I recently called Cafe Torino to order a cake for an anniversary party. I told the baker (he might be the owner too, Im not sure) what I wanted and that this would be for an anniversary party. I said I wanted a two tiered cake, reminiscent of a wedding cake, in two flavors, with basic decorations and white icing. I was told what size each of the rounds would need to be to accomodate the number of guests I was serving, and the price of each. I was quoted a total of $50 total for the cake (by two people, including the baker). This made sense as the price of each round separately was on their pricing list and would have come to a total of roughly $50. I was told to come to the store to discuss the details in person, which I did. My mistake was not getting anything in writing at that time and just assuming I would be charged the $50 I was quoted on the phone. When I went to pick up the cake the baker (some Italian guy that really came across as shady the first time I met him) pulls out the receipt which states $100! I told him I was quoted, by him, $50 over the phone to which he replied "but this is essentially a wedding cake, and we usually charge a certain price per slice, and Im giving you a good deal after all." I was shocked and should have refused the cake except the party was starting in just a few hours. I should have told him what he could do with his cake! I wanted to try this place for breakfast too, but now I will never go there and will tell everyone else not to either. I cant believe what a con artist this guy is. Im six months pregnant too...what kind of person rips off a pregnant woman?! If anyone writes a positive review about this place for their cakes, assume theyre written by people he knows--both times he kept me waiting (a paying customer) while he made small talk with his friends in the restaurant. Just to review the cake itself--the top layer was crooked (wow!), the amaretto flavor was good, but the chocolate mousse wasnt very good at all. Oh, and I asked if he could make buttercream frosting, to which he replied "if you wanted buttercream you could go to safeway" and told me he would only do fondant icing. Most Americans dont like fondant from what Ive heard, and it really was kind of nasty.

This is a wonderful place to meet old friends, and to make new friends. Andreas and his staff are quite knowledgeable and very friendly. His The food is delicious and very unique. My most favorite lunch is the sauteed veal in a sauce with capers, and it is always delivered with the same unique taste, by a very spirited and attentive server, always eager to please. The entree is always served with a very tasty simple salad, and the most delicious bread I have EVER tasted. It is kissed with a tasty amount of subtle salt and I challenge anyone to find a more delicious meal! I always linger over lunch, and never leave a spot of anything on my plate. Cafe Torino is my favorite place to eat in Northern Virginia, and I bring my friends and family there. I have never been disappointed.

The breakfast IS to die for. You wont find eggs better than this. The food? Youll drool before you can even finish reading the menu. The insight? I used to work here. A+++!!!!! Extremely clean, very nitpicky about their ingredients (everything better be fresh... or else) and owned and run by a genuine Italian and his beautiful Fauquier-native wife!!! Now how often does a former employee who lives half the country away sing high praises of their former workplace? :) Miss it badly! Swing by! You WILL be pleased!!! A LOT healthier than any other fast food options (and trust me these guys are QUICK), and around the same price as Chick-Fil-A! Now really, whats the logical choice?? Support your delicious locals!!! LOVE AND MISS YOU GUYS AT THE CAFE!! -LKW

As someone who knows the inner workings of this restaurant well (as well as many others in the area), I can truely say that this place is amazing. The kitchen is the cleanest restaurant kitchen I have ever been in. The food is made from scratch and the food is definitely high quality. It is not for those who like "typical bland fatty American food". At cafe Torino you will find unique entrees made for the more sophisticated palate. In addition, the food is good quality for the price.

They catered my wedding and were so kind, the food was so genuine and delicious. My wedding was in June and I still have people asking who catereded and are talking about the food. What was even greater was the price. I had called just about everywhere. Even priced to pick up the food from different restaurants and this was the cheapest! Thank you all so much!

Had lunch with my daughter there today and let me say yummm. We split a pasta special and I had a side salad. For a treat, she had a chocolate mousse thing and I had the lemon tart. The food was amazing (wanted to lick the pasta bowl) and the owner was so friendly it felt like we had been going there for years. Cant wait to go back.

Excellent from appetizer to dessert. The atmosphere is like eating in you Italian relatives kitchen. The portobello mushroom appetizer is special, pasta and sauce perfect, veal tender and cooked just right and desserts spoon licking good. Not often that I am still thinking of how great a meal was 24 hours later.

Staff is very friendly but the food was not a 27/30 review worthy! It was salty! The ginger ale was watered down. Cappuccino was too foamy. The highlight was the bread which makes sense since it is a bakery!

Dined at Cafe Torino twice in the evening by reservation. Wonderful each time. The food (bread, salad, entrees, wine, dessert, coffee) was excellent, atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Cant wait to go again.

Love breakfast here. Best scrambled eggs ever!!! Julia would approve. Chef Torino is frosty on the outside but soft & warm like his eggs on the inside. Just a great little neighborhood cafe.

Delicious and friendly. Great specials and good potion sizes. Bakery and cookies are excellent and love the chocolate chip cookies. Easy to make this my favorite game place in Warrenton
