05/06/2015 Im an international student and the cafe is so good and good music but the stocky weman , long black hair who made my mocha impressed me so bad by shout loud saying "You dont allowed to eat here if You want to eat go out" I was eating sandwich from subway I wasnt knowing is forbidden tho!. I ordered M mocha and I gave them tip each time I came but I will never go to this cafe because of the woman even if she was smiling when she said to me you dont allowed to eat here if u want to eat go out. They should but sign that shows food from out side is not allowed so everyone will know at least she should say you can eat this time but next time you shouldnt because is not allowed! Im so made because of her. And I want to tell her thanks for made my day sucks! Im sorry if I couldnt explain very well because I study English :( The cafe so good but make sure dont bring food from outside

One of my favorite coffee shops to meet a friend to catch up, work on projects, or relax and read. Great music, menu, and warm yet efficient service. Worth noting that their bathrooms dont require a key, are gender neutral, and I dont think Ive ever had to wait. All three are of note to me as a shy gender indeterminate person with a tiny bladder! I like to stop in between bus/train transfers because its two blocks from the station and #8 line. Good espresso, great salads and pastries, biscuits and gravy. Havent tried other menu items like soup, sandwiches, omelettes, but all look good from afar. My favorite is half a kale Caesar...full size is MASSIVE. Thanks for being my safe place to pee and hydrate, Cafe Solstice!

The atmosphere and the staff are awesome. I went here to sit down and get some work done, and their internet is fantastic. The overall vibe of Solstice is awesome whether youre hanging out with friends or working for a couple of hours. The other really appealing thing about here is that they also serve food in addition to their coffee beverages, so you wont have to go somewhere else if youre working for a while to get something to eat.

Go here for the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon. Its unlike anything else. Minus one star for inconsistent willingness to allow phoned in takeout orders. They described having been burned too many times by people not picking up orders and people taking too long to pick up orders. Understandable, but its hard to believe that is a bigger problem at Solstice than the rest of the industry, where phone orders are widely accepted.

Nestled in a beautiful Capitol Hill neighborhood adorned with trees and plenty of sun, this coffee shop provides a great atmosphere and unique experience. Friendly staff, great food (especially during brunch or Happy Hour), good coffee and some of the best music is what makes this coffee shop/cafe special. I love the vibe this place has to offer and its roomy as hell! Their superb customer service keeps me coming back for more!

This place is like a triple threat. It is good going (coffee on the way to work), it is good coming (beer on the way home), and it is good food (because you should eat). You can sit alone, you can sit with a stranger, you can sit outside. Wherever you land, be kind and rewind (clean up after yourself).

I can never order another syrupy, overly-sweet mocha from Starbucks again. I am totally hooked on Solstice after my first try. Made with cocoa powder, from scratch, on the spot, what an absolute delight. I could still taste the coffee underneath the cocoa and almond milk swirled in a heart on top...

This place is awesome for studying/working for a long time. Plenty of tables where you can plug in to charge your laptop. Very bright. Excellent selection of food and drinks. Cool music playing, but it can be too loud at times. Bring your noise cancelling headphones just in case.

best coffee in Seattle. Yep, I just said that. Ive been all over and there is great coffee everywhere on capitol hill, but Cafe Solstice is my favorite. Great food, and really good beer selection. Oh yeah, I also like the decor and vibe of the place, correctly labeled "chill".

Truly great food, espresso, service and atmosphere (save for the reggae thats often playing for unfortunately long stretches) just make sure you dont come in during peak hours - youll find literally every last table and seat taken up by someone camped out with a laptop.

Good beer decent food and OK coffee. The atmosphere is perfect for hanging out getting work done but Im not a huge fan of their coffee. It always is super bitter to me, even in a cappuccino. Still worth checking out the place is great.

Spacious location, friendly staff, strong coffee and an excellent variety of alcoholic beverages. This is a great café (if you can find a place to sit - yes, its spacious, though its also popular enough to fill up on occasion).

Very awesome place, especially still opening until midnight but tw things I dont like on it , the music is loudly and their music kind of annoying music , and the price is a little bit expensive, however its my favorite place

Nice little cafe with a very open feeling and good character. Good espresso and tea drinks, open late, outlets at every table for charging or computer users. Great location on Capitol Hill, not a full block off Broadway.

Good food, good atmosphere. Music can be loud, and regularly see tables full of solitary folk with laptops. If thats your thing, then this is your place. If you want to converse, make sure to grab a table upstairs.

The biscuits and gravy were quite possibly the worst plate of "food" I have ever been served. Why several teaspoons of dried thyme were out in a single helping of this dish is beyond me. It was totally inedible.

Staff is very friendly and they dont even mind if you hang out without even buying anything, but the food is okay, nothing amazing. The fact they are open late compared to other cafes is a big plus though.

Fantastic place to work, big windows, great coffee/tea, spacious tables with outlets and lots of people working around you. Just bring noise cancelling headphones since the music can sometimes be loud.

Excelled cafe/restaurant/bar. Mornings and afternoons this is a laptop workers paradise coffee shop. Lunch lunch and brunch time its a good restaurant. Nights its half loud coffee shop half bar.

Good interior design, coffee looks promising. The place was completely full with students working on a Sunday afternoon, however. If you want a cafe and not an office space, avoid peak hours.

Great coffee. They do an amazing pull every time I come in. Super relaxed atmosphere and employees seem to feel confident and at ease. I dig this place for morning coffee a lot.

Great food, but very slow and inconsistent. (In the four times Ive ordered a parfait, twice I got a huge bowl of yogurt with a tiny amount of granola, and twice the opposite).

I really like the atmosphere here. The Broadway location should get drip coffee...i went and they only had espresso. They chocolate croissant was a little stiff.

Cafe solstice is not only beautiful but they have the best cappuccino I had in the entire city. Their breakfast plates are fantastic, and the baristas are friendly.
