My husband and I decided to stop here the other day instead of going to a place we had been before. We wanted something new and sadly we paid the price; and a rather large one at that. First, parking seems to only be near the lounge section, so if you want to dine and/or youre under 21, or have someone under 21 in your party, you will have to walk around to the entrance for the main restaurant. Meh, oh well, not a huge deal and they did have both stairs and ramp for accessibility. We got there around 4:30ish and there were only a few other tables, maybe 3 or 4, with people at them, so not that busy at all. The waitress, Nicole, was super nice! Unfortunately, thats about the best part of this review. We ordered the Texas Snack Tray for the appetizer and it was just OK. It came with a small handful of sausage slices, Texas toast pieces cut up into smaller triangles, and a small handful of ribs. The sausage was a bit too peppery for my taste, but my husband enjoyed it. The BBQ sauce tasted almost as if it had curry or something in it that definitely gave it a more unique flavor, but not necessarily in the best way. The ribs seemed to be a bit thin on the meat but the toast was good... My husband ordered the Maverick Brisket and I ordered the Top Sirloin. The brisket was moist but, as he said, all his food was bland. It looked good, but the flavor just wasnt there. We also thought it was a little silly that the entrees only came with one side but not a huge deal. As for my sirloin, I ordered it medium, and it was brought to me medium well, almost well done.... OK, I can deal with this. The flavor was so-so, but the texture was WAY off. It had the texture of being frozen and then thawed improperly. When I asked the waitress if the steaks were frozen, she said no at first, but then explained they were frozen, but they thaw them and then cook them. She then told me she would let her manager know that I had a problem with the steak. The manager (?) or cook, both? came over and introduced himself and asked what the issue was. I explained the problem with meal (including the dirty tasting baked potato) and, after asking, he took a piece of my steak to try and verified himself that it was improperly thawed. He then apologized to my husband and me and said he would "play with the numbers" and that he wanted to make sure we were happy and that we had a good experience. This was nice, I definitely didnt expect anything when pointing out the issue, but it is always nice when someone takes initiative to fix or make up for a problem. When the bill came, my husband was a bit perturbed and said he felt insulted. The meal had a $5 comp. After tax, it still came to $53.09 (2 meals, 1 drink, and an appetizer) and we tipped in cash to our waitress; we actually tipped our waitress more than we were compd on our meal. My husband, for the remainder of the day, continued to grunt and laugh at how insulting it was. We dont mind paying for quality food - if we get quality food, this was not it though. I really felt that this restaurant sacrificed food quality for a speedier delivery when I would have much rather waited a bit longer for a better tasting meal that I was paying a decent price for. The slogan is Never leave hungry; this location fell short of that as I left hungry and disappointed. If youre looking for good BBQ, this is not the place to go. If youre looking for nice waitstaff, absolutely!

This is the 3rd time I try to resolve this. My husband and I went to go and eat on Nov 1, 2014 in AUBURN, WA, looking for some good food. Instead, we found ourselves in the ER and with a loss of more than $300.00 on a $54.00 bill. I have tried to call and I have spoken to two very dramatic employees, but both have been unable to give me a solution. I do not remember the name of the waitress who I spoke to. She was very nice but told me there was no way my husband could have gotten sick on their food. She then began to give me medical advice, seeing on how she moonlights as a doctor, I guess or something. Then yesterday, 11/18/14 I called and spoke to Matt. He swore "on his life" there was no way that my husband got sick on any of the food there. Then said he didnt want to refund my money because it was like admitting fault. It saddens me this is more important to him than making a customer happy. Both him and the waitress I spoke to were more concerned with the Yelp reviews than my complaint. I have not said anything on Yelp about what happened to my husband. And to be honest, I had no intention of saying anything. But the way this matter has been address is so selfish and unprofessional, that at this point I feel maybe I should say something. Not only on Yelp, but anywhere else I can comment and be heard about this restaurant. I was told this is a place started Texas. Being from El Paso, Texas , I find this hard to believe, cause in all my years as a customer, I have never been treated so rudely. Maybe in a fast food place, but not a restaurant.

Must save someone else from wasting money and your wonderful taste buds from this place. DO NOT GO HERE! Read the rest of my review, when you find a better bbq place. Wow, that was the worst Texas bbq that I have ever had had in my life, so far. I thought that place in Amarillo was the worst but its now, it is the 2nd worst bbq ever. I really wanted to like this place! Really! It is on the way home and I need a bbq place. I loved the jiffy cornbread and the "I cant believe its not butter" together... it brings back memories of being 4 years old. The pork ribs tasted like it had smelled out side and that smell was death. It is spring and I thought "oh they must have put out new topsoil" no, its the pork. Brisket was alright, potato salad tasted store bought. As I wright this, I think "God, I hope I dont get sick, like that womans husband, in the review that I should have read before stoping here. The server was awesome. Really, someone should come and steal this girl. If I still worked restaurants, I would steal her from this, "worse food ever" joint. If you need a beer, big screen TVs and have no care for what your tastebuds go through...this place is for you!

arrived to pick up a to go orders (which was placed earlier via the phone), while I was waiting another couple came in and placed an order (which was not called in) they were immediately served and I had to wait. I waited several more minutes after they couple had left and asked about my order, only to find out THEY HAD NOT EVEN STARTED IT YET! I tell them I have a uber waiting for me and I need to go. The lady that took my order was apologetic and did offer some cornbread, which I found out latter was included with my order anyway. I did attempt to speak to a manager but, they were less then friendly and as I was explaining my issue said " I herd you the first time". The saving grace was the BBQ its self, which was very tasty! I had the 3 meat plate and had Brisket, pulled pork and sausage, all were divine. The garlic mash potatoes were awful and tasted like they hadnt been seasoned. My roommate had the turkey which was also very tasty with a side of macaroni salad which she liked. I really wanted to be able to give this more stars, given they are a local favorite but, they just didnt earn it.
