Had a good time at the Boathouse 19 today. I didnt let the inexperienced wait staff get in the way of that. Our first waiter couldnt handle more than one order at a time and managed to get mine wrong even at that by bringing a second beer out to me after already having done so. We were told it would be 20 to 30 minutes before a table would be ready. That was fine. We would wait in the bar. It was much longer than that and we ended up having to use 2 tables which could not be put together. I ordered their Jambalaya and was asked if Id like garlic bread with that which I said I would as did another person at the table. The Jambalaya was really good though the portion was just slightly under adequate in size. The garlic bread was 6 1/4 slices of bread and was good. Things turned sour when we received our bills. Two bills at our table were incorrect with missing and added items in the bills. The garlic bread was added as a side at $6.50 which was a total surprise. Not just because I wasnt expecting it but also because of the amount charged for what amounted to 1 and a half slices of buttered bread, garlic, and spices. When it was suggested to the waitress that it would be advisable to let patrons know that adding garlic bread is an additional cost and just how much additional cost it would be her response and attitude, well lets just say they need to better train their staff. She lost her tip. The food and atmosphere was great but poorly trained staff and over priced add-ins will have me suggesting someplace else to dine next time. Would have rated Boathouse 19 a 4 except for its poor staffing and high prices. Their location helped this rating as well. They have a 5 star location which they should try to live up to.

The food was absolutely delicious! The service was prompt and polite! My mom, my cousin and I had lunch here to plan my cousins wedding. I ordered the Clam Linguini. It was a little on the light side (sauce was kind of watery, but still tasted great!) and was starving so I ordered a burger/fries and a brownie dessert. The burger was perfectly cooked, toppings were fresh, and overall a tasty, juicy burger. The fries were crisp and hot. The brownie dessert was a huge square of brownie about an inch thick, cut diagonally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle, drizzled with hot fudge, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top! So good I ate the whole thing to myself after eating the linguini and burger/fries! The waitress was very attentive and patient (with all my ordering and craziness) and we topped her well (she deserved it!). We ate outside, which was a dock-type landing looking out at the Puget Sound. The view was gorgeous and the weather was nice, so thats always a good thing! Our table had a sun umbrella and the chairs were comfortable. I saw another table that sat more people and had a burning fire in the middle of the table! Soft music played while we ate, though Im pretty sure I saw signs for more rowdy atmospheres on certain nights. We have all been telling people about this place since we discovered it and would eat there again in a heartbeat!

Went to boat house today and I dont think I was "wow" enough to come back. I loved the scenery of the restaurant location (train tracks, ocean, boats and the bridge). The food was okay (wild caught salmon- okay/cooked well...chocolate shake-real good but I only got 70% shake and rest whip cream..pickle jar- good...California burger - okay and ban split - very good. My waiter wasnt the best, I saw a girl serving a guy next to me and she was all smiles and ask him if he needed more napkins and if everything was good. My waiter never smiled once nor came back unless needed too. He order, brought food and brought the bill back...not even my change came back. I saw many of the staff take turns taking thier break in one of the booths near me and one was drinking alchole. All the staff were really young and needs more training. Alot of time they group together and gossip...I would gave a lower rank but ban-spilt and scenery were the best part. But not returning my money (waited 10-15 mins) would of been making it a 1 star. Hope my review help some people who reads this!

While I normally love going to Boathouse 19 last night was very disappointing. We decided to sit on the deck but found half of the heaters were not working because "its the end of the season". We were able to move to the fire pit table but then waited too long for our drink order to be taken. Then another long wait for our food to arrive which was only warm. Salmon overcooked, potatoes with too much seasoning (perhaps horseradish) and spinach with no seasoning that tasted like frozen straight out of the box. Our waitress never returned either to see how our food was or to see if we wanted more drinks. After eating the salmon and a few bites of the potatoes we got up and went to the bar to pay. Then our waitress finally came quickly over to take out money. Never ask how our food was and never thanked us for coming. A $70 meal I could have made myself for a quarter the price and it would have been hot and had good flavor. Worst dining experience in decades!

What a truly awful experience!! Just the facts: waited 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge our existence; waited additional 20 minutes for our drinks (water and soda); after placing our orders 30 minutes into our dining "experience", we didnt see our waiter for about another 40 minutes. No water refills. No updates on our food order. Nothing. 2 hours after arriving at this place some of our food came, dried out and unpleasant. After waiting another 15 minutes, I brought to their attention that part of our family didnt receive their food. They apologized and said theyd let the manager know. Believe it or not, the manager failed to show and I asked for our bill after displaying my disappointment in their service. They said theyd pick up some of the bill... They took off the kids drinks... Yep! They suck. Terrible establishment.

Located on the water, this is a pretty place to eat. The menu has a pretty good selection and there is a full bar. One can find burgers, salads, seafood selections, and specials- plated meals like meatloaf, steak, etc. There is a good kids menu and children receive a menu/activities to color and some crayons. There are high chairs, slings and boosters for families along with both tables and booths. Get a table by the windows for the most light; the rest of the restaurant can feel dark on cloudy days. In the summer, grab a seat outside! There is limited parking near the door, the rest of the parking can be found next to the brewery next door, making it a bit of a walk. Also, there is an active train track that one must cross to enter the parking lot (and leave) so dont be surprised if you have to wait for it to pass.
