but missing half the menu ingredients. The staff, however, was friendly, even offering to buy us a beer after seeing our full plates.

Atmosphere of a NYC bar with the people and food of a Philly bar. This tends to be a neighborhood hang for people in the area. Not remarkable as a destination bar, the drinks are solid, well-priced, and usually come with a side of conversation. Ive had the wings several times and theyre pretty good, as bar food goes. Good for a casual stop or to visit with a few friends. They tend to be full at night in a good way and slower during the day. Once or twice, Ive had meetings there during daylight hours that went pretty smoothly.

American (Food/Bar). I came here in search of a good chicken wings joint, and some coworkers suggested Wogies. This place offered buffalo, bbq, garlic, honey mustard, parmesan, and salt & pepper (10 wings to an order). We tried buffalo and honey mustard. The hunt is still on to find better, but they were pretty good. The fries were good/normal. It was really loud and crowded when we were there, but they were also having an event. Price: $12 Overall: B+ Frequency: Once Last Visited/Updated: March 2011

Wogies is a great place to go to catch any Philadelphia sports games (especially the Phils and Eagles). The Lager is cheap and the wings here are fantastic but the cheesesteak is only average. Inside, the bar is fancier than your average sports (if you took away the TVs it wouldnt be out of place on Mad Men). The only drawback (and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the place is pretty small, so while its great to watch games with like-minded fans, it can get pretty hectic.

Great place for a casual drink before going out in the West Village...but definitely recommend eating beforehand. Famous for their philly cheesesteaks; both of the ones we tried were mediocre at best. Dry & flavorless meat paired with cold cheese made for a less than appetizing dish. The meal was saved in part by their Frickles...which were both crispy and moist all at the same time. Would definitely come back for the gin & tonic, but maybe stay away from the food...

I have never been more disappointed going to a (sports) bar in Manhattan. Employees were less than helpful, couldnt even pretend to be happy. Food was loathsome. Philly cheese steak consisted of dry meat, poor provolone, and stale bread. An extra $5 for fries?! I suppose, ...the waffle fries were the only thing that was eaten. Overall, I had paid $15 for terrible service, and food. A less than desirable experience at Wogies I will say.

We stopped into Wogies since Tree House was packed and we were looking for big screens to watch the NBA game. We didn’t eat, although the sign in the window said “Grade Pending” which is never a great sign. We figured beer on tap were probably safe, and tried the Wogies IPA. The bartender was less than friendly, but the game was on and the beer was cold. We didn’t set our expectations too high, and came out successful.

Although the cheesesteaks dont seem to be as carefully made as when they first arrived on the scene (or maybe the competition is coming on stronger than Rocky Balboa) Wogies is still one of my favorite sports bars to eat at in my neighborhood. Unless youre a fan of Philly teams or screaming avoid on days when any teams from their neck of the woods are playing.

Wogies is a relaxed Philly bar. Theyll have every Philly sports game on, plus great food. Their cheesesteaks are the best in New York (they make their own rolls). You can get it over french fries instead of in a roll. Their wings are awesome, and their owner and bartenders are great. Cant wait for the downtown location.

I am a philly native and worked at a steak shop growing up, so i know what true cheesesteak is and I was not impressed at all. The ratio between bread/meat/cheese was off. It still tasted good, but as any true Philadelphian knows it is all about the roll and they totally missed the mark when it came to that.

Looks Good honestly speaking the waiter was nice. The wings seemed old and was microwaved plus blue cheese was water down. That Philly cheese steak was not right at all the taste seem real bad. It was over price and to sum it all up I had better for a better price.

Decent bar, but if you go there to watch Philadelphia sports. hope that no one in there wants them to put on the Knicks, because all of a sudden its a NY bar and not a Philadelphia bar. Find another bar that sticks to its "Philadelphia Bar" advertisements.

Amazing sandwiches in a laid back bar. The drink offerings are pretty no frills, but thats not why you go to Wogies. If youre not there to eat big, hearty sandwiches and drink beer, then youve made a terrible mistake.

Straight up philly bar. If there is a philly game of any sort on, and you are not into it, best to stay away and this place will be packed to the walls. The cheesesteaks, wings, and garbage bread are all very good.
