For the first time in my life I felt discriminated against by being denied entry into a restaurant/bar. Went to 10th and Willow in Hoboken. Been there a few times, food was garbage, service was garbage, rude staff. My friends wanted to go to watch some NHL game, so I didnt have a choice on where to eat. Three of us show up before the rest get there. Bouncer asks for ID, which is typical and understandable. Upon all three of us showing him valid New Jersey Drivers Licenses, the bouncer then asks us to show him a second ID that has our birthdate. We are all 26 years of age. None of us look remotely underage. I had 4 separate IDs on me with pictures, but only my drivers license had my birthdate. The bouncer then told us we cant get in without another ID that matches. I responded, "are you suggesting I bring a passport to come eat here?" He said, "yes". (i was kidding). After we left, we called our friends to tell them and nobody could believe it. This was on a MONDAY at 6p.m. Its not like we came there wasted from a bar, which would be understandable. We stayed and called our lawyer. While standing outside of 10th and willow, we noticed at least 10 people come in after us without being IDd whatsoever by the same bouncer. When I came in to ask why they were allowed in without IDs and why we werent allowed in, the bouncer said those people are regulars there. There must have been 50 people in the restaurant at this time. They are all regulars? Our friend who has never been in there before came in and was not IDd at all. When I called them after we left to ask for their names, they didnt comply. I asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager and owner were on vacation and still refused to give me their names. Ive never been more insulted in my entire life. How could a business not like money that bad to deny sober people looking for dinner entry? It honestly makes no sense. Because of this, I will discuss my options with an attorney. This was clearly discrimination. You cannot allow some people in on a hunch that they are regulars, and deny others for failing to bring two photo IDs with birth dates. I had my license, school ID, library card, credit card, debit card. Maybe next time I can bring a urine sample so they can test it in there underground laboratory just to make sure im being honest so I can waste my hard earned money on their mediocre disgusting food. NEVER AGAIN will I ever step foot in this business. They should be embarrassed and ashamed. Look at ever review below mine with 1 star. Everyone says the same thing. This isnt some exclusive 5 star restaurant. Any of these reviews that are above 1 star were clearly written by the owners to cover up the sham of restaurant they run. If you really want to try 10th and willow, bring 25 IDs. Bring your grandparents for identification. bring your birth certificate, your first pair of childhood shoes. A copy of blood work and a physical. And then maybe the rude staff will let you in. Complete joke of a business. Never going there again and I strong encourage others to stay away. Plenty of places in hoboken that serve better food that dont discriminate against customers. Manager was "on vacation". Thats nice. Lets just continue without him and not have a manager. O someone has a complaint? sorry, we dont allow those. People should voice their opions on here more often!

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Service is beyond terrible! I am from Michigan but I moved to this area recently for work. So i initially went for a walk to familiarize myself with the area and noticed the restaurant on the conner of willow & 10th ave. I proceeded to walk in to grab a bite to eat and maybe a drink. The bouncer stopped me at the door and ask me for an ID, I gave it to him(Im 22 years old). Then he looked at my ID for about 20 seconds before giving it back to me by that time I started to fell very uncomfortable. Then he asked what I was doing there. He said "What are you doing here? are you trying to get a drink or what?" I felt like my business was unwanted. DUHHHH i wanted to eat and drink, Im walking in to a restaurant for Gods sake. I then turned and left before sitting to order my food. I was on the phone with my mother during the time so she heard everything and how rude he was to me. After walking away, she suggested that I go back and speak to a manager regarding the bouncers customer service. So I went back to the guy and when I asked for the owner he told me he was not there and that hes never there. I asked him very politely is there a number I can have or someone to speak with because I did not like his customer service. He then got very defensive, started yelling at me, started telling me he didnt like what I was wearing and he said HE CAN SAY WHATEVER HE WANTS BECAUSE ITS A FREE COUNTRY. He told me the owners name is Aldo and His name is Nick. Needless to say.. I will be further investigating this situation. I want him fired!!!

Do not give this restaurant your money. At least not until they decide to change some of their staff/policies, which apparently after a year or so, they have not done. My last visit here was an awful experience. I went here with my friend and the bouncer asked us for ID, which is fine and normal for a Hoboken bar. Upon showing him our IDs, the bouncer asked us for a second form. My friend and I at the time were 23 and 24, so while we looked young, I dont believe we looked that young. I told him that I had credit cards that matched my name and a student ID from Stevens, to which he responded that Stevens students make fake IDs all the time and that he was going to refuse us admission. I jokingly asked him if I needed to show him my passport, to which he seriously said yes, that would help. WHAT AMERICANS CARRY THEIR PASSPORTS ON THEM! I told him to scan my ID if he didnt believe it was real, but apparently they dont have a scanner, so all he had to go off of was his gut instinct, to which I say is absolutely ridiculous. Eventually the manager came out after I argued with him for a while and he let us in. I am not surprised to see other posters saying the same thing happened to them. I have friends who told me about the exact same experience that they had when visiting this restaurant. Its a shame because their food is pretty good and the all you can eat wings deal is great. That being said, I wont be seen visiting this restaurant again any time soon unless things change, which does not seem to be happening.

SO I WaS told by My FrIeNdS in THe DeEp Valleys of HOBOken, there exists a place WhIch has a HaPPy WiNgs HoUR for $5 BUCKS, I was really happy. This spot has become our usual monday joint for wings happy hour. Have been here a couple of times. As one enters, one has to pay $5 upfront for the happy hour. Bear in mind the following points * 5 Bucks for 3 different kinds of wings. * One has to order 2 minimum drinks. * Only tables with no silverware are reserved for wings, rest all for normal dining. * The servers will repeatedly ask what you want for drinks. * One can non alcoholic drinks too to comply with 2 drink mimimum The first time I came here the bouncer was really nice but next time there was a different bouncer and he wasnt nice. Servers were nice but sometimes they overdo it just to make sure people order 2 drinks. Coming to wings they are good not exceptional though. I love hot wings, dont know why they have 2 kinds of sweet wings and only 1 kind of wings on menu whenever I went. Overall a decent place to have decent food!
