I love Pizza Ranch. I ate a lot of Pizza Ranch pizza in college, and it was always great. What I really love, though, is their lunch buffet. Well priced, they have a decent selection of pizzas, salad bar (who eats salad at a pizza place?), and amazing fried chicken with all the sides -- roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and so on. Their chicken is even better than their pizza; perfectly cooked, crispy, perfectly spiced outside. The biggest challenge when eating there is getting the perfect balance of chicken and pizza. Too much chicken, and you dont have room for the pizza. Too much pizza, and theres no room for chicken. However you find that perfect ratio, you will leave full and happy.

Probably the best fried chicken in Iowa City believe it or not. Their buffet has a lot of great options, including a salad bar. Their pizza offering is great. Whatever you want, you just let them know and they will make a whole pie just for you. I dont normally have their pizza, as far as I can tell the pizza is fine. The salad bar could offer a better selection of greens and the buffet pricing could be more competitive, but over all youre bound to have a delicious meal.

Delightful buffet and loved the pop suggestions pairings with pizzas! On par with Godfathers buffet, but here they have way better pizza options including, but not limited to, BBQ chicken, Chicken-Bacon-Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, Cheeseburger, and the classics. Chicken, rolls, cheese sticks, veggies and salad were all slightly above average as well. Great after church spot!

The staff is pleasant and helpful. Pizza i your average buffet style pizza, but they will make any of their specialty pizzas on request for the buffet. The fried chicken here is the real treat. Definitely a great spot for a family dinner. they also have a toy and book area to help parents with keeping the little ones occupied.

Ordered a chicken pack and had it delivered and they didnt send the mashed potatoes/gravy or biscuits. Called them to ask to send them, argued with me stating that you had to order them separate. Ummm.... your menu states the ranch pack comes with family mashed potatoes and gravy with six biscuits. Never ordering again.

Disappointed! We went here after trying to find a place without a wait. Arrived 5 minutes after they "closed" their buffet, and they insisted we could only order from the menu. Yet, they were clearly still restocking the buffet. We didnt actually eat there, so I cant say to the food quality.

Not a huge selection; but its a great place to gather up the little ranch hands and head out to. Food is very constantly good and tasty. Great place to take the kids. Family specials some nights. Plenty of parking and the place is kept nice and tidy.
