Ate here before. Last time they gave the person next to me a free meal due to serving then a "rotten" potato. This time I ate my food. Went to drink my soda and bam. Dead cockroach right on the inside of the glass stuck to the side. Was completely disgusting and all they would keep saying is oh Im sorry but stuff like this happens and after it happens a few times or we realize there is still a problem then we call a exterminator and cleaner to come out. Said it happens every couple months and no one that worked there looked surprised or seemed like it was out of the ordinary. Went to check out today of the best western attached and the owner added my meal which had the cockroach in it to my bill and three other peoples who they said were free before cause of what happened at my table. They charged everyones meal to my hotel bill. Me, the one with the cockroach in my drink and then on the phone called me names. Said Im rude for wanting something for free and that Im not welcome there ever again. The first thing she said (general manger jodi) when coming on the phone was I dont need your attitude. I saw the video of what happen. I dont want to hear a word. Your are not welcome here ever again and dont call back or come back. I was staying there every two weeks for the weekend and eating perkins 3 times a weekend. They never knew my name or credit card and went off my work shirt with my name on it and looked it up in the computer to charge me without telling me.

Fiancee and I went to the restaurant because it was a Sunday and nothing else was open. I had tried explaining to her that the restaurant doesnt deserve the dubious reputation it has. Perkins can best be described as a more somber I-hop. It is an all American eatery with basic staples of Americana cuisine; turkey platters, chicken strips, hamburgers, apple pies, and pancakes. This particular Perkins is well maintained by the staff, and they are more than happy to provide good service. We were seated quickly and our custom orders were taken. The food was well cooked and tasted like you would expect a turkey platter to taste. The cranberries seemed fresh, the turkey was tender, and the chicken wasnt over fried. For its price, Perkins provides a decent place for people looking for Americana in Winchester. It may not be unique or exciting like other local staples, but it is reliable and filling. Great place to go for a Sunday meal.

The food is great and the restaurant looks wonderful and clean. But the Management and Waiters/Waitresses are unbelievably RUDE and seem very displeased and unhappy to be working. I know all together I would of had a better experience if the people were more friendly and polite. I hope and pray this gets better because I really love going there. And the cashier acted so miserable and her make up was very heavy and all over the place, not very professional. I tried talking to the manager and she was very unreasonable. She claimed it was busy, but it was only me and the other person I was with and another elderly couple. I have been here numerous times and every time its the SAME EXACT service. I hope and pray this gets better because I really love going there. So if you want great food with horrible and rude service this is the place to go.

I do not understand some of the comments on here. The food and service at the Perkins in Winchester is excellent. Ive never had a problem with a manager or hostess or waiter/waitress. I especially love their sandwhiches, pie, and the tomato basil soup is amazing. I think some people are just to picky. The service at perkins is much better than most resturants in Winchester.

Waitress was extremely rude when taking our order, getting even more rude when we asked if we would substitute the eggs in the pancake platter for a different side item as my husband cant eat eggs. She insisted that there was no way she could substitute it. This is the ONLY Perkins we have been to that did not allow a substitution for the eggs

This restaurant deserves zero stars. By far the worst restaurant I have ever went to . I should have went to ihop right around the corner. The Hash brown was almost completely raw it was completely white, when it should have been golden brown and the ham & chse omelets tasted like it was month old. Extremely disappointed

If youre a guest at the best Western Hotel make sure you get the discount coupon to eat at Perkins. Ive had five meals here and all of them were actually very good. The salmon and broccoli dinner last night was better than any regular restaurant.

Filthy restrooms. Management and staff peeked in and ignored it. Nothing better than stepping into a restaurant bathroom and splashing filthy water on your pants.

Not bad. But not the same Perkins from my college years. Bakery doesnt feel as fresh and the cinnamon roll french toast is no longer on the menu.

Good service and food there is room for improvement. They were out of a few things and the strawberry pie didnt look at all like the picture

A nice place to grab pastries for an office meeting, or to grab a traditional breakfast/brunch. The waffles are wonderful!

The service was slow because the entire restaurant had only one waiter on a Saturday night, but the food was good.
