I went there to eat dinner last night. They had very little on the buffet and what was on it was either dry and hard from sitting out or it was soft and soggy from being overcooked. They usually have a variety of sushi and vegetable rolls but they had no vegetable rolls at all. The salad bar was dismal, they had iceberg lettuce and some tomato cucumber concoction and that was it. They had two bottles of dressing, one was Ranch and it was empty and the other was Italian and it was almost empty. Both bottles were purchased at the Dollar General down the street. We asked our waitress about it and she just laughed. When I went to checkout, they did not ask how my food was, (probably because they already knew). They just took my $50 and offered me a card that they would punch for each returning visit. I turned down the card because I will not be going back. $50 is alot of money to have food that bad......3 adults and 1 child, so for $12 a person, I should at least get decent food. Are they under new management or having money problems? Go to the Taste of Asia next door. You will pay about the same amount but you are guaranteed better food.

My mom works just up the road from Main Tin, has ordered food from there a few times and recommend it to me. Over the summer I was working across the river from South Charleston, in North Charleston, so I decided to order from Main Tin for lunch one day. I thought the prices were reasonable and I got a decent amount of food for what I paid. I think I got the lunch combination special that came with General Tsos chicken, pork fried rice, and soup. The chicken tasted wonderful; it was some of the best General Tsos Ive ever had. Ill be stopping by there again next time Im in South Charleston and in the mood for Chinese food.

Way overpriced. With my small family, it was $40 for cold food that has been sitting out too long, & the ice cream machine wasnt working, which is why we went there to begin with for the kids. It use to only be about $23 for our family of 4, which I could tolerate for that price. Very disappointed, and we wont be going back ever. China Gourmet in corridor G has much better food & prices. We spend about $25 there, and they have fresh sushi including baked rolls, and ice cream for the kids. Much better food selection, atmosphere, & price!

I didnt want to write this review at first, because I thought the food was fine and the service was great; but when we went to leave my husband saw a cockroach on the wall behind us. He then took our one year old daughter over to look at a fountain and came running back, saying he saw about a dozen tiny cockroaches crawling all over the fountain and it was TIME TO GO. My only concern is if we saw this many roaches outside of the kitchen, how many are IN the kitchen?

I ordered from Main Tin and the lady taking the orders did not get my address correctly. It was an hour and a half and she called me and was angry with me, because my phone was on the charger and I did not hear it. I gave the address right the first time. I asked if there was going to be a discount and she said, "no we are not doing that. " So I said, I wont be ordering from you ever again."

It was pretty standard chinese buffet food. Every dish was like most other buffet chinese places (which includes excellent green beans). The sushi had way to much rice. However the man at the front was exuberant and friendly. The waittresses were prompt. It was like $7 something not including the drink. I would probably eat here again, especially if in a hurry

All the food was cold on buffet and it was during dinner rush.. Very disappointed. Went and told the guy at the front and he said well not everything on the buffet is hot that next time I need to order from the menu. But the buffet is supposed to be hot! Not happy with them. Good taste just not fresh

I think their take out is excellent. They need to add more to the menu. I am from up north. Every chinese place has two sides to their menu. You are not getting the full experience. Their buffet is good when it is fresh. They need to turn over the food more. It becomes dry and unappealing.

I havent been for awhile, because the food hasnt been tasting as well as it used to. I decided to give it another try, again, the food was old, like it had been laying there for quite awhile. The only item that was good was the crab salad., and the drinks. Very dissappointed.:(

Bland buffet that had been sitting for a while. Hot and sour soup was thick and many dishes tasted and looked similar. You can easily find better food. Facility was also in poor repair with wrinkled stained carpets and loose fixtures in restrooms. Do not recommend.

Was greeted cheerfully and waitress was pleasant, but really cant say much about the food. Chicken was tuff and other pieces were mostly chicken fat. Crab rangoons were so leathery I couldnt eat them. Sorry, but would recomend or go back again.

I love the owner of the place, the staff is his family and they are awesome but the food needs a little work. Sometimes the noodles can be dried out and well that is a theme with a lot of their food. I hope to see the improve.

We eat at Main Tin often. The staff is friendly and efficient. The buffet is always excellent, and the items from the menu are even better. Hot and sour soup and the wonton soup are both excellent.

The food here use to be great, but now it is usually cold and disgusting unless you get there when it is busy. I do not recommend this place anymore and I use to be a big champion of the food there.

Went for buffet one night. First plate of food was cold. Taste was fairly good, may have caught the place at a bad time as it wasnt very populated. Not bad for buffet, staff was friendly as usual.

The Buffet is cold and poor service very expensive 45.00 for 4 people they would not let my nephew take his food home that we paid extra for and charged us for a buffet that he did not eat

The lunch buffet is inexpensive and there is a wide variety of food available, including a sushi bar. The waitresses were always sharp and attentive. A great deal.
