If you want the best burger you have ever had a reasonable price look no further! The meat is juicy and flavorful the topping combinations are inspired. The choices for sides are great! If you want fries they have shoestring, thick cut onion rings, soup, salad, homemade beet chips... You cant make a bad choice. Drink options are nice with a cooler of cool bottled sodas and teas, wine selection is average (but it is a burger shop so I am ok with average), the beer is a nice selection of local taps (local as in around the corner and a couple of towns over) and a great selection of very very good milkshakes. I am more than happy to go out of my way to eat at the great burger joint. If you are a burger fan then do yourself a favor and make the trip to one of the best burger shops around.

I have tried this place twice now, and have been disliked both experiences. I ordered the basic Cheddar Burger with bacon, and 15 minutes, and 11 dollars later, the plate arrived. My burger had an entire salads worth of greenery on top of a lump of grilled onions. The tomato was also huge, and when combined with all the other toppings, was impossible to eat. I had to go ask for additional silverware to attempt to eat the burger. The whole thing eventually turned into a pile of mushed food, and wax paper (because they dont give you a plate). All-in-all it was an okay burger, worth maybe 6-8 bucks. 11 dollars for this experience is outrageous! One redeeming feature is the straw-fries were good though.

Oh May Goodness! You cant go work stopping here and become a regular customer. Unless you do not want a stacked delicious, mouth water, handcrafted magic burger!. Simple menu, Amazing option. Great old-school bottled sodas selection. Price is a little on the spendy side. But honestly worth every sent. I will spend it every time. The dinning experience is an order counter and a quaint seating area capturing gig harbors old-school laid back fishing community vibe. Its yummy and due to its small dinning area, makes it feel exclusive. Great staff! Friendly and happy. Not your typical stuffy gig harbor customer service. Refreshing experience and blows chain burger joints out of the water!!!

Sum up: Great burgers. Awkward customer service. Pros:The shoe string fries are fantastic! They have the right amount of salt, garlic, and rosemary. The burgers are really good, as well. My favorite place to grab burgers in Gig Harbor. My personal favorite is the caprese burger. The restaurant is fairly small and popular but it has never been too busy when Ive been there. Cons: You always have to wait a while for food. The servers always seem like the dont want to be there which makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable

Looking for extraordinary? Then you need to come give the Gourmet Burger shop a try! This is NOT your typical burger place. The burgers are unique and definitely very good. They have different choices on their menu, and plenty of choices of sauces and styles of fries. Their shakes are super thick and fantastic! Not a lot of sitting room here, so be advised to try them out when its not a usual peak time for eating. Staff is polite and very helpful with describing the menu and choices. I will be back again for sure

definitely a BEST BURGER! Ive been to Gourmet Burger several times before but my dinner this evening MADE me write this review. Had the Bacon Cheddar Burger with shoe string rosemary fries- cooked to perfection and absolutely fresh & delicious! and the shakes are terrific. great service & friendly staff:) for all you Californians that are craving In N Out THIS is your remedy! honestly the only downside is it is usually a bit of a wait- but well worth it!

I have eaten here several times, over a dozen in fact, and have never had anything but a stellar experience. Occasionally I have had to wait a bit, but it is always worth it. They are the best burgers, with the freshest ingredients. I cant believe some of the comments....too much fresh lettuce? Really? Rather go to Burger King? Really? Well then, for you folks, maybe the take out at Walmart is the way to go.

Go ahead and head downtown rather than stay by the highway. There are several parking spots behind the building. Plenty of parking just across the street by the park. We had three different burgers, each about six inches tall next to a heaping pile potato strings, onion rings or fried beet chips. I enjoyed the avocado burger with onion rings. This is one of these best burgers I have had in a long time.

After a 90 minute wait our party of 5 was served burned burgers with no sides which arrived cold 10 minutes later. The greasy onion rings were inedible. Because you pay when you order if we had left we would have lost our money had we left. If I had realized how bad the food was I would have left after an hour. This is one of the worst dining experiences in a long time.

Great burgers, ideal location in old downtown Gig Harbor, decent price! My only issue, being the proud wearer of a full beard, is the edibility of the burgers without making an embarrassing mess of myself...youll know what I mean when your 10" tall burger gets to you. It reminds me of Shaggy and Scoobs eating a sandwich. *try the avocado milkshake!

We went last night 4/5/15 and we had very nice time. The food was awesome, the music was at a level, that I could talk to my wife across the table and not have to shout( like in a lot of restaurants that we have gone to) The menu was very good and easy to understand. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back soon.

Great service, very attentive and fast. Delicious shakes -- all the usual plus interesting flavors like Nutella and Bananas Foster. Yummy burgers and accoutrements, also with many interesting varieties. For example, gorgonzola and avacado burger and fries with black truffle sauce, yummm.

The only downside to this place is lack of seating, it has great food. The basil fries are amazing, I had the Reuben it was so good, kids had hamburger and hot dog baskets and we all shared a chocolate peanut butter shake, so good. Will definitely be returning here in the near future!

Everything in this place is thoughtfully crafted - not your typical burger - tender meat, perfect choice for bun, surprising sauces, dont get me started on their onion rings....they are absolutely the best Ive ever had! Service is excellent, surprising gem in the harbor... : )

The mushroom swiss was damn near tasteless except for mostly oil and the hint of the mayo I inevitably found on only one half of my burger =.= The wait time was also long; personally 2 mushroom swiss meals and 1 shake here is NOT worth the 30$ they charged us.

Fantastic, I love the place! I feel bad for the folks who ended up there when it was super busy. Normally the burgers are fantastic and the onion rings rock. Seven Seas and other local microbrewery are also sold here if you want a brew.

Great burgers and shakes. Sean was very professional. He was not only taking orders from customers but making shakes and running the register. I was amazed at how many customers knew him and were so happy to see him. Great job Sean!
