One of the best burger joints around Washington. I have ordered the Blazing Onion Burger, Beer Battered Cod Sandwich, Blue Burger, Sweet Hickory BBQ Burger, Texas Heat Burger, Wild Boar Burger, Grilled Chicken Avacado Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich. The ones listed as a sandwich are burgers to me, they come on a burger kaiser. My favorites are the Pulled Pork and Sweet Hickory BBQ Sandwich, top notch gourmet burgers! You pay up front, pick a place to sit down, wait for your order, and put up your number. Wait time is normal. The buns on the burgers are very greasy. Some burgers fall apart easily and there arent any forks on the table so it can get quite messy. They dont give you enough napkins in my opinion, out of all the times Ive been there.Their are endless fries with every burger/sandwich, which is great! Problem is they only give you the smallest amount of fries and take a while to make it. But their fries are really good, especially the sweet potato fries upgrade. The desserts are very lame, nothing exclusive or original. I have not tried them all but definitely nothing special, they need to work on that. Ive tried the Cheesecake, and wow... not as good as I was expecting from Blazing Onion. Kind of a sticky-fluffy texture, not even that good. Very comparable to any Burger King cheesecakes. Blazing Onion has a bar and tons of HD TVs, and they even include vitamin water and jones soda which for me is a big plus. Very nice atmosphere and free soda refills (do it yourself). All in all it is a great experience, every time I go there I am satisfied. Probably one of my favorite places to eat. 9 out of 10.

There are so many negative remarks I can say about this place, I dont even know where to begin. 1st let me just say that I didnt even want to go here a 2nd time only because the 1st time I came here was the most awful experience ever. Not only did we have crappy service, the food and drinks were horrible, so to come back a 2nd time was definitely not my idea. Today is my birthday and we shared that with server, not only did she say it was her birthday within 10 min of placing our drink orders in, she had already forgotten it was my bday. She came in during a conversation we were having amongst ourselves and said, omg its your birthday, well happy birthday, we all just looked at each other like, r u serious??? We just told her that...the server kept forgetting our drinks, the food was awful, it was cold, the fries were soggy. Not to mention the server spilled our water glasses on us when they brought out the food. Never brought us water, had to keep reminding her everytime for everything. It just became annoying. I am never ever coming here again. The worst birthday dinner ever. I wish I would have complained to a manager about how awful everything is but again, it was my birthday and didnt want to make my company become uncomfortable even though we all came in agreement that it was just an awful experience for all of us. The burgers alone were small, not fresh, tasted like they were previously frozen and they were cold when we got them. Ugh. Hate the Blazing Onion. We came home to heat up left over pizza and that was way better than the food at this p.o.s restraunt. Sorry, but its true

My experience at Blazing onion (gig harbor location) was pretty awesome. First off, the reviews on this site are kinda misleading. The way they do things is quite different from any other nicer burger joint, when you walk in you order and pay right there at the front desk (kinda like McDonalds). Then you get a big placard with a number on it (representing our order), your drink, and go to your table where you wait for your food (my wait was about 15 mins). The biggest catch is you arent assigned a waiter! It is a combined effort of the whole restaurant to serve you! So, there is a big red stop sign at your table you put in your napkin holder if you need attention from the staff. I like this because the service is ALOT quicker than any nicer restaurant Ive been to because every employee is your waiter! There is a gratuity box posted by the door if you want to tip. I really like this setup because a large pet peeve of mine is finding "surprises" on my bill and then having to battle my waitress to get it straightened out. Here it is all up front and straight forward. Not to mention the food was outstanding! I really like their fries too! they have a very wide selection of healthy choices and big juicy american burgers! My friends and I are very picky and we were impressed!

I live local and frequent this establishment often. Since its arrival to Gig Harbor, its been an instant favorite of mine and my wifes as well as many of my friends. The service can sometimes seem slower but that is only because they are usually very packed and have many things to deal with. The attitude of the service, however, makes up for any resemblance of being slow. As far as the food here, I cannot say that I would eat a burger from elsewhere. With the variety of burgers that they carry, and the flavor of each of them, they are truly kings of their trade. I have eaten at least half, if not more, of the burgers they offer and have yet to find one I didnt like. The Ranch-hand and the Texas Heat are both delicious, and the Sweet Hickory is absolutely a top-notch taste. Aside from their burgers, they also offer a large variety of finger foods and full plate dinners, as well as some veggie friendly meals. To sum it all up, Ill just say this; Give it a try. Unless youre trying to diet, youll find it a worth-while experience both for the quality VS the price, and for the atmosphere and proximity to other fun stuff (Movies, Fro-Yo, Ice Cream, Golf Course).

First time here. I walked right in and ordered at the counter. Took my number and sat down at a table. Immediately a server came over, only to swipe my number and tell me that next time I need to order from the table or bar if I was going to sit in the area I was in. Uhh...okay. Thats totally clear and not confusing. 10 minutes later, there was a waitress walking around with my beer and I overheard her ask the bartender, "Have you seen order #268 anywhere? I cant find them." It was mine. So thanks to the other waitress that swiped my number and didnt communicate to anybody else that I was order number #268. Another 15 minutes later, my food arrived. 25 minutes total to get my food. It was NOT busy. It was a mellow Monday evening around 7:30pm. Food was decent, nothing special & definitely overpriced. I wont be back.

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The choice of ordering up front or having to sit in the 21+ area was not very appealing and made the environment (hence the décor score low). However our server was so desperate for tips that he was flirting with me to the point of annoying my date and getting me a "Do you know him?" question. Small tip waiter - if your flirting for tips, make sure your flirting with the person whos paying! My date who was paying the tab was not amused. So if your looking for a quick family dinner and dont mind seating yourself, pricing is decent and food is tasty. The onion petals thrumped my favorite resturants onion rings! If your looking for a date night - not the place to go.
