I had been curious to try Bramble House because when a new place opens on the island you quickly hear yay or nay, yet with Bramble House I hadnt heard anything. I knew it was a stretch for me and was expecting a treat. My friend and I both ordered only a single entree. I had a glass of wine. We both left hungry and feeling fleeced. Its simply not a one course place, that would have been fine, but the entrees were not balanced. I had the duck and it was overwhelmingly protien, and thats from somebody whos happy to eat paleo. The duck was served with two baby carrots and a table spoon of a purée. It was nicely cooked and tasty, but half way through I desperately wanted something other than duck on my plate. This would have all been fine, but to top of a bad meal, our server whos 18% gratuity was included in the pricing simply brought us our payment receipts and walked away! No, thank you for coming in, have a good night, not a thing. I was floored. Dont feel I need to dine here again.

We came to know about Bramble House through a winery on the island where we did some tasting. And was it a great recommendation! We came here for brunch and were able to get a table immediately next to a sunny window. The first thing that caught our eye were the miniature salt and pepper shakers and the miniature vase with a bunch of little fresh flowers. Really cute! We ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and the bacon with a poached egg, toast and some orange marmalade. Both were very yummy. The freshly pressed orange juice and the Perry from Nashi Cidery went great with the food and were very refreshing. The brunch menu was limited, but everything on it looked tempting. One thing to note is that all the tables were mostly for 2 - 4 people, so not sure if they can accommodate large groups. Loved our experience here and would come back again.

My wife and I recently had a great meal at Bramble House. Small place so make reservations. Tables are in the two front rooms plus an alcove of an old house the owner remodeled into the restaurant. Also has four bar seats looking into the kitchen. Intimate but fun and comfortable atmosphere. We had the cucumber soup/crab salad, beets with mozzarella, duck, and risotto with prawns. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Creative and tasty dishes. The staff and service were top notch. Prices were quite reasonable for a restaurant of this quality. If you dont mind waiting for the ferry late at night, a day trip to Vashon Island capped by dinner (or weekend brunch) at Bramble House is a wonderful way to spend your time.

The Good: food and space. The Bad: Only wines by glass. No cellar or bottles The Ugly: Not good service. First the wine list only consistded of a couple whites and a couple reds. Picture attached. No wines cellar or by bottle only list. Why? Second the waiter was forgetful and slow (he said he just started), I guess they were understaffed and we got the short end of the stick. It was hard to get recommendations on menu he just read what was on the menu for each item?! Things took an abnormal amount of time. We really wanted to enjoy everything here. Very nice space but there are somethings that need to be addressed.

Had a fantastic evening with dear friends from Vashon at Bramble House. The food was spectacular, the service was exceptional and the ambiance was perfect. I had the mozzarella appetizer garnished with beets, the entree I selected was the scallops which were prepared to pefection. All the ingredients were fresh and packed with flavor. Cesar was an exceptional host who just added to the enjoyable evening. I highly recommend Bramble House and will be talking about my experience for weeks to come.

I have had the honor of participating in 4 dinners with Lia and they have all been amazing. The first was a 7 course wine parted Italian themed dinner at Bill ans Sues on Vashon. The second was the feast of 7 fishes a traditional Christmas eve event at the Sugar Shack on Vashon. But the best 2 were at the newly opened Bramble House restaurant just north of downtown Vashon. All the dishes are amazing creations and all are wonderful. Do yourself a favor and enjoy an amazing meal with Lia!

Good experience but could have been better. Creative ideas and flavors that work mostly. Overcooked pasta, but the Bolognese was good. Fantastic raviola with raw egg yolk inside. Very fresh salad. Fresh mozzarella that was too firm. Would I return, yes.

What a wonderful place! Chef Lia knocks it out of the park! Everything was perfectly cooked and masterfully presented. Sweet pea soup is one of the best things I have put in my mouth. And I love that she serves Hitachino Nest White Ale... great beer.

I had brunch. Everything about this place is perfect. Food was AMAZING. Decor was fantastic. Staff was excellent. Bramble House is my new favorite restaurant. I am beside myself with happiness. Go try it yourself and you will be too.

Amazing beautiful restaurant. Incredible food and service. Great music to set the mood. Good Ole Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday etc. Also the rosé brut I had was brilliant! Will be going back and bringing many friends with me.

Lovely romantic or just a getaway type of atmosphere. Phenomenal food, helpful friendly staff. We went for brunch and enjoyed the fresh squeezed mimosas and the bramble scramble and the duck chilaquiles- all were super tasty.
