Carolina Smoke is an amazing experience. Ive been going there for a couple of years now. Sadly not as often as I should. The food is incredible. I always get the brisket and have never once been let down. Ive tried just about everything on the menu and its all wonderful. The service...the service is on a whole different level. Not in the same way a fancy restaurant would be. In a comfortable way. The owner is extremely friendly (though he wont hesitate to give you some crap when you come in lol) and he makes sure everyone feels welcome there. It feels like you are eating in his home. He comes out and chats and has conversations. The best experience I can remember was one night when my family and I went around 7pm or so (they close at 8 I believe). The cornbread (which is the best Ive had) was unusually dry. We didnt say anything because even dry its still the best corn bread around. A few minutes into the meal I see the owner walking out with a full plate of corn bread. He set it down and said "the other girl noticed the corn bread was a bit dry. Heres some new stuff". I was amazed...Ive never been to a restaurant that was actually proactive about that kind of thing. Usually you have to mention it or complain. They really strive to make sure you have a fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and take a drive over to Bothell for some incredible BBQ.

Go somewhere else! Another lady (good cook & fellow soul food lover) went with me to check the place out. I really want to give the nice people and homey establishment a great rating, but out of all the food sampled (greens, mac&cheese, chicken, ribs, cornbread, coleslaw), none of it was at a quality I could recommend. :-( Unfortunately, the meat was bland, the sides were not tasty or fulfilling, and it made this Midwesterner wish shed gave it a try at home. I missed home cooked soul food more than I did coming into the restaurant & felt sad for the guys recommending the place as they must not have had a good soulful meal in a long time. Just take the drive to a better spot, like Jones or try a few recipes at home. Good luck!

Please dine elsewere.. Until we get paid. Were a small business. We would like to be paid for work we did at the Bothell Blues Festival. Sorry, but when you looked me in the eye and said you would take care of it, I believed you. It was a hard thing to do, confronting you at your business. So talk to your neighbor, Sean. But you said you would pay and get money from him. How would you feel if I hired you for a large catering job, you shopped, cooked, and I didnt pay you for your services after the event. We trusted, and went against policy of payment in full up front, that didnt imply payment optional. I would be first to change this review gladly once this debt is cleared.

Stay away from the Brisket! I Dont know about the rest of the menu but the brisket was dry and some of the slices where cut with the grain:(. Plus the potato salad taste worse than store bought and the Baked beans where crunchy and drowning in BBQ sauce. On top of that they charge $10 for a brisket sandwich with a side or you can make it a combo of some sort for $14. I got the combo my brother just got the sandwich. There was no difference besides a hot link in the sandwich. You can buy a hot link on the side for $3, so they charge a dollar to cut a link down the middle and place it on the bread. If you have to drowned the meat in sauce, thats not good BBQ.

Ok so I have mixed feelings about this place, overall the meat is ok, but at times dry. The mac n cheese (which they consider a premium side) has a strange texture, not creamy, more mealy. The beans are ok, the coleslaw is ok, not great. The pecan pie is terrible and I never met a pecan pie I did not like and did not finish before. They seem to be out of stuff a lot that is on their menu and even basics like proper bag sizing. Their prices are high for the quality. Sauces are ok, some better than others, again ok, not great.

Its a small place that is easy to miss if you arent looking for it. A couple friends recommended this place to me but I kept forgetting to check it out. Then we saw a review on the news and decided it was time to go. The decor is Seahawks, the food is Carolina BBQ and the stmosphere is friendly. The owner came by our table to check on our food and recommend which sauce goes with which meal. He made great recommendations. We cant wait to go again. We ordered the brisket sandwich with the fattest pieces of brisket.

Loved it, loved it, loved it! One of the best BBQ places around. They consistently win competitions and it shows. Went there with 8 people and we ordered as much of the menu as possible, being that we are all BBQ fanatics and everything was amazing. Pulled pork, wow. Cornbread, amazingly good. Beef brisket, full of flavor. Oh and their spicy BBQ is the best Ive had in a long time. It would be 5 star if not for the prices; a tad high with no real low-cost options. But you get what you pay for; its SO GOOD!

The prices are high, but the food is excellent. Large portions and simple, no-frills barbecue of excellent quality ingredients have made this place an instant favorite for me. My girlfriend and I ordered a half rack of ribs, a hot links sandwich, cornbread, jalepeno cornbread, and smoke mac and cheese to go. The ribs came with sauce and were amazing, the jalepeno cornbread was spicy yet sweet with the honey, and the hot links were HOT. Overall, a great experience with the food.

Ive been here a few times and will surely return. I think it is most favorable for take-out and catering. If you eat in, do not expect much table service. You have to pick up your food at a window then get your own utinsels (plastic). If you require a refill of your beverage, you have to go to the window and ask for it. Prices are on the high side considering the dining experience, but portions are generous and food is delicious. You can often catch football on the big-screen TV.

Visiting for Fathers day event. Theyre grilling out in the lot with a guy playing the steelpan. Great atmosphere, I feel like Im back in Jamaica. We had the brisket sandwich, 14oz Rib-eye steak, 1/2 rack of ribs, cornbread, coleslaw, and beans shared between 5 people. Plenty of food for everyone with some left over. Everything was cooked perfectly and the meats paired perfectly with the variety of sauces offered. Highly recommend coming here and we will definitely be back

INSANE ribs.. Look around at other BBQ shops.. what do they do??? They smother their meat in sauce... why? To hide the fact they cannot cook good BBQ.. Carolina Smoke doesnt put ANY sauce on their food.. they let ME do it.. The meat rub along with the slow smoke makes their ribs, brisket and pulled pork taste so frickn good..mmmmm. Right now its close to midnight and I wish they were open.. I would head there right now.. where are my keys???? :)
