The food is good, the service is decent. Beer selection is great. But 90 minute unlimited mimosas during brunch (including Friday) and their happy hour selection is where this place really shines! I went yesterday and the bartendress (I am sure thats not a word, but I loathe the term barmaid) was friendly and accomodating. But the manager, a short guy with an attitude was not my favorite. He started off by pretending to be friendly and rubbing the head of a 7 year old little boy who was just trying to sell cookies to my friend, but then heartlessly kicked him out the restaurant, claiming it was illegal. Im sure the cops are so ready to bust a cute little wide-eyed kid with a box of Famous Amos, whos undoubtedly trying to scrape up like $50 for school clothes or something. At the last few minutes of happy hour our bartendress disappeared and we wanted one last drink so we approached the manager. Of course he gave us a song and a dance and acted like he was doing us a huge favor by selling it to us, because I still had a half drink. In all, I would still go and I recommend this place, but this guy isnt going to win you over with his annoyed aloofness.

I enjoy Spanish food and Spanish tapas, especially their seafood. I found this Spanish tapas restaurant, who also is opened for brunch. Their food looked really good, so we decided to head over for some good tapas for brunch. From the outside, it didn’t really look like much, and seemed really small. The inside is rather small, but with lots of natural lights coming in from large windows and vivid colors, it made the space feel a bit more open. We started with coffee and mimosa, which were both just ok. They offer regular brunch items, such as Benedict, Omelet, and Pancakes, but we wanted some tapas to share, so we only ordered from the tapas menu. They were all delicious and super awesome, we loved them all. We also had desserts, they were ok, but the tapas were the best. We had a really nice brunch here. The staffs were nice and friendly, and the tapas were great. High quality and delicious, good amount and pricing were kind as well. I heard they have good paella, I would love to go back there for dinner to get some of their paella! Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

A jewel in the crown of Washington Heights. Have you ever found a place close to home and think I dont want to tell people about it because its my secret place? Mine! Thats how much I think of Marcha Cocina. Of course I share it, sometimes. Excellent place any day, any time. I pop in after work or like now, Sunday afternoon. When I should be grocery shopping, dont judge, its thirsty work. Regardless of when you come, you are guaranteed a few things; excellent food, the best happy hour and great service. Fish tacos and calamari are two of my favorites. The Paella con Langosta and the Croquetas are delicious. Im quickly eating my way through the menu and nothing has failed thus far. The decor is modern, clean with great uptempo music. It all helps whisk your imagination away to distant islands. The staff are always ready with a welcoming smile and a devilish cocktail, whatre you waiting for? Get in there! Sent from my iPhone Sent from my iPhone

The location of Marcha Cocina is great if you live in Washington Heights or work somewhere at Columbia University Medical Center. Its easy to miss, but definitely worth a stop in. I came for happy hour the other day and it was great! They have a number of really awesome deals on draft beers, wines, sangrias, and margaritas from 3-8 pm. I love that their happy hour starts earlier than most, and their white sangria was not only affordable but also delicious. I didnt get to try any of the food but hope to be back for it some time! It smelled so good near the kitchen. The decor is so cute and colorful - I love the yellow couches! They were also playing a great playlist while I was there that was not too loud so you could still talk to those you were with. Would definitely recommend to stop by for happy hour with some friends or coworkers if youre in the area!

I’m no expert on Spanish tapas, but everything I have tried for dinner at Marcha Cocina has been so delicious! With their fine happy hour (half off from 5-8pm) and generous portion sizes, this is the place to go to when dining in the CUMC area. I’d recommend getting the Tortilla al Sarten, a Spanish omelette that comes served in a delightful, small frying pan; it looks like a fritatta, but the potatoes and piquillo pepper-heavy omelette is silky and smooth. Another crowd-pleasing dish is the arroz con pollo: it is a simpler variation of paella, with an emphasis on aromatic paprika, crunchy rice grains, and tender pieces of chicken. During lunchtime, none of these tapas are offered; only sandwiches and soups that can be found in any of the nearby delis are served, so make sure to come for dinner!

Went to Marcha for food and drinks around 5pm on a Saturday. Super friendly staff, very attentive. We had the goat cheese croquetas, tortilla española, patatas bravas, and albondigas (meatballs). Everything was delicious, and brought out as soon as it was ready. Make sure you dip the bread that comes with the meatballs in the sauce, as its an amazing combo. We had the red sangria, which was pretty good as well. The churros make an excellent end to any meal! The place is small but well spaced. It wasnt very busy when we arrived, but it filled up towards the end of our stay. Definitely recommended for tapas.

Food: I had eggs benedict with salmon. I forget what my sister had. The food was good, prices a bit high for the area Service: There were only 3 tables (including us) with people. The food was surprisingly slow to come out. not a big deal, but I noticed that they bought out the food for a table that came in 10-15 min after we did... and then ours a few min later. Again, not a big deal, just wonder how it would be on a busy day/night. Ill come back and give the brunch another try, its nice to have places like this in the area.

If you live in Washington Heights, or are just visiting, be sure to have a sandwich, tapas, or drink at Marcha. I ordered a ham sandwich and a ginger ale. With tax and tip, it set me back $15, which is normal for that area. Because I was the only customer, I was able to chat a bit with Kimberly, the server/bartender, and I have to say that her friendliness and positive attitude were much appreciated.

Good place good good and good drinks their is only a few things wrong with this place which lost it from getting 5 stars which are that it has limited space and half the space is freezing in the winter because its so close to the door and its expensive, me and my wife went here to just have a random dinner and had two drinks and the bill was over $100 and we didnt even eat that much at all

Best food in the Heights. Small, but popular venue, so it gets crowded. Its well worth the wait. The drinks are great, the food is amazing. The bartender is hilarious. 10/10 in my book. Would be a 11/10 if they knocked down the walls and made it bigger. Its that good!
