Today was our second time here and we will not come back. Our comments are mostly about the ownership and not about the playground and staff. Owner of this place is a rude and very unwelcoming individual who does not care about anything other than making a quick buck. Understandable when you run a business but some customer service would be nice. We were told "no outside food, especially nuts" which we understood but didnt think that giving our two year old some cereal would cause a scene and ultimately drive us out the door. Owner was rude and very combative when she saw us giving our 2 year old daughter some cereal. She yelled saying "THIS IS MY HOUSE. I DONT COME TO YOUR HOUSE SMOKING CIGARETTES!!!". When I told her we didnt smoke, trying to defuse the situation, she continued on stating how she could lose her business blah blah. How smart can somebody be to compare adult cigarette smoking to kids eating cereal? I dont know, but doubt its somebody concerned about your childs wellbeing if cigarette analogy is the first one that comes to her mind. Health department could care less but thats the story she goes by, claiming its for the safety of the kids. Its pretty simple, she made up that rule so that she could sell more of her "healthy" food, which is overpriced and mostly is purchased from other food suppliers and not really prepared by them as she claims. Bagels for example come from Blazing Bagels, and coffee is from Ladro. Both good companies but thats beside the point. What if I showed up there with a cup of Ladros latte and bagel from Blazing Bagels and consumed it there? I guess those two items would be lot safer if I purchased them at the Playground Cafe. Give me a break. If I have my kids b-day party here am I not allowed to bring my own cake? Oh, Im pretty sure theyll make an exception if there was a party. I guess if we gave them $10 it would be o.k. to feed my 2 year old some cereal. Maybe for extra $5 I could give her one cracker? If owner truly cared about the safety she would implement some kind of crowd control. Place was packed with kids and parents and many kids were stomped on by each other. Nothing serious happened this time as all the parents keep a good eye on their kids but I’m sure if some fire code wasn’t violated this time it soon will be. Crowd control could equal less money in owner’s pocket, so I’m not surprised this hasn’t been implemented yet. I’m sure it will be at some point, and yes I’m saying that with a little bit of sarcasm. So my advice is if you plan to have your child eat food you prepared for them dont plan on doing it there. You will be attacked by a very angry middle aged woman without any manners and class. When told "this is not a very nice way to run a business", she said "look around" implying "place is full", "Im doing well". Pretty cocky and full of herself so she doesnt care about losing one customer, my 2 year old daughter. Well played, well played. I truly hope my commentary will drive many of the good folks out there away. Oh and by the way, food and coffee we ordered there we never got. Do you think we got our money back? You guessed right, no freaking way.

Well...... I have never even been to this place and I dont even want to go at all!!! My Daughter is Allergic to many more things other than Nuts and I Truly believe that this is an Awsome Idea for a Business, But when you have more than just One customer complaining about how rude the owner is and How Bad Her temper is, I am to Scared to bring My children at all! I guess what I am trying to say is that there are other ways to deal with situations than to raise your voice infront of children cus let Me tell you, if I was just sitting there and I heard the owner raising Her voice around my kids, than I would be out of there in a Heart Beat! Its just Not the way you run a Business! Anyhow good luck with place!

While here with an out of down guest we overheard the "owner" of the establishment yelling at an older man with two very young boys that were crying. She was mad because he brought a peanut butter sandwich for his grandson. She was screaming so loud that 4 different people approached her to calm down and be more professional. She talked over everyone, I am certain that she didnt hear a thing that we had to say. As we were exiting I heard her screaming at her employees that she should just her business down. I think she should keep it open and have someone else manage it! Shame on you for being so rude in front of so many little kids! Have you ever heard the saying treat your elders with respect?

I love this place! My grandson and I go about once a week. Today he was having a bad day and hit another child. He is only 21 months and I felt horrible. I apologized for the behavior but the mom was mad and scolded him and I. The owner came to me later to see if I was alright and offered to buy me coffee saying that she heard I was treated rudely by another parent. Wow! She made me feel so much better. I watch him carefully but you just cant catch it all. Thanks! This is a great place to bring kids. I really appreciate all the effort that goes into making it a safe place for everyone!

PlayHappy has gotten better recently. It still gets crowded with rowdy kids who arent being supervised well enough but there are more volunteers who are wandering around keeping an eye on things. Instead of just being in charge of picking up toys they seem to be paying attention to the kids as well. At least so far as to intervene if one child is hurting another. The play area is safe and clean. The food is tasty but quite pricey for what it is. We had our daughters second birthday here and recommend their parties for that age group.

My 2 year old really loves to go here. It currently costs a little over $8 for one child so be prepared to stay for a while to get your moneys worth. You will find a large train table, bouncy house, ball house, slide, books, push cars and much more to entertain your toddler. Two negatives: 1) they dont allow any outside food or drink. 2) You must pay for crawling babies. It seems pretty unreasonable to pay for any child under 1. Great place for a rainy day!

This place is nice for children, but admission is expensive, considering how small the play area is. Also, the last couple of times I have been, the handle to the door leading into the play area was broken, which is a safety concern. The food at the cafe is not that good and also overpriced. The coffee is good! I did come into contact with the owner once. She was not very friendly. My thoughts? There are better, cheaper places to play in the area.

Went on a weekday morning. This was our 2nd time going. Its a great space but they have increased their prices. First time was $10 now it is $12. The price is steep, especially considering the fact they allow no outside food. There are other play places in the area that are $10 and allow customers to bring in their own food. This will be an every once in awhile type of place but I wont be going often.
