Ive eaten at Sunshine Restaurant on several occasions, and the food is excellent. The rice n peas are not dry or burnt like some Jamaican restaurant rice and be. The staff is very friendly and do all they can to meet the need of the customers. I love going in there and listening to the different reggae music that is being played. I also appreciate the owner playing nothing but gospel music on Sundays. The owner is very friendly and would greet, speak, and even take orders if he has too. He is a very nice man and have intelligent conversations with you as well. The atmosphere is great and you get alot of food for your money. I was just told that the menu is going to change a little. For all of you Jamaican food lovers, Tuesdays cow feet and butter beans will be served; Wednesday stew peas will be served; on the weekends you can purchase Ackee and salt-fish. There will also be a special weekend breakfast for both Saturdays and Sundays serving Ackee and salt-fish with yam, banana and/or steam fish. I am looking forward to the add-ons and we as faithful customers should take advantage of the new items added on the menu.

I used to walk past this place all the time on my way to the corner store for like 4-5 years straight. One day when I was tired of chicken, I went in there in got some stewed beef. It was ok. Then I went back and got some curried chicken. That was really on point. The only downside is that they want like $10 for a meal. Thats expensive for me. So most of the time when I go there now, its to get a beef pattie or two or an Arizona Iced Tea. And the review by Jordan is incorrect when he says "takeout only."

I absolutely love this restaurant.the people are very friendly and the food is absolutely wonderful I eat here very often I dont know about the other Jamaican resturants but I know this place food is wonderful the jerk chicken and yams and Mac and Cheese are they best and they give u so much food for ten dollars omg u can feel your family of three off one of there platters.... Keep up the great work.....

I just visited this place. OMG is the food great. beef parties were spot on. ($1.50/1) but they are big. I also got the lunch jerk chicken with rice/pea and collard greens. and everything was nicely seasoned and spicy. Service was great (take out only). they have the basics but do them very well, and is really close to ewing. also big portion sizes

Ive been going here for a few years and the food and service have never disappointed. You can get a "small" meal with one side for about $8 or get a "large" with two swipes for around $9.50. Both sizes give you lots of good food. Ive had the jerk chicken, curry chicken, candied yams and mac and cheese and loved all of it.

I wouldnt recommend this place. I was served burned rice. I would have rather them tell me that they ran out of rice then to give me a container full of smoke-ridden sticky rice and beans. Been going there for years, but I wont be back. $13 for a meal I couldnt even fully enjoy.

This place use to sell delicious food but not anymore. Used to be my regular restaurant now i wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Bought two oxtail dinner total disappointment.. Decided to give it a second chance bigger disappointment and it doesnt end there.
