We took a ferry trip to Bainbridge Island for the first time last Saturday. Wanted to try something different & Marche french style stood out on the list of restaurants. Its nicely situated too with foot traffic & a nice location. Glad we made that choice! We didnt make a reservation (tip: you want to) but were still able to get a nice table by the open kitchen. Just after one visit I can suggest you get a table right by the kitchen, like we did, or on the patio. Modern room & building design with beautiful touches. We felt welcomed from the very start. First by the manager. Then by the chef (I have to admit - that was awesome; we werent even walking directly by the kitchen; across the room). Jennifer was a fantastic waitress. Another waitress stopped by to check on us as well in casual (not annoying at all) way. Great customer service experience all the way around! Its a fine dining experience. Each dish had its personal touch. Very enjoyable. Portions arent big but each has an unexpected flavor. My wife and I liked everything we tried. Marche sure was the highlight of our day.

My husband and I had a reservation at 6:00. When we arrived on time, the hostess gave us the worst table, even though there were plenty of other tables available. We asked for a better table and she moved us in a few minutes with an unpleasant reaction. FYI, the restaurant had a few tables unoccupied the whole time we were there. Therefore, I dont know what the hostess problem was! Overall, an average (and overpriced) meal with slow service. We had much better lamb and duck breast elsewhere, in New Zealand, Thailand, or even here in the U.S. The biggest drawback was that the front door right next to the main dining area stayed opened the whole time, even when the weather was not even hot. The doors allowed flies into the dining area. Many people (including us) had to keep fanning the flies away with their hands while trying to eat. The table next to us even had a fly fall into his wine! Given the fancy and pricey menu, we honestly expected more!

Marche is a chef restaurant, the French cuisine inspiration is spot on, the Chicken Liver is wonderful, the mussels are amazing, the fries are incredible especially with the Chefs aioli, and the bread... OMG the bread is the best! We went a few times to Marche with my family and the service has always been excellent. I recommend this restaurant for those who truly appreciate French cuisine or want to discover it. Note: I am French, so I hope I can be trusted as far as my opinion goes about French cuisine :-)

This family-run restaurant and award-winning chef hits the mark every time I dine here. The service is efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and not overwhelming noisy like many eating establishments. Plus, its right in the heart of beautiful downtown Bainbridge Island! You cant ask for more.

After 90 minutes of waiting we never received our food. We had to leave and we were still charged for our drinks while we were waiting with no reason for the delay. This was at 11:30 am on a Saturday with very little business in the restaurant. Horrible experience and will never return.

I very much enjoyed the food that I had, the waitress was engaging and helpful. I had a guest with me that took a risk with something she hadnt had before and the wait staff was attentive and helped to be sure that all of us were fully content with our meal.

Very warm and welcoming place with amazing food and company. So amazing, that we went both nights when we visited Bainbridge Island. A seat at the kitchen counter watching the chefs in action while enjoying dinner is highly recommended.

I had my first dinning experience at Marche with some out of town guest. It was one of the best lunches I have ever had. A beautiful Menu and wine selection. The staff and Servers were top notch. I look forward to trying their Dinner.
