I live in south florida and all i can say is theyre the best! ive been dieing for lard bread and havent had it for over 25 yrs so my urges were like hmmmm does it even exist anymore? Well i contacted my cousin from south brooklyn and he totally said yes and connected me to this bakery. Well to make matters even more interesting they ship right to my door Im like wooohooo a kid on pasta sunday all over again. Nothing but praise and great people who took care of me and have done so already a couple of times. Mazzola Thank you for keeping the traditions alive I was so used to as a child growing up in brooklyn.....

Went to this bakery per all the High ratings and I see why. Great Atmosphere, Staff and the aroma engulfs you the moment you enter the front door. They didnt have what I was looking for but they recommended me to another pastry shop. Thats is unbelievable cause another pastry shop in Cobble Hill (that will remain nameless ~corner of Court & Warren St) would prefer the customer not to get what they want, how RUDE. Highly recommend this place and Thank You for the recommendation!!

Fantastic bread for great prices. They have this one bread with cheese in the middle, just awesome. But after visiting this place for a year someone finally told me about lard bread. They couldnt stop raving about it. So I stopped by Mazzola and asked for a loaf. The customer next to me in line just went off about how awesome Lard bread is. Then the staff joined in. It was insane. But yet, the bread was great.

Cute, Italian Bakery in Carroll Gardens. Came here based on my cousins recommendation. They have assortment of Italian cookies, breads and pastries. They also have cupcakes. They are famous for their lard bread, which has pieces of prosciutto in it, but almost everything else is also delicious. I especially like their hazelnut coffee, which you can get hot or iced.

I think Mazzolas has the best lard bread in the neighborhood (yes, Ive tried most, if not all of them!) The lard bread and the spinach bread are both great hostess gifts if youre visiting somewhere from out of town. My favorite "everyday" bread is their Tuscan loaf. They also have great iced coffee. And my kids never refuse a cookie when I take them there.

Hands down the best italian bakery Ive been to so far. Cosy and filled with baked goods, the breads and pastries and a case stacked with cookies. There is so much to enjoy here on a quiet weekday morning as the usuals come in and out for their coffees and breakfast. Grab some yourself and people watch on the little bench outside. Lovely.

LA LA LA LAAAAARRRRDDDDD BREAD!!!! The Aroma in Mazzola is as fine as fresh spring air after a rain shower. Should the earth lose our oxygen supply due to depletion of the rain forest, no worries, we still have Mazzola for the Aroma.

Very good bread, fine coffee, friendly service. I often pick-up my breakfast here on my way to the office. Just stay away from the bagels. Their bread is first class but the bagels leave a lot to be desired.

Make this trek, get a loaf of lard bread. Seriously, you will not regret it. The inside is soft, doughy, and moist. The outside is crisp and flaky. Inside has a bounty of diced salami.

This is a real Brooklyn Italian bakery. Get there early. Everything here is wonderful but the Italian classic pastries are super wonderful. Dont miss the Sfogliatelle!
