By far, this is my favorite pub. Jay and Kristin have 27 Microbrews on tap, which vary from IPAs, Ales, Pilsners, Browns, Stouts, Lambecs, Sours, Porters, Belgian ales and more. The patrons are a mellow crowd. Occasional brewers nights are on Wednesdays, check their Facebook page for schedules. Thursdays attracts pool players. The Fish and Chips (beer battered of course) in my opinion are the best anywhere so far that I have tried (this includes the Oregon coast). The mushroom and cheese burger is my favorite but the others are great as well. Fridays are Prime rib night which is popular with the regular patrons (since they know it is good!). The servers are personable and service is great. It can get a bit busy now, since the reputation for this place is getting around, but it is totally worth the wait. Outdoor seating is available in the better weather and you can even bring your canine friend to sit with you outdoors in the summer...as many of us do. See you there!

Stopped in to check out the re-model and must say it is nice, but lacking some of the character that it used to have. I asked the bartender(s) about to of the beers - very difficult questions like "where is this beer from", and was amazed that NEITHER of the girls had any idea what I was talking about. I repeated this question a second time about a second beer, and received the same response. Shouldnt bartenders know something, anything about the products that they are selling? Would a "cheat sheet" describing the beers be asking for alot? Instead, I was offered the business card of the "girl who know about the beer". What a change, and not for the better. It will take much more than a fresh coat of paint to put this place back on the map.

Tried Dog and Pony for the first time for dinner and drinks, and the service was terrible. The place was not quite half full. We sat for about 10-15 without anyone offering us drinks, menus, or any kind of service. We made eye contact with multiple servers... nothing. One of the bartenders even delivered beers to the table next to us, and the only thing she said was "Hi!" on her way back to the bar. Waited several more minutes, still no service. Wish I could comment on the food or beer, but we werent about to wait any longer to at least be offered the chance to try anything. We will not be back.

They get 5 stars onley becouse they have a large beer selection on tap and good food. As far as ambiance and environment this place gets a 2. There are very few younger people at this place. I went on a thursady and brought 7 people and the whole place oney had 15. You could hear crickets, if your over 35 or 40 and maried it would be a good place there food is awsome but really not set up for the younger.

One of my favorite places in Renton to have a drink and get a bit to eat. Not a wide selection of food, but pretty good. The Fish Taco is my favorite. Decent rotating on-tap beer selection. It tends to be more for a place to have a conversation then it is a place to watch the game (which you can still do) Parking however is very limited. Will likely need to park in surrounding neighborhoods.

My coworkers and I have enjoyed the D&P for years. Weve had a few favorite waitresses over the years and there has always been someone to take care of us. They have a number of rotating taps and I always find something interesting to drink. Their nachos are a favorite but a lot of other good food as well. There is a nice patio to sit on when the weather is nice.

the food was delicious but the service sucked. it took like 45 mins just to get beers then after we ordered food, it took almost an hour to get the appetizers. the freaking appetizers! not even a good beer menu, they have a crap ton of IPAs and barely anything else. it was disappointing but i guess you cant really expect much for a bar and grill in renton

We come especially for the Seafood Chop Salad. Great selection of bears on tap. I usually have the hard cider on tap. Occasionally we score the leather sofa in front of the big clear TV and watch whatever is on while we eat. A couple of friends recommended this place several years ago, and we have been going almost every week since then.

Good location, easy to find. Good food and even better selection of beer. Masculine but warm decorate, servers were nice and friendly. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the already drunken and loud customers, that made being there a little uncomfortable. They looked like regulars and will probably be there again.

A friend and I just went there on the 2nd of June 2012, we both loved it! I ordered the Catfish n fries and it was delicious. We also ordered a hummus plate as an appetizer and enjoyed that as well. She ordered the Hot Italian sandwich and also was very pleased with her order, we had various IPAs, it was all good. Well be back!

Good beer selection from around the west coast. Not quite divey otherwise, but not particularly nice, which is fine. Just an unassuming joint that cares about its beer. Also, bartender was very nice and didnt even ask to be paid after dispensing the beer. She just said "come up and pay whenever youre done drinking." Trusting!

I havent been there but I wanna go! The owners of this bar came to the brewery I work at and were so much fun! I usually go to dcs when Im in renton because of the many beers they have to offer(and I will still go there), but Im so excited to try it out based upon how friendly those people were!!

Great food (anything cooked in the fryer is AMAZING), awesome local craft beer selection, as well as knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. This has become a regular hangout for me, my wife, and even more recently, our kids too (when we realized kids are allowed before 8pm)!

Delicious, well rounded beer selection. I enjoyed every fresh hop they had on tap. The service was fine. It was right at open, so we had the bartender to ourselves. The prices seem a bit high for the area. If I want to spend that kind of money, Ill go to the Beer Junction.

Love the dog and pony. Sometimes service is not as prompt as Id like but not that big a deal too me as they dont mind me calling to them. Watch out for the extra loud trivia night. Not a good night to go unless you want some trivia I guess.

Wide-ranging, eclectic beer selection! Erin was our bartender/server, and was a genuinely nice person. Youd want her for your neighbor. The fajita burrito was delicious and filling. A very pleasant Sunday afternoon experience!

Usually a great place to hang out. However last time we went the waitress couldnt remember our order and took a long time to deliver. Never came back and asked if we wanted a refill. The service quality just wasnt there.
