My wife and I stopped by one early afternoon for a late lunch. The place was nearly empty, with the exception of a couple dining in the corner by the window. We were shown to a table, given menus, and then the waitress disappeared. We sat there for twenty minutes watching her mull about, intermittently tending to the guests in the corner. A third couple then entered, were shown to a table and given menus by the same waitress. She promptly took their orders for drinks and disappeared to the back. A few minutes later the waitress brought out the patrons drinks, and took their orders for food. I tried to flag her down, but to no avail. She walked right past us, not even looking our way. I thought to myself, "Is she a racist or something?" My wife is Asian, and believe it or not, this happens sometimes. After roughly thirty minutes of being ignored, we decided to dine elsewhere. I have since not returned to this location, and doubt I ever will, which is disappointing since we live nearby and frequently eat out.

I love this place! Great neighborhood spot with a casual but upscale feel. I was super impressed by service here, which i feel when bad can make good tasting food not a good experience. Hills is stellar with service and the food is tasty. My one complaint is they have no vegetarian entrees. You can combine starters with salads to create your own vegetarian meal but its not the same, and options are limited. The fish and chips were delicious and my boyfriend liked the special chicken parmesan. Cant beat half price wine night on Mondays! The cocktails and desserts also look amazing and I will be trying those next time!

Our family eats at Hills at least twice monthly. When we have out of town guests, Hills is one of our "must take the guests here" spots. The staff is friendly, the service is great, the food is top notch and the value is excellent. When our daughter was 1, she had her first seafood there: the fabulous seafood chowder...which to me is elegant, much like a bisque. We live in Richmond Beach and walk to Hills. We consider ourselves so fortunate to live in a lovely community with a neighborhood eatery that many consider...and rightly so...a destination bistro.

This establishment did not only have amazing calamari and Vietnamese steak skewers, but they also had my old friend Jordan greeting us at the front door. He took good care of us and provided excellent service to me and my significant other at our table. He even found a little time to catch up over the passed years. Aside from that, the place had a very nice atmosphere. We noticed there is a special menu for Tuesdays and we are probably going to return frequently. Thank you so much for the great service Jordan and hills restaurant. I cant wait to return.

Cozy, family like feel. Weekend brunch is the best. They make beignets from scratch just like from New Orleans with powdered sugar all over the top. They make fantastic drinks and the food is fresh local fair and the menu changes constantly because of that. They make fresh homemade cobblers and pies from scratch on a daily basis that are to die for! Its a little bit off the beaten path, kind of behind a building off the main road (I actually thought it was a furniture store for the first couple of years after I moved to the area

This lower Richmond Beach (Shoreline) bistro is a wonderful neighborhood spot to meet for brunch, lunch, happy hour, or dinner. The menu is limited but ever changing with the season. A bit over price for what you get but the ambiance makes you forget that. You never feel hurried even close to closing time. There is a deck in the parking lot thats nice to sit on in warmer weather.

Hills Restaurant is a very clean and chill place to enjoy a delicious meal and a great drink. This place has great service and has a very modern feel to it. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great mid-day dining experience. The food is delicious and service is great. Definitely worth a regular visit when in the area.

Great tucked away local gem. Nice place with a casual dress code and a wide variety of dishes. I should clarify that a bit though. Theres even are not a lot of choices but it does run from high end steak and fish dishes to fish tacos and salads. Make a reservation for sure. Great staff as well.

My wife and I have dined there a few times and the attention to detail is excellent. The food is very well prepaired and the presentation is very well done. Simple menu and executed perfectly! I was in the hospitality industry for many years. This is what dining out is all about.

My neighbor recommended this place to my wife and Im happy he did. Outstanding food for a very modest price. I loved their seafood chowder and fish and chips on our first visit. We will be back and look forward to trying more dishes in our new neighborhood!

I had a great dinner tonight... i didnt go large with an entree, instead I had a very nice cup of seafood chowder, crispy fried calamari, and a shrimp caesar salad. Perfect for a late dinner, with great service out on the patio. Im sure Ill go back again.

Everything about this place is fantastic: the staff, the food, the desserts...oh boy the desserts. My favorite lunch is the wild mushroom quesadilla. Their signature dessert is the berry cobbler - the most amazing Ive ever had. Enjoy the sun on their deck.

We have been here a number of times given that it is within walking distance from our house. Every time we have come the service has been incredible, the food has been outstanding and this has an atmosphere of a neighborhood bistro.

They do it all here, no fuss fish tacos or high end Italian dishes. You cannot go wrong with your order . For being so high quality, I would expect to pay $5 more a plate. Great friendly and flexible staff who go out of their way.

Everything Ive had here has been amazing. 3 course meals on Tuesdays is a great deal. The only restaurant on the planet where I never go a meal without getting a starter soup. The chowder is flat out incredible.
