By the time all is said and done, $35 is the cost of the food/drink per person. I rated it "Good" for the overall rating. My husband got the axoa d Espelette-ground veal and beef, and while it was fine, it was pretty salty and tasted totally like sloppy joes. I got the palourdes sautees aux e chalotes-the hama hama clams with chorizo-again pretty salty and by the time I took out the clam shells there was maybe a cup of the entree-it was kind of like a salty soup, and couldnt taste the clams much for the salty taste. We got a glass of white wine to share, which was fine, nothing special. For dessert we got the gateau au fromage blanc-the goats milk fromage blanc cake-it was dense and not super flavorful, but fine. Probably on the above items, I would rate as fair. The things I would definitely get again and would rate as very good to excellent were the gateau aux foies de volaille-the chicken liver terrine for an appetizer and the chocolate chaud was excellent for dessert. Those were definite winners. Each dish was pretty much a taste for two and with these things listed above that we ordered, as well as the complimentary bread, we didnt have any leftovers and were just satisfied, not stuffed. So if you go, plan on ordering not just the entree, but appetizers and desserts and maybe a glass of wine (and the wine glasses are fairly small) and then you will be just satisfied. The service was very good and the waitress was very sweet.

Baked ham, gruyere and béchamel with a sunny side up egg on top? Drops mic... walks away. I could just leave it at that... but you should also know its a charming and thoughtful space. Deceivingly small, theres an entire back room with high windows looking onto tree tops making it feel remote and serene. The fries are crispy and perfectly salted with whatever French norm dipping sauce you want. Everything else we saw come out to neighboring tables also looked amazing. Portions are not enormous but thats part of the point. Its good and authentic French fair. Maybe important for some to know the menu is the same all day. Breakfast to Dinner its the same. There are some great options for all times of days so youre sure to find something that will fit your craving. Fav detail: Even the "Employees must wash hands" sign in the restroom is in French :P

Though I usually only eat at organic restaurants, I trusted this place only used the best of the best ingredients accessible to them. I had the sandwich en baguette with liver terrine- Absolutely rich with simplicity yet abundant in flavor. My boyfriend and I shared that along with the tourin blanchi (garlic soup)...It was the perfect combination. You really get the french cafe vibe in there, and the people working there were extremely kind. We ordered the plate of cookies to go, then stopped at Stumptown roasters next door for a coffee, which complimented the cookies very well. I havent had cookies like those in a long time. If you want some culture in your day, or night (Open till 2am!!!)...Id recommend this cafe. Easy to get to, parking available along the streets, and lovely atmosphere. :)

I struggled with this review. I came here for breakfast. It has a European bar / diner vibe. Modern music. Servers seemed a bit tense and off put by me being there. It was awkward. But maybe thats authentic to France? I came hungry and left, still, kind of hungry. I cant ding them for this as Ive traveled a bit in Europe and breakfasts are generally small. I ended up getting a couple hard boiled eggs in a dollop of mayo with small pickles. It was strange, and not what I would have preferred, had I been given more traditional American options, but this is, after all, a French inspired restaurant. I can see some people really liking this place. It has good qualities, but its not for me.

Over priced, no meat in the sandwich and not healthy as they advertise. The ambiance is pretty nice but thats where it ends... Its a more expensive version of the same meal you can buy next door at T.H. but with less meat in the sandwich and no chicken in the chicken noodle soup. The green smoothy is the healthiest thing offered and unfortunately thats just a bit of spinach and banana blended with concentrated oj Im not a big fan of the double double but in this case i would go over to the gas station for food if youre desperate

I hosted a Holiday party for my workplace in their backroom, and am thrilled with how well we were treated and how amazing the food and drinks were! We had 28 people, which was the perfect number for the space. James and Joanne were attentive and helpful leading up to the event (and accommodated the many dietary restrictions our staff has), and the staff the night of were professional, attentive and super friendly. I would definitely recommend Café Presse for a romantic date, dinner with friends, and/or a small event!

Cafe Presse is the perfect cafe. It has breakfast, lunch and dinner food all the time, some casual some fancy some snacky. If you just want chocolate and champagne you can do it. If you want salad and wine - you can do it. If you want full on dinner- you got it. You can come dressed up or down and you will be happy. Finally its open until 2am! Serving food and beverage the whole time. Last but not least the food is good - total European cafe style. Highly recommend for locals and visitors to Seattle.

Croque madame was delicious. And the chicken pate was also really good and is a great dish to share. It came with whole grain mustard, raisins, and tiny pickles. Service was friendly and quick. Coffee and espresso is also good. Doesnt seem to be much seating once you walk in, but theres an additional room in the back with more tables. Metered street parking available but there are some residential streets nearby if you dont mind walking.

Good food, but a terrible service experience would make me second guess coming back here. The coffee and brunch food are great, and the outside patio, while a bit cramped, is great on a nice day. However, our food order was clearly lost and rather than appologizing, excuses were made even while people just sitting down were getting their food. I dont mind waiting, but lying about it is not ok. Still though, the food was good.

Soccer fans, rejoice! This is, perhaps, my favorite place to go see a match. Casual French fare, Vitta Coffee and decent cocktail/spirits offering you can enjoy while cheering for your favorite team. They also carry an excellent selection of international magazines. Flipping through the pages of Paris Match with one hand while holding a Croque-Monsieur on the other? Yes, please!

Breakfast, dessert, and drinks are well-crafted gifts from France, at Presse. I confess I havent been to France, but the flavors in the food are fresh and bright in an unfamiliar way that gives me the impression of authenticity. Plus, si vous parlez français, there is a French conversation table on Wednesday nights!

I never really had much experience with French food before. I thought the portions would be small and expensive, but theyre surprisingly filling, rich, and definitely worth it. Although some complain about the service, I had no problems with it at all and whoever put on the background music had a dope ass playlist.
