I came with a group of 6 friends on a wednesday night. We were looking for a place where some of us could eat, some of us could drink, and all of us could talk and hear each other (gosh I sound old!). After going to Trick dog for a rowdy three minutes, we thankfully found Asiento around the corner. The bartender was cute, there was live music playing at the perfect volume, there were board games you can use, and lots of clusters of friend groups like our own just having a great time. I had the tinga de pollo tostadas which were yum and only $8. Friends had the beet salad, albondigas, and patatas bravas. We all had cocktails which were unique and flavorful. My only ish is that they dont have straws. I know its SF and we all should be green conscious, but sometimes a girl likes a straw in her drink. Solution? The bartender handed me a piece of red licorice to use as a makeshift straw. haha. creative, but not the same, and totally changed the taste of my beverage. I would totally go back though, straws or no straws!

I love this place, especially after climbing. Walking distance from Mission cliffs, and a super friendly staff. I should say right away that they have board games. This is such a cozy, relaxed place. They have tons of great veggie options. Great dishes to split with friends. The margaritas are also delicious. I love the aesthetic. No TVs (that I noticed), which is also a good sign. Not too crazy loud or crowded. They only take cash or debit card (fyi). Highly recommended.

We really love going to Asiento for a bite, a great drink and a lovely atmosphere. I am thankful to have this business in the neighborhood and weve always really enjoyed the experience. FWIW, several others mentioned being upset by the no hat policy - In my experience, many bars do not allow sports hats. My husband has been asked to remove his hat every time weve gone in and now he knows to leave it at home. See you again soon, Asiento!

*I favourite bar in the whole of San Francisco.* Yes, I put a "u" in favourite as I am a Brit who stayed in this area for a while. The owner, Debbie, is wonderful and the staff will all make you feel welcome. Everything from well priced drinks to tasty tapas on a Tuesday and board games on Sunday afternoon. The music is also great too, creating an incredibly friendly and fun atmosphere on the weekend.

I love asiento for many reasons. I like that they have actual seating. I like food and their menu is great. Their non alcoholic drinks are still creative and yummy. The only things Id like different are straws (paper ones would be green and not change the flavor of the drink like licorice) and sometimes the music isnt quite loud enough. The bartenders and servers are friendly and always moving.

Asiento is sure to bring a good time for all. Debbie (owner) pours her heart into the local watering hole and it shows! Excellent cocktails and rotating tap with an artisan menu to feed any appetite. Friendly bartenders and nightly events (live music included) make for an incredible atmosphere. You are a stranger only one time at Asiento. Dont believe it; Go see for yourself!

I ended up here at the end of a drunken night out with the girls. We were able to just buy bottles of wine and literally pour ourselves glasses while we sat on little boxes on the floor. That doesnt sound good but it was very charming. There was also a dj playing some music so we got in some dancing. It wasnt the ideal spot for a dance floor but we made the most of it.

Ive become somewhat of a night owl over this summer (maybe its my circadian rhythm...or maybe its becoming unemployed, who knows!), so when I went to look up a cool casual bar/lounge that served food on a Saturday night, Asiento popped up. Lo and behold, we pulled up and I was like "Hey, I remember when it was Cosmos (I think that was the name) years ago."

Just celebrated the wifes birthday at this place. Fantastic drinks, amazing owner (a burner). Great place to throw a bday since they allow you to bring your own music if you book in advance + the birthday girl gets her own "signature drink"! Fun times. Parking around the bar is horrible. Would also recommend getting dinner before at Blowfish or Flour+Water.

我们真的很喜欢去Asiento吃一口,一杯很好的饮料和可爱的气氛。我很感谢在附近有这个业务,我们一直很喜欢的经验。 FWIW,其他几个人提到的是...

They have some awesome tapas to choose from! I dont think you can go wrong with any of their seafood options. They have a selection of about 10 artisan cocktails. Some of which are better than others but, if you have an open mind and an open palate, you wont regret whatever you decide.

A hidden little gem in the East Mission. A great place to start the night. Small plates are excellent and well-priced. There are a few beers on tap and great speciality cocktails. Excellent bloody mary. Any bar with board games gets extra points.

Bite the bullet and buy the $$$ dinner tickets. This is one of the most fun meals Ive had in the city. Hyped for a long time, and it was the perfect birthday treat. Be prepared to eat for about 3 hours and have your mind repeatedly

Love this little joint. Service was great, plenty of seating as youd expect and food is decent. They have deals ($2 tacos on Tuesdays and $6 cocktails if you check in on Yelp) and overall a great atmosphere to hang out and chill.

Its a cool little bar with delicious tapas and interesting drinks. A fun vibe, too. The only problem I have is they only accept cash or ATM cards, no credit cards, which seems odd in this day and age. But it isnt a huge negative.

Chill neighborhood bar. Good blend of laid back and fun. They have different drink specials and food specials throughout the week. Great place to stop on the way home or hangout with friends.

Great cocktails and ambiance. They play house music at low volume, giving it a fun vibe without disturbing conversation. Owner is present most nights and loves to get to know repeat customers

Love this bar and the music. I was desperate to find a bar with a big crowd on Sunday night, but this place was such a surprise to me. Lots of people and live music was good as well.

Awesome neighborhood bar. They have excellent menu and drinks. They also offer some trivia nights. They dont take credit cards, only cash and debit cards, which is a bit annoying.

Live music the night I was here, and quick service. The tap selection is quite small, though what they have is good. The spinach balls were great; spring rolls were bland at best.

It feels as cozy as my living room, but with better food & drinks. The owner is very accomodating to the neighborhood, often hosting birthdays and other special occassion events.

Slightly less crowded (but often still crowded) bar down the street from Trick Dog with nice people and decent small plates too. Ive seen live music there too

I had the basil lemonade, tasted like a mojito. Reasonably priced, decent drinks. Beautiful space with unique pieces of art on the walls. Relaxed vibe.

Great tapas bar. I really like their cocktails and the limited beer selection is high quality. The food is impressively good as well.

We went for one of the trivia night, and it was much fun. The cocktails were really good too, I suggest the apple and cinnamon one :)
