MY FIRST TIME EVER WRITING A REVIEW for any restaurant, if I could rate -5 then I would! We had ordered delivery from this place before and it was remarkable! My friends and I were excited to attend for their happy hour. Never expected it to turn out like this. After sitting at the bar during happy hour, we were greeted and the bartender immediately took our drink orders, we ordered food, and mind you (YOU CANNOT ORDER AT THE RESTAURANT WHAT YOU ORDER FOR DELIVERY BECAUSE THE DELIVERY KITCHEN IS IN THE BASEMENT AND APPARENTLY ITS TOO INCONVENIENT TO BRING FOOD UP IF A CUSTOMER IS REQUESTING IT). All was fine, we ordered something else, and continued ordering a second round of drinks. Our friend arrives with her younger niece and of course we agree to close out and move to a table since she cannot sit at the bar as a minor. Our tab comes and margaritas that were supposed to be $5 for happy hour CAME OUT TO $11 because we asked for mango!!!!! Meaning $6 upcharge for syrup!!! CRAZY!!! I told the bartender did he not think that that should have been communicated to us, and he replied with "well you didnt ask" IM SORRY BUT IT IS OBVIOUS PEOPLE COME FOR HAPPY HOUR AND COMMON SENSE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD TELL YOU TO LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW!!!!!! It was obvious he knew exactly what he was doing. The manager was also standing there when this conversation happened and had nothing to say. Coming from a bartender and working in the hospitality industry i thought this was a joke!!!!! Not to mention when we moved to the table he continued to look at me from behind the bar with a vicious look! If this is your place of employment, and if youre willing to stare a customer down then obviously this establishment and this staff carries no morals nor values. This entire place was a joke, our service at the table was also terrible as they hardly attended to us and we had to ask for someone to come take our order. WE WILL NEVER BE ORDERING from or ATTENDING this restaurant again. The fact that I am from Texas and this place is called El Paso is an insult as they dont represent southern hospitality at all!

I work in the area and frequent this place many times for take out. On ocasions i eat in. At first I hated this place food was good but service was horrible. They cleaned up their service now and are more attentive. HOWEVER, i just left the restaurant because i decided to order take out and not dine-in. My Bill was 17.00 just had some guac and sparking water. I was not feeling to good & i forgot to leave the cash. I payed with card and always tip cash. This waiter or host starts jumping down my throat because i forgot to tip. " so you dont tip i mean it is up to you but youre supposed to tip for my service". I reached for my pocket for some cash and was ABOUT to apologize & tip but his aggresivness over a tip for this $17 bill was excessive. After jumping down my throat harrasing me for a tip am i going to feel like tipping you? Can you ask me why i did not tip? maybe i did not like the service or the fact that you took my menus and asked me if i am actually going to order before dipping into my guac. Reality is i forgot as i had payed with card and was calling a cab service on my way out. Extreemly rude disrespectful this man was. This place will always be rememberd as tip beggers because of him. Too bad last time i brunched there i left a $15 tip i wish i could take that back too. What pisses me off the most is that in a week i spent over $150 on food there. He ruined it , Never going back aslong as he is there.

By far the worst food Ive ordered on Seamless, and have had delivered, in 5 years in NYC. I wanted to try several things so I ordered a few tacos and a lunch "enchilada burrito. All 4 types of tacos came wrapped up in one foil ball. They were a mess. There were radishes mixed in just cut in half, and chunks of limes mixed in the tacos. The chicken meat was dry and flavorless. The Chorizo was good, very spicy. The beef was dry and flavorless, and the Carnitas taco were big chunks of dry pork - but mostly huge chunks of inedible fat, it was thrown away after one bite. No hot sauce or salsas were sent with the tacos. The Carnitas "enchilada" Burrito had no resemblance of an enchilada. It was the big chunks of fat and dry pork mixed with MAYO, lettuce, tomato, onion, rice, black beans. There is no description on Seamless of what is actually in this menu item, and I was very disappointed. I do not eat mayo at all, so I was disgusted when biting into a "enchilada burrito to find this. I wish I could give 0 stars because it took about an hour for delivery, the delivery guy could not have been more unfriendly, and the whole lunchtime meal cost $22. Dont waste your money here, there are plenty of good Mexican restaurants. - A NYC Chef.

THIS REVIEW IS STRICTLY ABOUT THE FOOD TRUCK. The food truck camps out near my apartment most week days and I finally got around to trying it last night. Despite the 15 minute wait (someone else ordered and was served while I continued waiting) the food was legit. It even heats up nicely for leftovers too, which for me, a leftover hater, is a big deal. They serve octopus, lengue, chicken, pork, veggie, etc tacos, have enchiladas in mole or green salsa, burrito options, horchata, flan, mexican coke and other authentic mexican flavors. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find such a rare gem sitting on my UES street. Despite the wait, I will probably come back to this bright red food truck to try more!! Was a bit expensive, but its expected from a food truck. $8 enchiladas and burrito. $4 drinks

I went to the restaurant with my wife yesterday I reviewed the menu it doesnt seem like traditional Mexican food, to me it seems like overpriced "hipster inspired somewhat Mexican cuisine". I ordered pineapple juice for my woman since she does not speak English the waiter was obviously Mexican and I told her that my woman does not speak English to please speak in Spanish, the waiter put on a fake Spanish accent as if she did not speak Spanish when clearly she did. I felt very uncomfortable and decided that I didnt want to eat there and left. I think the place is ridiculous and Will never go again. Im not impressed, if I could give 0 stars I would.

The food and ambience were fantastic! Great decor, friendly service, definitely quality food! It was a little on the pricey side in my opinion. The tacos werent too expensive, but they were served with no sides. We ordered an appetizer of tostaditas, which were sooooo good, but they were TEENY TINY and not cheap. This is the perfect place if you want a special night out with delicious Mexican food! If youre looking for something cheaper but just as quality, visit one of the other places in the area. Overall, great experience! Just know that if you want something large and tasty, like the Tampiquena, itll cost more than 30 bucks per plate!
