I paid for the whole seat but I only needed the edge! Seriously though, one of the best places Ive eaten at in this area. One of a kind coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were perfectly seasoned and dont even need bbq sauce, but the sauce is even out of this world. The cornbread is homemade and equally fantastic. Seems like it would be hard to go wrong with any choice on the widespread menu. 10 times out of 10, would eat again!

I work in Taft twice a month and visit this place every time. I love the family owned operation and love joking with the owner about the America Dream of owning her own business. Her, her husband, and the staff make this place fun. Her husband makes the meat great. You cant go wrong here.

The place is cute and the servers were attentive. My turkey avocado sandwich was ok- really heavy in the basil, but I wasnt a fan of the broccoli cheese soup - I was expecting more of cream base, which this definitely was not. Prices were very fair and portion size was generous.

Everything here is done right, and with love. The owners are on hand and engaged with customers. Dont miss the brisket on Friday night, or the pastrami everyday.
