Disappointed with this restaurant based on the reviews. We tried the Shrimp Balchao appetizer based on the waiters recommendation. The sauce was excellent but the shrimp were unfortunately very undercooked. The garlic naan, the onion kulcha naan, and the plain naan were all good and tasty. The Samosa were small but ok. We had their "signature dish" Chicken Tikka Masala, the Tandoori Chicken, and the Mughlia Roghan Josh. The chicken was ok, a bit overcooked. The Tikka Masala sauce was not great in our opinion based on the limited flavor and watery consistency. The Mughlia Roghan Josh (goat) was a mistake by the waiter. We actually ordered Daal Mughlia (lentils) but didnt notice we got the wrong dish until we had already tasted the goat. The goat meat was tough though the sauce was not bad. In particular, we found the portion sizes to be ridiculously small to the point that we felt cheated. With tip and no alcohol we paid $105 for three people. The decor was nice but the room acoustics are terrible so that people had to speak very loud to hear each other which just compounded the problem. There are much better places to go for Indian food.

One of the best meals Ive had all year. The service was wonderful. My friends, my family, and I had such an exciting experience. The owner asked us if we were ordering plates simple because we were familiar with them, laughing we admitted yes, then he asked if we were open to his recommendations and we said yes, he grabbed our menus and returned with some of the best dishes we have ever had. We really enjoyed learning about the cuisine and appreciated all of the delicious surprises and the wonderful wine he paired with our food. Also I cant forget that he went above and beyond catering to my vegetarian needs. Really amazing people and really amazing food and wine. Most certainly coming back soon!

Food was okay. Not standard Mughlai food. We ordered Paneer Tikka, Methi Mutter and Paneer Butter Masala. Paneer Tikka was not spicy and was prepared in yellow color while normally you get in slight red color with spice. Paneer Butter Masala was red and too sweet. We generally have Butter Masala slightly sweet but not as good as desert.. Methi Mutter was good and we all liked it. I would not go again...if I may go, then its only because of owner and to eat Methi Mutter. Hence, two star.

Went here with my family post graduation and the experience was amazing! The spot has an amazing ambiance with such welcoming and hospitable staff. The food was so fresh and presented well visually. The balance of spices and flavor was just right and executed impeccably unlike other Indian spots in the city. This place is definetly perfect for an enjoyable lunch / dinner or even just to grab a quick bite.

The food here is very good, but there are areas that need improvement. Service was mediocre and the time between placing our order and receiving our food was much too long. Also the size of the portions appear to be less than many of the other Indian restaurants in NYC. With some improvement this restaurant could be very good.

Great food and friendly service. Beautiful ambience. This is better than curry hill on lexington. Being a bangali who loves fish, I had the fish curry with bassa fish and the food was outstanding and fresh. This was the best recommendation . I will be bringing the whole family soon. Very good food and the staff is also super nice! They gave us a free mango lassi and rice puddings. Very cozy and nice place with good music and a good atmosphere. Chicken tikka masala is recommended for sure and so is the cheese naan. Great place.

Amazing food. Amazing hosts. The chicken curry was exceptional. I was new in NY and did not know that they close at 3pm. So I went in at 2:56 but was greeted me with happy faces. Mango lassi was great too! A must visit.
