We held a semi-private event at the Bardot establishment last week, and had an amazing experience. Reserving the tables for our event was easy process, and choosing the appetizers for our guests was also smooth because the owner really helped us figure out what would work best for our guests. He was right, we had zero complaints. Honestly, everyone loved the food, especially the bacon covered dates! Drinks were delicious and beautifully crafted. Great for snapchat ;) The atmosphere of Bardot, is very versatile and unique. Ive been there before on the weekends for a drink, and it is nothing like anything else downtown in Iowa City. The floors never sticky, the music is always on point, its clean, and I dont run into any underage "hooligans." Its a great time for me and my colleagues, and Im happy to report that after my special event I will always recommend Bardot for a good, classy, tasty time!

Long story short I met one of the owners and thats what brought me here last night. After working a second shift I came in with a buddy he had to go and I stayed till one. Played it solo stayed out of trouble, had 2 drinks they were good, regular priced mojito and some summer vodka concoction. I forget the bartenders name but the gal checked on me regularly, not too frequently, just right. I really liked the atmosphere of the building itself, but also of the people that came in, not too crazy, but just a touch. Its inevitable you know. They haver a pool table ! :) I recommend checking the place out

Good drinks! Very low quality crowd and poor music selection. Drunk reckless crowds can always be found here. Glass cups were broken on the floor with no sense of urgency to clean these safety hazards! No ID required. UNDERAGE DRINKING CENTRAL!! Beware

Service is sub par compared to other bars in the neighborhood. The restaurant tries to differentiate itself by appealing to a "higher class" group of individuals but produces low quality drinks. Piña colada was extremly over iced and watered down.

Best place downtown for drink specials - any night! Staff and owner make sure you feel welcome every time youre there. Love to grab a bite to eat here on the weeknights, too! Fav spot for my friends and I every weekend to start and end our night.
