My boyfriend and I have come a couple times, and because we both worked at jobs dealing with customer service we are the kindest people to wait on. Were patient, thankful, kind, and would never be the ones to poorly rate a business unless they really deserve it. Always rude service, food takes at least an hour to get even when theres only one other table, and even after several attempts to come back for a good experience I have yet to have one. One day my boyfriend and I came and paid by leaving our cash on the table and walked out. They chased after us to the parking lot literally screaming and yelling at us claiming we never paid? Every server, hostess, and manager came chasing after us. We stopped as we were backing out of the parking lot because we knew we paid, and after waiting a couple minutes the server came out and waved us good to go. No apology, no nothing.

We literally just left after one of the most unsatisfying meals Ive ever had. We got there at 5pm, and werent served food until almost 6pm. We were sat immediately, they werent even very busy, 12, 13 tops maybe. We ordered a sake nigiri, a unagi nigiri, a crunchy Cali roll, and honey walnut shrimp. The nigiri was passable, the Cali roll was a pale grease bomb. Their fryer is obviously not hot enough. The honey walnut shrimp was absolutely horrible. It has a super thick, disgustingly sweet sauce on top. Normally, this is one of my favorite Chinese foods, and I couldnt eat even 2 shrimp. When the waiter came back to check on us, we let him know we didnt like it and his response was "well, thats how it comes, many people love it". No offer for any replacement meal, no comp. We will not be returning. A very disappointing first experience.

It is a beautiful restaurant with great decor - but thats about it!. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and entrees. Our appetizers took about 20 minutes to arrive along with a bottle of sake with just one cup ( it would take another 10 minutes before we the waitress came back with another). It took an hour to get three entrees (which arrived at different times), and one person never did get theirs. This was blamed on the staff cleaning the stove hoods (...dont they do that at night?). Last of all and most upsetting is the morning after dining at the Eastland my husband began suffering from food poisoning - or possibly some of the chemicals from cleaning the hoods got into his food. In any case beware!

Extremely disappointed. Went for my sons birthday. Ordered a dish (mango chicken) that was so bland. Everyone at the table said so. Told the server and he said "you daid it was good before now you say its not". I never said it was good. Didnt eat but 4 bites, spread between 3 people. Combine that with a steak that was mostly fat and we were told "thats how people eat steak in japan". When I told the girl cashing me out what had happened, just so shed know, server walked up and said "she can do nothing. You want me to get manager?, i said no and just left. I just wanted her to know what happened. Steak that was 70% fat and extremely bland chicken...we wont be back..$107 terribly spent.

This place was recommended to us by some friends...Its definitely not a bad sushi place by any means! But it isnt astounding, either. Its just too big for me, and their selection is neither stellar nor sustainable. It bums we out when I get conveyor belt sushi at a table-service price. The kids love the koi pond, here, though, which is a huge plus. The service, however is excellent. Super fast, friendly, and welcoming. Warm, and attentive, the waitstaff almost makes up for the chefs lack of ingenuity and their buyers lack of a Seafood Watch Guide ( I have an extra if you want it!). Almost. We go here occasionally, if were nearby and desperate for some raw fish & rice!

This place was awful. My wife is still getting sick, but wont go to the emergency room. Trust me, their "cold-smoked" salmon is more like salmonella. Never going back. The waitstaff was decent, but the manager (eventually admitted she was the owner) would not give me her name, so I cant be more specific. She IS a waste of perfectly good air. The prices in the menu are often wrong, but they have a small print disclaimer at the bottom of the front cover that says they can change prices without notice. Go to any sushi-go-round for better sushi and any Chinese restaurant for better "fine" Asian cuisine. We are extraordinarily unsatisfied and disgusted.

Man I love this place! The food is always fresh and tastes great! This particular visit I was having some family who had never gone before and they loved the atmosphere and the waitstaff. Always so friendly and fast! We made a reservation and they had everything layed out perfectly for us when we got there and were quick to get things going. They also didnt mind when we hung out for a while after our fopd was done and kept tending to our drinks the entire time. If you havent been, this is the best Chinese/Japanese ive found so far in Vancouver!

This place is not clean, literally the chunks of food was laying under table. The service is not what it should be, not friendly, not welcoming, no one asked us if we liked the food, and no one cares if you wont come back as long as this place gets your money today, thats all they care. We waited about one hour before the food made it to the table. The food was not good at all, sushi not fresh and tasted worth then store bought. The other dishes we ordered were so so No one from us really enjoyed the food or experience.

Service is alright, food is spot-on. Excellent sushi. We had the miso and egg flower soup, they both were amazing. The dinner box is an excellent meal. Fried pork, shrimp and vegetable tempura, California roll sushi, and dumplings were all perfectly battered or cooked! The walla walla sushi roll was a great appetizer. And the chicken rice bowl was fantastic, fresh, flavorful. Tea was served hot, and mild flavor. Coffee mochi was a nice palette clenser before the sake and peach schnapps. A delicious meal. We will return.

I ordered a Triple Delight Chinese dish (scallop, shrimp, chicken, fresh vegetable...) and I really licked the dish!!!. Loved it. My wife ordered a spider (soft shell crab) dish. Mine came with steam rice (or fried rice if you choose) and a cup of hot and sour soup (spicy but so good to eat in in the cold and rainy day). Hers came with a big crab and shredded cabbage-- very good!! We came back later for different Chinese dishes: all were good. Anyway, good food and service. Try them yourself.

the sushi is seriously the best sushi ive ever had. ive been to other places and on vacation, but to me this is just the best. the menu is pretty big and I frequently get Cantonese as well. my only flaw is when ive sat in the dinning room ive gotten bad service from time to time. they dont take me serious because im a younger guy and dont think ill tip well. so to avoid the waiters I just sit at the sushi bar. my order comes quicker and the guys are great to me. go, just sit at the bar.
