We have eaten in this fine restaurant many many times since 1994! This is a classic example of a restaurant being run by a family of owners, rather than by a crew of employees. The high quality and great taste of the food come through every time. The service is friendly and prompt. The menu is extensive and interesting with great selections for either end of the adventure spectrum and everything in-between. The tell-tale sign of an excellent restaurant is that it stays in place for many years. Well this family must now be going on 30 years in the same location. That says something! And in relation to the quality and experience, the prices here are quite reasonable. If you enjoy quality breakfast and lunch dining, eat here. If youre typically satisfied with breakfast at McDonalds and lunch at Subway, then maybe you need to step up to The 14 Carrot Cafe.

Just left 14 Carrot for breakfast. This must be one of Seattle's finest places for breakfast. The menu choices were planned well with various combinations of different tastes for varying palates, ( I had the"Tuscan" omelette ), suiting the traditional and adventuresome eater. The service is exceptional. My server made me feel "at home"...maybe even better. The prices are average to slightly above but worth every penny. My review is one star shy as this was my first experience with this eatery but stay tuned after my second experience and the food and service remain intact the last star will be earned. Please visit this restaurant if you want the best in fresh good food and great service!

Terrible soups! Poor service. I came in 15 after 11 and ordered half a sandwich and soup for lunch. When I tried to order the 14 Carrot Club the waiter just said "No! No sandwiches over $11" but it didnt say that anywhere on the menu... I got the blt and broccoli cheddar cheese. The sandwich was fine but the soup was so bland. It literally tasted like water. I asked for the chicken pasta soup instead. They didnt bring it over until I was done with my sandwich like 15 minutes later. And the chicken soup was also so bland. :( Disappointing.. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I wont be back.

The morning after my brothers bachelor party, we decided to stop by for breakfast. Immediately, we were welcomed in and the staff pushed a couple tables together for us to be seated. The selections on the menu made it so difficult to order because every option looked delicious. They have anything from pesto eggs benedict to egg nog French toast. Our waiter was very nice and super funny. When they brought our orders to the table, I think we were all amazed with how much food there was. I would come here again anytime and highly recommend you stop in. Really cool cafe.

I love these ever since an old friend made them for us, but I find it hard to find in the stores. Naturally, I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. Tried a sweet and a savory trumpet...the maple cream butter and the ham and english cheese. Both were great. Only issue is to check the days theyre open. Make sure theyre open the day youre down there.

It was a cute place we went to on a whim, they need waaaay more wait staff, she was over burdened, I ordered carrot juice and got orange juice, my girlfriend ordered soy milk and didnt get it until 20 minutes after her coffee, and my cinnamon French toast was the most stale bread Ive ever had. Oh well, I might go back at a less busy time.

Awesome, and busy, little diner. The wait staff forgot our drinks for a little bit and ended up comping them unexpectedly. We were very surprised and felt bad that they felt they needed to, but it was still a lovely thing to do on their part. We tipped well and will definitely be back.

Great brunch with good portions. You get the right amount quality noms instead of oversized portions of greasy food. There was almost no wait on a Saturday morning and the staff was friendly and efficient. The coffee was good even if my friend was disappointed with her London Fog.

Been going here many years. Great selection of food for all eating preferences. One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places around Seattle. Also has an outdoors coffee stand. Food is tasty and portion sizes fall into the category of "usually more than enough". Excellent staff too.

Had a crepe madame and it was delicious. The coffee was great and the service was the best. The value to quality ratio is great, I really recommend this place and I will absolutely be returning on this same trip. They have several options for breakfasts of all tastes and kinds.

Weakest coffee in Seattle. It looks like tea. If there were writing on the bottom of the mug, you could read it. When you add milk, it tastes like youre drinking...warm milk. Too bad, because everything else is great. But weak coffee is a dealbreaker.

Great food, and the best part, it is all cooked there fresh. Forget the typical breakfast places where all the eggs come the same size and shape from the processing - this is a home cooked meal. And their drinks add a great touch to a great meal.

Love 14 Carrot! So many good vegetarian and meat lover options! The cottage cheese pancakes are out of this world! And the staff are all friendly and accommodating. Such a nice neighborhood place.

Huevos rancheros were delicious! This place is hopping on Saturday mornings, besides a short wait, I loved it. ..cinnamon rolls were not so great (served with butter not icing, and a bit dry)

One of my favorite under-the-radar breakfast / brunch places in Seattle. Rarely a long line, homemade corned beef hash, and great family running it. An Eastlake institution!

Really great breakfast place, kind of an upscale diner feel. Huge range of menu options at a reasonable price point ($15 per plate). Service is always friendly.
