I AM NOT SURPRISED ABOUT ALL THE TERRIBLE REVIEWS I JUST READ ABOUT THIS PLACE. I have never been a customer but rather a service provider. They wrote me two bad checks & have since refused to pay for services rendered. The work was done on 4/9/12 & involved several hundred dollars in parts. We are still owed over $1000. Shame on the people that run this place. Hopefully this review will serve as a warning for other contractors & service providers. DO NOT DO ANY WORK FOR THIS PLACE! (My ratings of food, decor & service were required in order to add my two cents. Based on the other reviews thank God I never ate there. Count my poor marks as my review of the owners integrity) 02/11/13 Update Hired an aggressive collections agency that sent private detectives to Pier West several times in an attempt to collect debt owed. On last visit the detectives were cussed out by bar owners brother who claimed to be a lawyer. He stated they would not pay because the amount owed was not a felony & only a misdemeanor. We will see how sharp his skills are. We have now hired a local attorney in Twin Lakes & are suing Pier West for writing bad checks & theft of services! As of 11/3/13 these folks have still not paid there bill. We are taking them to court!

Granted, had it not been snowing we wouldnt have gone here. The staff, with only a handful of people in the establishment, was utterly confused and were off put by us asking if we were to get service. In my mind, as for being one in the industry, when youre slow and a customer comes in, youre happy to make a quick buck or two. The waiter went to get our waitress and she walked by twice before even acknowledging us and then everytime we got sodas refilled (2 each) she mixed them up (there were 2 different colored straws which shouldve made it easy). And lastly, when asked a question about an additional charge for cheese on a burger (something I would assume is quite commonly asked), the waitress had no idea. Also, as a post script, the bathrooms have no heat and are not an enjoyable escape from the freezing cold and snow outside. Absolutely ridiculous.

I must have had a bout of amnesia because I decided it would be a good idea to go back to Pier West for dinner. Having faith in the results of the show Restaurant Impossible, I thought "hey why not give Pier West a try". Well guess what, the food was terrible and the service was even worse. This was especially astounding because the restaurant was approximately 1/8 full and there was a server for every table.

Should have took a hint from the way the hostess acted, she looked like she did not know what she was doing. The food was terrible, they have no email to direct this matter to. My ribs were burnt, my scallops too mushy,husbands steak was over cooked, service was not good. It was so loud in there, we could not hear each other or the waiter. I went home in a bad mood. I wont be going back there again.

The food is passable, but the service is the worst Ive ever encountered. The bar manager is better suited for employment as a toll booth attendant.......well a really rude toll booth attendant.

Atmosphere was nice. Food was mediocre. My salad was slimy and wilted and they did not take it off the bill! But the drinks were good and the staff was nice.

I ate there on Friday night and the next day was so sick from food poisoning that I had to go to the hospital. Will never eat here again.
