HORRIBLE - I will never go back. I went once for breakfast and sat at the bar. When I received my food, I took a few bites of my hashbrowns (after dousing them in the appropriate amount of tabasco) and noticed there was chunks of sausage in them. When I sent my plate back - because I am vegetarian and dont want meat in my food, I watched the cook scrape my plate of hashbrowns back onto the grill and mix in to be served to other customers. Despite this, we went back with friends several months later for dinner. My friends steak was over done, and when he sent it back, they brought him a new steak, but rather than bringing a new plate, they took the over cooked piece off his plate and put the new (very undercooked) piece on. My $21 plat of pasta was so overcooked, the pasta wouldnt even stay on a fork. This place is so overpriced for sub-par food and should probably be investigated for unsafe food handling.

My wife, friends and I have been going to St. Clouds for 7 years. Its odd to see an occasional bad review of the service, because we are always treated like stars by John and the staff. Makes me curious of the attitudes of the bad reviewers going in, and how they may have interacted with the staff. Our food has always been delicious and delivered promptly. The servers are ALWAYS friendly and recognize and greet us. Drinks are great and the prices are very reasonable for the high quality of the food. The fact that John helps feed the homeless through his monthly cooking-for-the-homeless program just makes us want to support him and his restaurant more.

Food is delicious. Staff are gregarious. Service is prompt and professional. Willing to let you sit on the front patio area with your dog. Very family friendly. First time I was here I had their salmon cakes, where were amazing. It was a brunch special so they dont always have it on the menu, but when they do you should definitely get them. Second time I had the hash, which was really good too. Only complaint is that they often run out of popular items on the weekends (especially whatever the special is). I recommend going earlier rather than later if you want to get a popular dish.

Ive been coming to St Clouds for a few years. We get consistently yummy food. Monday nights are especially fun because the band plays two sets. John, the owner is so gracious and welcoming, such a hard worker, too. The pork tenderloin at $23, scallops w/risotto at $26, painted hills steak (ribeye) was really good at $30. I thought the ribs were a little tough and the pasta was a little sweet for me. We had a scrumptious choc cake, too. St Clouds, we love you, the ambience, the food. Always look forward to it!

unpretentious spot in madrona. go for the happy hour and dinner on fridays and stay for the jazz music that starts at 8. the bartender makes some innovative drinks with seasonal ingredients; try one, you will not be disappointed. try the bruschetta or calamari for appetizers before moving onto dinner. they buy food from local businesses so they know where it comes from. parking is at a premium.

My girlfriends and I loved your restaurant! I hosted a girls-night- out glassybaby event...benefiting Camp Korey last night. We were so thankful your restaurant was still open and we could sit & relax, enjoy more good wine, fabulous appetizers and a salmon entree that was delicious! We decided this girls-night-out party will be an annual event.....want to partner with us next year??? Marlena

Came here on recommendation and sure are glad we did! The food was superb as were the drinks. I had the Curry Roasted Yam and Sweet Potato Saute on Chickpea Cakes and my girlfriend had the Herb Roasted Draper Valley Chicken both of which were mouth watering. The portions are large, which was great since we are traveling and they made for a tasty lunch the next day.

This is such a great place. Its so comfortable and cozy, and the food is very tasty -- fresh and local and seasonal. Especially good of late. Best item on the regular menu is the pork parmigiana. Great bar. Wait staff has worked here for years; its like a family. The restaurant contributes hugely to the community.

Great food, great service but when buddy can be a bit slower as one might expect. The specials are always great, which is why they run out fast. Thats really the only down side, along with now needing a reservation for Sunday brunch. If you plan to go after 9am on Sunday, you should call and reserve a table before.

Used to love it here and take friends/family from out of town but something had happened. Last three times have been a disappointment. Burned food, out of a lot of things, really long wait despite the half full place. Want to love it again but not sure well go back given the options in the vicinity.

Friendly staff and good food, but a little on the pricey side and may be upsetting if you arent a liberal. They have a sign outside stating some very liberal views and the waiter made some liberal remarks. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you are conservative you may not enjoy this place.

Very good place for breakfast. Friendly service, check the menu before going to be sure they have what you hope to eat (I was disappointed with the eggs Benedict, their recipe is very different from the traditional dish, but other people might find it interesting)

It had a very nice backyard, dog friendly (well behaved) patio. The staff is very attentive. The portions are actually quite large for what youd expect portions to be. I was able to split the scallop and risotto with another person and still was full. It was great

My husband and I went for brunch on a rainy Sunday. We got there at 11:30 and we were sat right away. Food was tasty and the portions were large. Coffee cake is by far the best!
