Fareed and Jennifer and their fair trade gelato shop are a gem of Bainbridge Island. My boyfriend and I came in on a whim, looking for something to do while we were visiting the island and our experience there became a highlight of our trip. Even though Gelarto was supposed to close in about 15 minutes after we walked in we werent rushed out, instead Fareed and Jennifer chatted and joked with us for nearly an hour after closing time. They made us feel like old friends and were warm, vivacious conversationalists. Charming and kind, the couple were as much of a draw to the gelateria as the delicous gelato. I had recently returned from Italy where I ate mouth-watering gelato every evening, and Gelarto is the only place Ive found in the States that compares to the luscious authenticity of Italian gelato. Next time were in Seattle area well definitely stop by again.

Jennifer and Fareed are incredibly hospitable. An added bonus is both are so interesting customers can to talk to them almost any subject one can imagine. They also definitely have the best product. The store is always clean, both will tell you about the ingredients in the product, which is in itself an amazing educational opportunity. The loyal customers are also interesting and because visitors come from all over the world, it is always a great place to be. The hot chocolate is amazing!

This is a fantastic cream place in Bainbridge, maybe even better than Mora just up the street. The flavors are varied from rice to genuine pistachio and all kinds of chocolate in between. Both owners are super nice and the store is always very clean. I dont think there is a way to go wrong here. 10/10

The Italian ice cream/Gelato that this wonderful place serves is amazing, authentic, and innovative! Everyone is very friendly. Taster spoons of the flavours are also available. Great place for the whole family! (also there is a poké stop out front ☺).

We found this gem while walking along the beach after dinner. The gal behind the counter was very patient as our group tasted the many flavors, and it was certainly the best gelato that I have ever had. We thought the prices were reasonable as well.

Amazing gelato. Rivals the gelato Ive had in Italy. Fantastic customer service, the owner was so nice. The milk comes from local farms and is organic and he gets authentic ingredients from Italy as well. A wonderful treat you must try.

Amazing Gelato, full of flavor and done just right. Not too sweet and not too cold. Always a great treat when on the island. I always have a hard time picking just a few flavors, since all of them are great.

Great place for Gelato! Try a free sample before you buy. The owner, who served us, was excellent and helped us decide which flavored wed like. Enjoyed it so much we also bought two pints as we left!
