Edited review from 5 stars to 1 star on 11/6/2015 Horrible experience: if you are elderly dont ever go here because they will ignore you. My Mom took her bridge group here today for lunch. They are in their 80s and 90s. They ordered and waited 45 minutes then realized that people that came in after them got their food. Finally a patron helped them get their food. It turns out the order never made it from the order taker to the kitchen. When the food finally arrived, my Mom said her hamburger was cold. Probably because they let it sit to get cold while the rest of the partys food was getting ready. I feel bad because my Mom and I usually love our food and time here. Then they didnt even comp the party a free meal. They did give a small gift card. HORRIBLE Experience for my Mom and her 3 friends she recommended they go there for lunch. Old review from when they first opened in May. It was 5 stars at that time. Best burger Ive ever had. Highly recommended. Try the bacon and blue cheese. All grass fed beef. Yum.

This is what build-your-own burger joints should be like. Lots of options for meat (including 2 fish options and vegan; most options are wild, organic or top grade antibiotic free), tasty and unique custom sauces, great toppings and really good sides. The garlic fries are absolutely the best Ive ever had (made with garlic oil and no dried out minced garlic), and the kale salad was shockingly delicious (even to those of us that like a good kale salad). The service was friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in our experience, even though we came in 30 minutes before closing.

I liked the trio sliders. It comes with three patties: turkey, bison, and beef; with caramelized and fried onions, cheddar, pickles, and their house sauce. Patties were slightly above average, but one of them was a little too dry for my taste. The caramelized onion added a little too much liquid so it got messy. Overall it was a decent slider. I really liked their house sauce. The sauce was a smokey sweet ketchup base with a spice added to it.

When we want a quality burger, we drive all the way from Monterey to Saratoga to go to Big Basin Burger Bar. You get to pick and choose exactly how you want your burger, from the meat to the bun to all the stuff in between. Friendly atmosphere, Karina, the server behind the bar is amazingly friendly and the whole place gives off a good vibe. Dog friendly patio in the front - and they even put a bowl of water out for Fido.

We are out of towners and have eaten at big basin burger twice. The quality of the food is outstanding. I am a foodie and generally do not eat out too often because of the low quality of food served. This place is "over the top".

Lots of options, big TVs. Very cute atmosphere. The vegan burger is pretty dense & the patty is way too big for the bun. But, everyone seemed to enjoy it there. Even though it was crowded we were able to find a table quickly.

Awesome burgers and a great beer selection. Try the Parmesan Truffle Fries, they are great! Definitely try the Wild Thing Buffalo Burger, it is delicious and doesnt sit heavy, very satisfying. Yum!
