First, Ill start by saying I had been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Weve stopped in Cannon Falls many times at the winery, but never had time to eat at this restaurant across the street. We happened to be passing through town and had time to stop for lunch. I will not be returning. We sat at the bar, and it was about 15 minutes before someone even acknowledged our presence. We ordered our lunch, which took about 25 minutes to arrive - I ordered a French dip with fries, my husband ordered the chicken fajita wrap with fries. The French dip was so terrible, I couldnt even eat it. Im not exaggerating when I say it was a small hoagie with 6 thin slices of off-brand packaged roast beef, sprinkled with cheese, and zapped in a microwave for a few minutes, at least. The roast beef was crusty on the edges. All of that for $12. My husband switched meals with me, so then I tried the chicken fajita wrap, which happened to be about the same price It was about the size of a snack wrap from McDonalds. The grease oozed out of it from the over oiled peppers. Extremely disappointed, will not be returning, and would not recommend this place to others.

Recently moved to Cannon Falls, and glad theres a place like Mill Street here. Decent tap and bottle selection, great food, spacious patio for when the weather is nice, and friendly staff. It can be busy around the dinner hour, so we tend to pop in at off peak times. Highly recommend the southwest chicken salad, salmon sandwich, or chicken pita. The BF has always enjoyed his meals too. If youre planning on stopping in late-night, you might wanna call ahead and double check to see if they are still up and running. Hours are listed as closing late, but often times the crowd dwindles down and they will close a tad early. If you plan on staying for a beer (or three), theyll likely keep the doors open for you if you ask nicely. Just remember to tip accordingly

A gem. Ive been here a few times, now, and I always regret how long it takes me to come back. Most recently, we stopped in for dinner before a concert at Treasure Island. It was a Friday, so we had the Friday night all you can eat fish fry special and the Whiskey Burger. The fries are some of my favorite, and the fish and burger were also great. They were quick to bring us some more when we cleaned our plates. A great environment in an old mill building right on the river - get to the patio if you can! They are across the street from a local winery, and source wines from them. My favorite part: the one bartender is always there, and hes really puts the place at the 5-star level. Attentive, funny and polite. Cant wait to come back!

We were visiting the Winery in Cannon Falls yesterday. Mill Street Tavern is just across the road. It looked a bit trendy and promising. Service was OK. We sat on the deck, which could use a good cleaning of spider webs and dead insects. My partner ordered the Salmon sandwich with chips. Bland and unexciting. She also had a glass of Cannon River Winery wine. Seemed overpriced due to the fact that the place is right across the street. I had the Buffalo wings. Wings were horrible. Sauce was ok but the wings were extremely soft and mushy. I assume they were wings prepared crock-pot style. Although the meat was tender, they were full of fat. This restaurant was well below expectations.

Service was horrible, waited forever to put our order in first two meal arrived 5 minutes apart THEN the appetizer showed up. The 4th meal never arrived at all until the others were almost done eating and the waitress stated "oh, I might have forgotten to put that one in" drink glasses remained empty most of the time Place was crawling with flies too nice looking with decent food place but I would not recommend to friends if it is busy at all as they four people waiting on half a restaurant and it was a car wreck

Nice looking inside and clean. Nachos were awful, 4 black beans on the whole plate and the shredded cheese wasnt even melted. My entree spinach salad was small and just sad looking. The dressing was fairly good. Service was fine, but our server never smiled or even seem to care. I had to ask what the soup of the day was and we were never told the lunch special. This place seems like a great location and could have a more unique menu, but it was just non-descript bar food.

Had dinner here when staying in Cannon Falls for the night. Had the Caribbean Jerk wings for an app and they were OK. We asked the server to surprise us with a dinner choice after giving him 5 options. He choose the Salmon Tacos and they were fabulous with a side of onion rings. The onion rings were just how I like them with a very crispy batter, the best Ive had in a long time. Good beer selection, nice and small atmosphere and our service was outstanding.

Atmosphere was very nice with old tin ceiling and brick wall. But that is where it ends. It was very loud with the bar half full. The food was sub-par. The nachos were below avarage. I had the teriyaki chicken sandwich, very bland and dry. I ended up putting ranch dressing on it from my wifes chicken strips. And her strips were over breaded but OK. You did get alot of them for your money however. Not so sure I would visit again.

We have eaten here many times and the food is always good. The issues are, they dont allow you to move tables around. This is not very friendly Imo since we had a surprise birthday party with a dozen or more guests. I would have thought they would have accommodated us better. The acoustics also very bad, extremely loud everything we are in here.

The food was delicious! I enjoyed the half rack of rib special and they were easily some of the best ribs I have ever had! The staff was friendly and made you feel welcome. The setting is casual and comfortable. A must visit if in the area or wanting to take a road trip. We will be back!

Very good atmosphere. Food was great, I normally dont like french fries however I thought these fries were excellen. There is very limited seating for a big family or bigger parties. A kids menu would be nice. The prices are higher than expected, but the food was well worth it.

We absolutely love this place. After our first visit my husband said "this place is going to get a lot of our money". The food is delicious, the prices are great, and the service is wonderful. The interior is cool looking with the exposed brick wall and always clean.

Our food was good, but the service was less than desirable. Three of five people at our table of six ordered "all you can eat fish". Our server never offered anyone more fish. In addition, public WiFi was advertised but the manager refused to give us the password.

Nice place, food was good, service was good. This is apparently a very popular restaurant, very busy and noisy. The deck looked nice but there wasnt an open table when we looked. Good place to eat but not if youre looking for a quiet intimate dinner.
