The burgers here are good. However i have only found one employee who will actually give customer service. Cynthia is amazing and i now call to see if she is working, as she is the only one who actually attempts to please the customer (and talks like a human being to me). So here is my complaint. In any food establishment i have ever gone they can make exceptions and if they have what i am asking for at their place i have never received an answer as stuck up and snooty as i do at 5 guys. They have peanut butter on the menu for shakes. Personally i LOVE peanut butter on my burger. Apparently "it is not the five guys way". They refuse to put it on my burger. They will give it to me on the side (i am accepting of this when it is to deal with cross contamination, but considering the peanut shells on the floor how can you claim cross contamination). They will charge me for it on the side (couldnt care less about the charge). They refuse to put it on the burger. Why? I guess because it is outside the box? If i could even get a decent answer i would be more accepting. But refusal to put a topping on my burger because your company is too good for it? Maybe you arent good enough....personally i have worked in many kitchens. If i have to take a burger apart to put a topping on it i would prefer to make the whole thing myself. It will not be a falling apart mess if it is made with all the toppings to begin with. Rather than half making me a burger. I mean 2 times this has been denied. Once i went with it (and learned how messy this becomes), the second time i walked out. You want to charge me for a topping that is a free mix in, and then you dont want to apply it? I mean come on, when the burger is open it is not that difficult....anyways if this company prefers to snob peanut butter i will not spend my money, which seems counterintuitive with them being a business and all, but perhaps they find it more fulfilling to make things their way and tell customers to beat it if they dont like it. Apparently, the only conclusion i can come to is that a swipe of peanut butter means more to this company than $20.57 plus tax and whatever they choose to charge for the peanut butter (lost both my boyfriend and i when we walked out). And actually double that because when we were going to go yesterday but i called and it was the moral over money crew so i didnt even bother. Sorry but i am paying you to make my life easier. If you choose to make it more difficult then i cannot justify spending my money at your establishment. And considering this is the first i have encountered this difficulty in 15 years of asking for peanut butter on my burger, something tells me this is not my problem. I have even brought peanut butter in to a place i knew didnt have it, and they took it in back and brought out a burger with it on it...5 guys has it but wont use it? This is not cake! I should be allowed to have my peanut butter burger and eat it too!

The general manager Jeff, apparently has no focus on customer satisfaction, or training his employees to make correct burgers, or answer phones, or give correct information. They are however, trained to never bother him when he is "in a meeting" and an unhappy customer is waiting. Their menu has only 3 items on it: burger, fries, and hot dogs. If your menu only consists of three items, its a really good idea to make the food correctly. And if you make a mistake, fix it. That means answering the phone when it rings, that means giving correct information, and that means dealing with customers in a polite manner. Jeff failed at all of these things. This area in Hazel Dell isnt exactly a food desert. There are many other options, with better managers, and lower prices. We will not be going back.

I really like Five Guys! Not only are they atop the list for equitable workplaces in the nation, they make GOOD FOOD. I mean, were not talking Michelin stars, of course, but they make a decent burger. I really like that I can customize the burger so fully without paying a ton extra to do it. I can get grilled mushrooms and jalapeños if I want them, no problem! Additionally, theyre super accommodating for paleo diets and allergies. My daughter is allergic to corn (in the buns) and they happily lettuce wrap the burger in an edible fashion- unlike many "lettuce wraps" weve experienced in this area... Pretty great!! The fries are also dee-lish! My husband eats no carbs, so I get them all to myself! Win.

With all the hype I read about voted best burger and fries I guess I was expecting greatness. The burger was OK but nothing to write home about...mine was actually on the dry side and I had to add more sauce. Im not a big fan of fries that leave the peel on. They had no choices of cheese, only American, and a big downer for me was no Ranch sauce for dipping. I personally think this should be a staple sauce in EVERY burger joint. As others pointed out the tables were very close together but on a positive note the kids loved being able to throw peanut shells onto the floor..I suppose its refreshing for them to actually get permission to make a huge mess, so they enjoyed their time there very much.

Its one of the great treasures Ive found in burgerdom. Its not the same as In-N-Out Burger which holds the top spot in my heart for a quick buger, but its not bad at all. I mean come on.. Theres a freaking song for Five Guys.. "Oh my goodness. Oh my dayum. Oh my goodness. They goin H.A.M.!" It tastes so great. The burgers, the fries, and even the hotdogs. If I would elaborate Id go into all of the juicy details. I mean come on....A-1 sauce! Plus grilled onions and mushrooms... Youve got a philly burger. Its downright amazing. Oh and now they have shakes that are one of a kind. Theyre also amazing. Go ahead get yourself that double cheeseburger playa.

As an In and Out Burger addict I compare every burger to them. I have to say minus the special sauce this burger was the closest I have come to and in and out experience in the Pacific Northwest. I didnt really care for the fries a bit to thick for my taste, the cheese could have been melted a bit more but over all pretty tasty burger. On a side note I did get extremely sick later that evening but cant say it was food poisoning from this restaurant. They do seem to employe a large number of hygiene challenged young men though so buyer beware.

They used to give you an extra scoop of fries with every large or small fry you bought and for $40 I went in today and bought three meals got three large fries and they put no extra fries in with my meal. It seems a little excessive to spend $40 for three french fries and three double cheeseburgers their food is okay but for $40 I will be going to Burgerville from now on.
