I really wanted to like this place, especially with as nice as the staff is. Unfortunately, there are some basic problems that convenient location and great staff cant overcome. Specifically, this place cant seem to figure out its identity. Is it a proper pub, complete with a large list of drinks, and basic bar fare? Is it a family-type grill, from the pages of Red Robin and the like? Or is it a high-end grill, cut from the same page as a Jaks or similar? None of the above, but it suffers from trying to be all of the above. Things started out ok with the app. They do a good calamari. A little pricier than I would normally spend for what you get, but they didnt overcook and the sauce was a good combo of creamy and spicy. Things went downhill from there. Remember that its supposed to be a bar and grill? Then why does it only feature 2 burgers? And for the love of all things holy, why is their price point north of $12 for a basic burger? Couple that with the limited number of drinks, and you can see why I said this place doesnt fit the bill as a proper pub, despite how many TVs they have tuned to local sports. They have a kids menu, which is typically a good idea for any restaurant in the kid country known as Maple Valley. Decent options, too. So why on earth is it .50 more for juice? And why dont they offer crayons and a kid coloring/menu sheet? And why do they not regulate the table of extremely loud 20-something girls at the nearby table? You see why I say this isnt a family-type grill, either. After reviewing the menu, I made the assumption (based on options and price point) that this place must be a high-end grill. So my wife ordered the steak and I ordered the cedar plank grilled salmon. I added a bowl of NW seafood chowder. The chowder suffered from three fatal flaws: 1). Bland flavor relying too heavily on the use of Bourbon and not enough on creating a good creme profile, 2). Lack of uniformity in cutting size of the ingredients, leading to lack of consistency in how cooked all the items were (some potato chunks were undercooked, etc.), and 3). Bowl and soup werent delivered hot. My wifes steak, though ordered medium, was delivered medium rare. I would normally agree with the kitchen, but you should always cook the way the customer orders. The limp vegetables were evidence that the cook knows how to overcook at least one thing in the kitchen. Finally, my salmon arrived. You know how cedar grilled salmon comes out of the grill with a nice, golden crust on the outside? Mine had a slimy, gray appearance on the outside, leading me to believe that either (A). The salmon was cooked in a hotel pan (or similar) or (B). The salmon was left to heat long after in a moist pan. Either possibility is likely, but neither indicates concern over quality cooking. And yes, my vegetables had the same failings as those they served to my wife. So you can see why this place also fails as a high-end grill. The only indication that wed had a high-end dining experience was the price we paid at the end of the night. As a result, Ill not go back a second time.

Couple things to note. We were told 15 minute wait and it ended up being 35 minute wait just to get in the door. After that we waited 15 minutes to order food and after ordering, it took another 35 minutes to get our food (not kidding). My kids finished their orange juice and chocolate milk before we got our food and the waitress never once stopped by within that 35 minute time to ask do you need a refill? So we sat there waiting for 35 minutes waiting for food with no refills on my soda or my kids drinks. After we got our food the food was subpar. I ordered an omelet and it had very little ingredients and extra fluffy egg whites (to hide the fact that you did not have much ingredients in there) and it and was not worth the price you pay for it. We originally got there at 11 am and left about 1:30. So we had an hour and a half out of our Fathers Day celebration sitting here in this crappy restaurant with crappy service earing crappy food. Maybe you guys should take a hint from Red Robin, the people youre in competition with, and model your service after theirs. Until then, I will use my Fathers Day $10 gift card to go in and buy a drink at the bar and then go over to Farrellis across the street and have some good service and great food.

Hostess: 15-20 minutes for outside seating Can we sit at a table out there. No. (2 opened, bussed tables empty) Hostess: want to sit at the bar? Bar is full.... I have seen a number of restaurants that do this. Is it in attempt to make their restaurant appear "popular" with the lines outside? Is this part of their marketing campaign? I would think that a patron sitting down with something to drink is more likely to stay than someone waiting in a line looking through the windows at open tables. Actively losing business as we speak.... Watched several families walk out.

We were the only patrons in the whole place, and still the service was extremely slow. She took our food order fast but, it took over 20 minutes for our food to come. It was a Caesar salad and Nachos, seriously 20 minutes! She didnt check on us once, I had to flag her down to get a drink refill. The salad was good but the Nachos were gross, the chips were stale and all the cheese had pooled at the bottom making it cheese soup. Sorry, weve given this place 3 different tries and it always disappoints.

Long wait for beverage or for my order to be taken. About 10 minutes. Food was good and came quick. Then another long wait for my check, and although I had money on the table, server walked away leaving the bill on the table. Then another long wait for change. Not a good place for a quick lunch, but ok if youre not in a rush. I think they only had one server for the entire place for lunch, so probably not her fault but issues with staffing appropriately.

I would love to be able to write a review of my food experience here but I cannot. We arrived on a weekday evening and were seated quickly. We had a server bring water and then disappear. Evaluating the service is an important part of my evaluation of a new restaurant. After 20 minutes without a server appearing at our table again we got up and left. So unfortunately I cannot speak to the quality of the food and will not be returning

Great atmosphere and the staff was extremely pleasant. Great variety of food to meet anyones pallet. The wood fire smoked dishes were fantastic. We had the salmon and the pork loin which were done perfectly. No really overpriced for the amount of food you get. Best Ice Tea I have had in awhile. The other entrees we say going by look good as well, especially the fish and chips. We will be back to try those for lunch in the future.

I have picked up to-go numerous times, and each time the fried food is packaged in a way that it goes soggy by the time you get it 2 min away. Each time the service staff have deer-in-the-headlight eyes. Too inexperienced. The food COULD be good fresh, but the coleslaw was nothing more than slaw mix with watered down mayo-no seasoning AT ALL. Sorry...the only thing I can see from a non "bar experience" view is the good location.
