My mom and I are traveling this weekend and searched for somewhere along 94 to stop and eat. We are so happy we stumbled upon Taverna! We seated ourselves right away with immediate instruction. Dane was our server, and I dont believe I have ever had better service. My mom explained she was gluten intolerant when looking over the menu. He explained what options/substitutions were available and he made specific suggestions on what beer she could consider and included a personal experience with other options. My mom was really happy to hear him be so considerate. Even though she is ntolerant and can technically have gluten, we made it as gluten free as possible. We even switched out the tortilla chips with the artichoke dip with corn chips from their nachos. He introduced us to the specials. We went with the special baked pasta. It was a delicious taste. Just slightly over baked. But the meatballs did not taste burnt. Dane also suggested a change to the Bloody Mary I had. He makes a really good refreshing Bloody. Its more smooth and enriched with fresh herbs instead of a premix. Tavernas knows exactly who to hire to represent their business. The food was tasty. He gave us enough time to chat, and was not interruptive. We did not feel rushed to get out of there. You could tell he enjoyed his time at our table! Overall, if I did not stuff my face tonight, and I wasnt from out of town, I would be a regular. Thank you for a great, welcoming experience!!

Today is August 28th. We came to eat here for the first time. It was around 7pm. We came in the door stood there for over 10 minutes because the (please wait to be seated) was turned sideways so we were not sure if we seat yourselves or wait. Two different waiters saw us and said nothing. Finally I just told my family to sit. After sitting for awhile someone finally came by and said hello and grabbed us some menus. We ordered the kids chicken finger, meatball sub, Italian beef, Cubano, lasagna and an order naked chicken wings. The chips were burnt and you could taste that they were burned. The chicken fingers were also burned over fried. My son tried to eat them and said they were gross. He spit his food out. So he didnt eat his meal. The bread for the Italian beef and Cubano was rock hard. We sat and waited for refills so long we were done eating by the time the waitress asked if we wanted refills. We had no napkins. As my whole family works in the restaurant industry we expect good for and good service. This restaurant was a huge let down. We paid for the meals and left. Needless to say this place was a waste of money and will not recommend this place to anyone.

This was a great little spot for lunch while we were in Eau Claire for business. We booked our table on OpenTable due to the fear that the lunch hour crowd wouldnt allow our table of 5 to get immediate seating. I dont know if it was just the cold day in winter or if this was typical, but the restaurant was not busy at all. They bring you fresh popcorn while your orders are being made. I tried the Caesar Wrap with the French fries. Their French fries were some of the best fries Ive had in recent memory. Prices are good overall too. Only complaint is that the tables and chairs were a uncomfortable.

My favorite place to go! Game days are a blast but every time Ive gone Im not disappointed! The menu has some of my favorites and constantly changes with amazing new options! Lauren is just a gem, the sweetest most reliable person there! All of the staff is great and super friendly but Lauren is my favorite! I highly recommend Taverna to anyone in the area, you wont be disappointed!

loved the atmosphere. went in for dinner on a saturday, seated myself. there werent many empty tables. nice dim lighting, taper candle in a wine bottle, i could hear the (mellow) music, but it wasnt blaring by any means. ordered the special. really enjoyed it. but not as much as i enjoyed the service! (and the very authentic tiramisu)

Taverna is a major disappointment. All the dishes looked sloppy and they were missing something. Overpriced drinks for the quality you receive. Taverna needs to work on the quality of product they serve to their customers. We didnt receive our drinks until our food arrived. The bartender looked stressed.

Food was good when we finally got it. Took forever to get our food and the place wasnt even busy. Asked where our food was and she said she would go see about it. Finally came back with it but it must have been sitting in the kitchen for a while because it was only warm, not hot. Would not eat here again.

We have eaten at Taverna several times and always receive great service and excellent food! Lauren has done a wonderful job serving us and is very attentive to our needs. Looking forward to eating there again soon. Love their Friday night fish and their flat breads!

Food was wonderful. Wait time was terrible. We called ahead and gave them over an hours notice that we would be coming in with 30 people. They should have told us they could not handle a group that large. Instead our visit was fairly unpleasant. Rude management

Food, drinks, and staff (especially Lauren and Jessie) are all great! When I was in the area, I would go for the fish fry practically every Friday. And Id come for the nachos any other day! Its also a very fun place to go for game day.
