I would have to agree that their location is kind of strange--the parking situation even more so. Craving Chinese, I decided to try Chef Peking on my ride home. I called them up, placed my order (sweet and sour prawns with the sauce on the side), was told it would be 10-15 minutes--I arrived in 5 and it was already done! No complaint about speed, but for takeout, especially FRIED takeout, this is a big "no no." I was barely greeted, and when I tried to make friendly conversation, I was rushed to complete the transaction when there were only a few people in the dining area. Im not disappointed in the flavor of the food--it is good in its own right...but fair and far from unique. For this type of dish, $10.95 is not overpriced, however, it is the portion size that is. I am tiny and easily full...I was left thinking about grabbing another snack after I ate the whole dish! I might consider trying them again with double orders at a later date if Im in the area...Chef Peking (and I will only judge on what Ive had) just did not hit the spot.

Solid Chinese food, but nothing spectacular. We ordered a pretty wide variety of items as a group: -Chicken Chow Mein: This was my favorite item on the menu! It was delicious and definitely hit the spot if you are looking for some delicious, definitely not good for you Chinese food. :) -Mongolian Beef: Not so good - it was a little spicy, but not in a good way. It lacked a lot of flavor and I wouldnt order it again. -Orange Chicken: It was okay - It had a really great citrus-y taste, but overall it wasnt my favorite. There was a lot of breading (or whatever they use for it) which made it taste a little off to me. Overall, if Im in Redwood city and looking for Chinese food to satisfy a craving, this place will do, but I wont go out of my way to eat here.

FOUND A FINGERNAIL IN MY RICE!!!!!! went into this place about two weels ago and in my rice I found a long human fingernail . I wont go into details on how I came to find it but I wouldnt go back if my life depended on it. Besides the worst customer service ever all they could say is I dont know how that happend . Wtf!!!!

I was told my family could not dine in because we did not spend enough money. What a joke. My bill was $32 i got the sesame chicken and i think you could get better in the frozen section at walmart

Strongly mediocre food. Had the worst rice I can remember today. Prices are reasonable and the menu is varied. Decent enough lunch place if you cant think of anywhere else to go.

Good eating place. Must try their crab in spicy black bean sauce and pot stickers. The Wontons in the Wonton soups are giants and tasty. Good food.
