Ive been using them for some time. At their best theyre very good. But they screw up a lot. Although its not on the web site, they just cut delivery from daily to every other day. And for some reason, their customer service and quality control have gone to hell in a hand basket. It is totally out of control. The menu has changed. They stopped delivering a daily menu explaining what they sent, and some of the food containers are not even labeled. So its impossible to know what goes with what or even what everything is. I am a particularly demanding customer because I dont eat inherently unkosher foods. Ever since this changeover , they have been ignoring these restrictions and sending me food that I cannot eat. Even worse, when I call the customer service, they are very nice and eager to help but even they are unable to get the shipments right. If you have no dietary restrictions, you may have better luck than I did. But all told their service has hit a new all time low.

PROS: The meals range from good to very good. If you live in an apartment with no doorman, you can give them a front door key and theyll walk it up to your floor. Having them make and deliver all the food means youre less likely to have tempting calories at home. CONS: Besides the price? No online anything, they work strictly via phone. The website just an ad & a sample menu. Also they seem to like including baby spinach leaves with everything. EVERYTHING. Including french toast and crepes. I guess its like edible packing kernels to them, I dunno. Also they only deliver 6 days a week, so you have to be careful on your "vacation day". OVERALL: Ive lost weight with this plan, which is a health issue more than anything, so Im more than happy to renew.

Ive used their service several times over the last few years and they were okay, but this time around they no longer deliver the meals the night before, but in groups of three days at a time. I was very unhappy with this, but decided to stick with it. About a month ago they stopped delivering all together and blamed it on renovation delays. The didnt make any announcements until the night before they were supposed to make the next delivery. This was repeated four weeks in a row and now they will not answer the phone nor respond to any emails. Im afraid theyve gone out of business and they owe me 24 days worth of food! Thats nearly $750 lost. Im very upset. The last 6 reviews are all complaining about the same experience. #LeanChefs

The food is great. I got used to eating smaller portions and lost weight, without extra excerising. But I had problems with the service. I live in an apartment building and they broke the front door key I gave them. Once I didnt get my food untill 8:30AM (Its suppossed to get there before 6AM) I already ate something else (non-diet). And restrictions - if you have any ask them to email you a list and make sure its what yuo expect. They didnt always get that part right. The people in customer service answer my questions or tried to fix my problems, but they wouldnt have to, if things were done right the first time.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Disappointment after disappointment. If there was anything lower than 1 star Id give it. Youre going to be dealing with a company that will delay your deliveries, even cancel them without ANY notice. You have to pull teeth to get a delayed generic email saying "sorry we forgot to contact you that your deliveries will be delayed". Save your money and avoid their nasty food and stress. Lean Chef is garbage. Their company is garbage, and their employees are garbage.

My experience with them is aweful. I received food I didnt like even though I filled out the survey of what I do and dont want. I received food that had a label with what it is and something else in it. Then I didnt get a delivery for 4 days and no one in customer service calls you back. I payed 1200.00 dollars and its the worst service Ive ever seen. I better get a reembursment for the next17 days left. I only received it for 14 days and I payed for the 31 day plan.

Signed up with no problem. Food was never delivered. I called many times and left messages but never received a return call. Finally got an email saying they would deliver in a few weeks. They never delivered. I sent emails and left phone messages asking for a refund and still have not gotten anything back. Worst company ever. Terrible customer service! Dont ever use them

Awful company. Still waiting for a manager to call me. Totally unprofessional company. They send emails at 930 the night before a delivery to say they arent delivering. Has happened several times. After the third time I had enough. No customer service. Was told a manager was going to call me but no phone call

I used this service in the past. No problem... not great but not bad... a few weeks ago they suddenly stopped delivering... multiple emails saying they would deliver the following week but now... 4 weeks later still no delivery... they owe me at last half of what I paid. Not a good way to conduct business.

All I can say is that i am so happy. Food is absolutely delicious. I look forward to it every day and is true gourmet and truly fresh and no cleaning dishes. I have zero affiliation to lean chefs, except for being a customer for three weeks, just a really happy customer.

Ive been on lean chefs for 6 months and have lost 35lbs. Im very happy with the results and im never hungry. Whenever I travel I put my delivery on hold with no problems. The customer service is excellent.
