Went their for my lunch break today, Ive been there a few times buying beer and theyve never done me wrong so I figured I should give their sandwiches a try. Went for a Turkey Club but they were out of Turkey so I decided to compliment my Bacon with Ham and try out some Fresh Ginger Ginger Ale I spotted in the cooler. For the sake of simplicity I just had him put everything on the sandwich except for the cheese. It was about a 10minutes wait and I was out the door with my little brown bag. When I got home I took a look at the sandwich... thats a hearty sandwich! Lots of everything in this thing including cucumbers and YES, they use Dijon (mixed with a honey mustard). Oh geez this was a good sandwich, no really, thats a good sandwich, I regret wasting all my time going to Safeway up the street, the $2 difference in price is well worth it! Actually as I write this Im thinking of going back there for dinner before class tonight! And that Ginger Ale, that was tasty as heck too! Im going on a hunt to find that in six packs now!

As a native New Yorker, 8 bucks for a bacon egg and cheese sounded pretty absurd to me. However, I was starving and really couldnt resist. What fascinated me most was that the woman who made my sandwich microwaved everything. Yes, thats right - she microwaved the eggs and bacon. I was pretty apprehensive by this point, and even more so when it was placed on a ciabatta roll rather than the standard roll that Im so used to. However, it was actually pretty good! I mean, obviously it tasted different because it was microwaved, but it was really not bad. Definitely not comparable to an NYC bacon, egg & cheese though. Our sandwich also came with a free piece of fruit - still not a reasonable price!

I lived down the street from here last year. First impression was the large variety of beverages (alcoholic and non). The snack options are so unique I have yet to most of those items on sale elsewhere. Decided to try the sandwiches one day. It was so good I found myself making a run for subs once or twice a week for my girl and I. Last and not least the employees. Very friendly and informative. I miss this store a lot and if I ever go back to SF I will stop by. I highly recommend.

Great selection of beer, including limited stock of Pliney the Elder that arrives every Thursday. Get it before it runs out! Sandwiches are also very good. There is ten minute parking in front of the store that is usually available and excellent for a quick alcohol restock run.
