Sunday, July 12, 2015 @ 9:30 am. Arrived, asked for a table for 4 and we were seated with menus by the hostess. There were several open tables and surely not extremely busy. We looked over the breakfast menu while or neighboring table received their breakfast. After approximately 8 minutes, we were all ready to order, but no waitress. After an additional 7 minutes, watching other guests being seated and receiving waters/coffee, I went to the hostess stand. Asked her if we would be able to see a waitress as we had been there for 15 minutes. She rolled her eyes and I returned to our table. Our neighboring table was done with their breakfast by now, we waited an additional 5 minutes, still no waitress with waters/coffee, so we walked out and went down the street and had breakfast at Maxines. Never again!

Ive tried to like Norske Nook several times but just cant. My son and I went there on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago. We had the extended pleasure of "waiting to be seated" while the staff discussed their crappy weekend and stood by the line waiting for food to come up before ignoring us some more. No one wanted to be at work, that much was obvious. The food was slow coming but my son liked his cinnamon roll french toast. My sandwich was very salty. The food was hot except the fries. We ordered the famous pies, which, if you like cool whip by the container full, youll enjoy. Even Culvers blows this place out of the water.

Our server treated us like we were an inconvenience (in multiple ways) to her, for asking questions such as, "Which pie do you most recommend?" To which she laughed in a scoffing way and replied, "I dont know," and gave no input. A polite, respectful, paying customer shouldnt have to feel like a bother to a server. As a side note: the ranch tasted mostly like Miracle Whip and the rest of the food was mediocre, at best. Extremely slow service. We were there for almost 1.5 hours ... Severely disappointed and will NOT give our business to this restaurant again.

Went in today and while the place was not full, took 15 minutes to order and 30 minutes to get our food. Ordered potato pancakes and we could not distinguish between my husbands hashbowns and my pancakes, no batter. Mostly overcooked (crisp and dark brown)and as thin as paper. The regular pancake we ordered seemed to be reheated---rubbery, cold in the middle and could not be cut with the fork. My husbands omelette was under cooked and slimy. Disappointing as we have eaten here before (same order) and at other locations.

I ordered a bowl of soup and the soup spoon was pointing upward inside the bowl when it was placed on the table. It seemed odd but I took the first bite of soup and the spoon had a big glob of old peanut butter stuck real hard to it. I dont know what or who thought that this was a great joke but I didnt think it was funny at all. I will never eat there again and absolutely do not recommend anyone ever going there.

Got there at 1pm on a Tuesday after lunch rush. Not many people but we waited over an hour AFTER we had ordered (which was not a fast process) and still no food. 4 tables that ordered after us got their orders. Manager said wait, will address YOUR problem as she took another couple to go seat first. Seriously? Would you not apologize and assist a. Existing customer first? Poorly managed Sad excuse for a restaurant.

Delicious pies and good food. The cranberry turkey and swiss melt is my go-to, though I usually ask for cheddar instead of swiss and side of lingonberry sauce for dipping. The homemade corned beef hash is good but the portion is a little small. Meatballs and pot roast are delicious. Pies are amazing -- our favorites are the apple lingonberry, the peanut butter, the harvest apple, and the mint.

I love the Pie! The food is good too, but I am always surprised when I receive my food, not always what I am expecting, but usually good! Great sit down restaurant that I enjoy on my days off when working at the local Boy Scout camp! And the times Ive been there, it is usually pretty empty, so you probably shouldnt worry about noise, crowding, or waiting for a table.

I personally love going to Norske Nook especially for the rueben but the past 4 times we have went service has been the absolute worst I even emailed the company about it since no one would respond back to my calls and still no response. Im very disappointed in the service within the last year it seems that it has went downhill and continues to.

The service was spectacular and so was the food. I had the country fried steak and some lingonberry topping on a pancake. For dessert (dont skip this here) I had peach raspberry crunch pie. Wow! Best pie Ive ever had. Before this Achatz pie in Michigan was my favorite. This is my new champion. Im bringing home a whole cherry crunch pie.

Im only an occasional visitor to the area, but when Im around, I make a point to stop in to get the best corned beef hash Ive ever had. The recipe is entirely home made, and the service is friendly and fast. The menu features a number of Norwegian recipes, as youd guess from the name, but they have standard American fare as well.

We waited for 15 mins for someone to ask for our drinks then 10 mins before we got them then after we ordered it was 55 mins to get our food and all they told us was a group of 30 came in just after us so we served them and your next .Never be back the worst service ever and the food was served cold after it took a hour not good !!

Friendly, fast service. Excellent breakfast. HUGE pancakes, tasty omlette, provided sugar free syrup. Parents had quiche and fresh fruit, enjoyed it, except were suprised to find cheese sauce poured over the quiche. That wasnt mentioned in the menu, parents would have preferred it without the cheese sauce. Awesome baked goods.

Just swing by and get some pie and coffee on your road trip. Food is decent, Norwegian themed. Best pie ever. They have 50+ varieties. Never had a bad slice. Award winning pies, seriously like the best pies of all time. Cookies are great too. Osseo is the original and best, but same quality pies at all of them.

$4.29 for a piece of pie that 3 people can easily share. Sour cream rasin was great, candy pies my kids had didnt seem artificial (ie, not Cool-whip based). Cranberry wild rice bread looks good, but $12/loaf! Prices seemed at leat $2/item cheaper than the Perkins equivalent. Would go again.

I have been to this location many times and it has gone down hill in quality. My husbands pie(pecan) was maybe a 1/4" high and three bites at best. I literally saw the server using cool whip as the topping for " whipped topping " How is that homemade? Very overrated.
