Ive been here twice now, and both times the food was EXCELLENT, tasted fresh and home-made and the serving sizes were a fantastic. Cant say enough good things about the food...and they make a Bloody Mary that will knock your socks off! The service is another story entirely. First time I went there mid-day, bar was fairly full so we sat at a table and the bartender/waitress was super friendly and her service was fun and professional and I was so happy to find such a great place so close to home. The second time I went there, again mid afternoon, not at all busy ( less than ten customers in the whole place and all at the bar.) so we sat at the bar to save the bartender/waitress some extra steps. She was a total b*tch: She ignored our presence altogether for about 5 minutes and after we called her over, she condescended to give us menus and offer us a drink. She couldnt ( or wouldnt) tell us what was on tap and I had to get up and go look. Then she took a good 10 minutes to pull our beers, because she was too busy drying bar glasses and chatting up the men at the other end of the bar! She continued to ignore us entirely for another 10-15 minutes before eventually wandering over to see if we wanted to order food....I guess I think that when customers ask for menus, you might assume that they will want to order food, but maybe thats just me. when all was (not) said and (not) done we couldnt place a food order for more than 1/2 hour! Not kidding..it was like we were getting "Punked" for some TV show. I was getting a bit irate by that time, because I had recommended this place and brought out of town friends here, and this woman was treating us like we had crapped on her toast, and for no reason whatsoever. I have been both a server and a bartender, and I treat everyone who does those jobs VERY well, and I had never seen this woman before in my life. She continued to give us service only if we actually called her over for something, she never asked how our meals were, wouldnt tell us how the shake a day worked ( we all wanted to play a round) and in generally just continued to behave in a manner that should result in her immediate termination. We never complained, and even though we had to serach out and get our to-go boxes ourselves from the supply area, I still tipped this b*tch 15%, because I know how little mid-day bartenders make usually, but I tell you that I was steaming by the time we left. Now Im torn...I love the food, the drinks and the general atmosphere at this place, and its so convenient to my home, but feel that I cannot give my patronage to a restaurant/bar who employs people as rude as this woman was to us. If I were to rate this establishment based on my first visit, it would be a solid 5 stars. However, based on my second visit, I would not be inclined to return at all, nor would I recommend it to anyone who appreciates polite service. Management needs to address this issue ASAP.

I used Not Justa Catering to cater my wedding on 10/8/16. Bob and Laura are absolutely terrible to work with. They dont return phone calls or do what they say they are going to do. Ive emailed Laura several times and never received an answer. I met with her 2 months before the big day to get everything confirmed. She was supposed to get prices on punch and napkins for me. Never heard from her. It was a week and a half before my wedding. They had $1500 deposit down and I still hadnt heard from them to get a head count. I ended up called them. She still hadnt gotten prices for me. The day of was a disaster. We had agreed that it would be a buffet style dinner, but I wanted people serving the food so no one went up and took too much. I also inquired about having enough food - most places charge a percentage extra to accommodate for people taking more or going up for seconds. I was assured they already account for this and theyve never run out of food in 30 years. So I gave them a head count of 150 (even though I only had 145 confirmed). 135 people actually showed up. My new husband started the buffet line. There was a server who dished up our roast beef. She put meat on my plate and my husbands plate, then turned around and said "Im not doing this all night". So no one served the food. They ended up running out of food! I had 2 tables that did not eat. Bob said not to worry and that he already made a call and more food was on the way, and it will be there in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later...no food. Those 2 tables eventually got served, but it was almost an hour later. And the food they brought in wasnt even the same as the food we ordered! Bob told us he was so embarrassed and they had enough food for 250 people. That is impossible. My parents were more embarrassed than anyone. I thought maybe we would get a phone call later or something apologizing, but it is more than 3 weeks after our wedding and we have received nothing. I would never recommend this place to cater. Terrible service.

In response to my first review of Not Justa Café catering my wedding and running out of food...I posted a review to their Facebook page. Within a day I received an email from Bob. I was excited at first because I thought maybe he was writing to apologize. Boy, was I wrong. Not only did he not apologize, but basically called me a liar and a terrible person for leaving the review I left. He also said that he knew I was on a budget and they were nice and cut me some deals. Major issue with that...I never once told him my so called budget...I simply asked for a quote. He had the lowest quote for the best food so we took it. Quite honestly, he could have quoted me $1000 higher and we likely would have still gone with him. I even told him how I will pay more for extras like napkins and such. Also to pay extra for servers because I was paranoid about running out of food - with good reason apparently. Its not my fault that they sold themselves short. A customer should never have to suffer because the caterer undersold the job. Bottom line, never use these guys to cater. Not Justa Café used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Because of how crappy my wedding day was catered by them and then how crappy we were treated afterwards, we will never eat there again.

I had planned to meet my daughter here for bfast/lunch today. I showed up at 10:30, when they opened. We waited outside for the sign to light up and the front door to unlock but it never did. An employee drove up and entered and we also saw someone inside that saw us waiting. We were looking forward to trying it. We waited until 10:40, I may have waited longer but I really needed a restroom after a morning of coffee. :). Bummer for them. I thought it was extra rude that employees saw us and ingnored us. I guess they didnt want our business so we went to the Everyday Cafe....Which was awesome!
