What I disliked about this shop was the service. My former boss loved this place, I like it, but was in need of a birthday cake so gave them a shot. While it was the end of the day and the selection was slim, the problem came when I tried to purchase my selection. The cashier walked away and I had to MAKE HIM NOTICE ME SO I COULD PAY! Meanwhile I already had the purchase in my hand. Really? I now have to make you charge me? I got so heated when he kept helping all those around me I flipped! The other server had noticed and thought the first guy was still helping me. So he gave me lots of those little financier individually wrapped cakes to shut me up all the while apologizing to the hilt. Still not happy. Have not been back and there is a new one - closer to my job at Fulton/Nassau Streets - perhaps I may see one afternoon how their service is.....

Really like this place for seeing shows. Barely any bad seats in the house other than a couple of seats behind the pillars. Glad I was warned about the service before coming. Our waiter was amazing! He checked on us a bunch of times and without disrupting the show. Loved seeing the show there and the food was good. Their hummus and scallops are my two favorite things on the menu so far. The hostess on the other hand seemed a bit green and couldnt figure out the seating map... Good thing I was with an easy going group because that took about 30 minutes. 3-3.5 stars for now. Might update at the next show. Lets see if next time they are able to seat us without 5 people reading the seat map. :) Cheers!

The cappuccino is quite good. Definitely better than Starbucks. Even better than my beloved Dunkin Donuts. I went with their scone, although I will admit um everything looked good and I would have much preferred to eat my way through the display. Restraint though... restraint. Along with the fact that would have cost a pretty penny! So verdict is its worth going out of the way. I loved the Euro cafe feel to it and it served to, darn it, secure the fact that Im likely to make that trip many many more times down that cobblestone road.

Horrible place to see a show for a popular act. Unless you have an aisle seat, you will feel more crammed into your seat than coach class on an airplane. The seats are literally right up against one another and there is no room to breathe. Read Alex R.s review. Ive given it 2 stars solely because of the great artists you can sit close to, albeit at a price on your body. The more popular the artist, the more uncomfortable you will be. Go to The Village Vanguard or Birdland. You will have room to relax and enjoy yourself there.

My favorite Financier cafe! Its out of the way unless you work in the area, but I used to go to high school right across the street. Its really nice in the summer with outdoor sitting and all the Wall st people having lunch on Stone street. Obviously all their pastries are delish, but the joy in this branch is sitting by the window with a book and daring to try a pastry you havent before!

The pastries here were absolutely delicious! Wonderful little surprise to find considering where it is. Inside is clean, very simple. The only reason I didnt give it 5 starts Id because the staff is a bit rude and kind of ignored my family and I until we asked to place the order. Not many smiles. But thats okay because the food totally made up for it :)

Macaroons are the reason to come, to stay, and to come again. The pistachio is heavenly; also try the mocha. Some of the baked goods are great, but I would steer clear of the bear claw. After eating the macaroons, youll agree with Homer Simpson: Mmmmmmmmmm, Macaroons. I think Ill head there now.

Fancy, eh? I no longer work in this area but crave the vegetarian sandwich, a mozzarella and fried-tomato panini. Sandwiches come with a little dish of olives, and coffees are served with a little cookie. A nice spot for an afternoon coffee break- the macarons and other pastries are beautiful.

I feel this place is overrated. Not that they aren’t great, just not “that” great. Their pastries are often full of flavored cream instead of something of substance. I prefer more cake, or flakes, or something that I can actually chew and swallow, not just waffling down blobs of cream.

I feel fancy ordering coffee at this place. I love the green colors and the pretty lighting. I like this place for afternoon coffee but doesnt quite pack the punch for my morning caffeine needs. You also get a free little cake with your coffee order. Yum.

excellent french style patisserie! cosy, nice, friendly... premium quality and wide range of pastries, some of which tasted even better and definitely way less expensive than in many paris patisseries... all in all: great value for money

Love this place! Salads are super fresh, sandwiches are excellent and the cakes, cookies and pastries are to die for. Love that they give you a mini Madeline with your coffee. Friendly staff and great French-style atmosphere.

The service is kind and delightful. The pastries not quite so - edible:yes. Fresh; maybe. Greaseless: no. A nice place to have a cup of coffee - but making a happy croissant should not be so hard in this city...

Not only did they get my order wrong once, but twice. A quick lunch turned into an hour lunch. The cashier was completely out of sync with the kitchen. The food was a ridiculuosly small amount.

Small pastry shop, had run out of sandwiches except for one, pastry was so-so, made really bad coffee. Maybe it was a bad time of day (around 4) but experience was just unsatisfactory.

Meh. Seriously bummed. The macarons were dry, flavorless & old. (I know how day old macarons dry out.) You can literally see how dry these were- totally sad.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We tried the raspberry macaron and it had really good flavor but did not melt in the mouth as much as others that Ive had.

The food at Financier is great, even though its not truly their primary proficiency; Ive found that the coffee and hot cocoa they serve is fantastic.

The staff rushes you but thats becuase of the high demand for their butter cakes. A delicious treat for those in the Stone St area
