Verbally abusive Owner/manager I dont know who he is came out screaming when we stopped to grab a blanket and pillow out of our 27 ft. Travel trailer camper, for myself! Little background and explanation following!!! We also compete with our dogs, we are active in many clubs and facilities and we were coming back from a 2 day dog competition and yes I let my 4 pups PEE; NOT CRAP and if they had CRAPPED I have NO ISSUE PICKING UP DOG CRAP EVER!!!!! NO ISSUE EVER! I AM A DOG GROOMER AND MY FAMILY OWNS A BOARDING KENNEL! I am extremely sanitation aware and I too dont like those people who dont clean up yet I dont go psycho! We carry poop bags on us everywhere I wash clean ones daily because they are in our pockets everyday. I actually am one of those I guess Ill pick up whose crap is right here since Im using a poop bag already!!!! SO....This guy came out of the restaurant started screaming I was clueless at this point Im monitoring dogs my husband is yelling something at the back of the camper, this guy got in and backed his car up and drove down to us screaming and cussing to pick up our dog crap. Ok we are at least 75 yds away. Now, # 1 if he had drove down and said nicely hey make sure you cleanup after your dogs please, Ive had issues w people not doing it , well I would completely get it hes been burned by dog crap and hes just making sure we clean up! BUT to immediately scream, attack, physically come towards us, accuse, curse, and tell me my dog did crap and curse that I didnt pick up an invisible dog crap pile IS and WAS RIDICULOUS!!!! We repeatedly told him of course wed pick up he still was going off!!! Dogs were put up at this time it was a 2-3 min pee stop at most. The wait was my husband getting in camper to get me a pillow and blanket! So at this point YES I YELLED because he jumped out of car. And started charging over and yell at me?! So my reply is No they didnt and if your so positive SHOW ME where!!! Id gladly pick it up!!! He kept yelling the same thing over and over again and after me repeating myself 4 times he said explicits no one should say. BUT HEY WHATEVER! After he drove off I was shaking mad but I walked every square foot of the area to assure and basically prove my dogs PEED! And you know what THEY DIDNT CRAP!!!!! They peed I watched 3 of the 4 pee then 3 immediately jumped back into the vehicle while 1 stared at me because she wanted to play disc! Now not only has this experience ensure I NEVER EVER will eat there, it was on our list to stop one day bc we drive 4 hrs one way to compete with our pups biweekly, it has also called for me to post a beware of attack owner/manager post!!!! And recommend taking your business elsewhere because this world has enough CRAZY occurring and this guy went postal!!! I guess the restaurant is on private property (so good luck getting to it I guess not sure why he yelled that at us but if this is the case OK) ?????? He assumed and was an absolute jerk! In closing WHAT IN THE WORLD is happening in this world?!

We were just there for a late lunch. They served my husband a cheeseburger (ordered medium) that was so raw in the middle he couldnt eat it--and he is not skiddish about pink meat at all. The server offered to take it back and have it cooked more, but we declined. (That practice has always grossed me out and we were in a hurry.) When the check came, we expected that it would be discounted but it was not. We explained to the server that we didnt think we should have to pay for an inedible sandwich and she said she would talk to "them." She returned to indicate that she couldnt take it off the bill because she had offered to take it back. We asked if there was a manager there and she said it was the owner with whom shed spoken. We asked to speak to that person. She returned several minutes later with an amended check. Lessons from a patron: 1. The customer is always right. 2. We might have returned if they had amended the bill the first two times. (This was their second chance visit.) And we wouldnt be writing negative reviews online for the world to see. 3. If youre going to say no to this request, at least face the person yourself instead of sending the poor server as your messenger. 4. You cant serve people raw beef. If you do, you cant charge them. Advice to prospective patrons: Go to the pizza place down the road.

Way over priced!!! The food was not very good. My husband got the seafood platter and half of his food was over cooked the hush puppies were almost black. It was all covered in old bay spice it even tasted like it was mixed in the cocktail sauce. I got scallops in a lemon garlic sauce. Well thats what it was supposed to be. My "sauce" was the consistency of a broth and there was so much old bay on my scallops I couldnt taste lemon or garlic. We both got a side of macaroni which I cant figure out how they made it so bland. Because I can boil some noodles and eat them plain and theyd have more flavor. I think my kids were pretty happy with their grilled cheese sandwiches though. The waitress was nice but a bit ditzy and kept forgetting to bring us stuff. We didnt bother complaining after they sent us out obviously burnt food covered in old bay spice because they obviously didnt care. We just chalked it up as a learning experience we wont be going back. I wouldnt even have bothered writing the review but the bill was just under $100 for an appetizer two adult meals two kids meals and two beers. It was an expensive learning experience. Thats just too much for a restaurant that doesnt care about the quality of the food they are serving.

Decided to go here based on the reviews and seafood sounded really good! Our party consisted of 4 adults and two children under the age of 5. Our waitress was inept the entire visit. She had to be reminded that all four adults had a side salad, we asked for additional napkins three different times before she brought them and one of the main entrees was missing a side dish. The food was over-priced for the quantity and the quality. I ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese and was extremely disappointed in the total lack of flavor. My wifes seafood platter was not much better, especially considering the $26 price tag. I dont mind spending the money as long as I get good service or good food, but we received neither one here. And to cap off the lunch, the receipt arrived with an automatic $7.16 gratuity charge. Do yourself a favor and keep driving past this dump by the water.

A quality restaurant is not what I expected to find this far out, but it the food was very good. The lobster wontons had just the right flavor balance, and the frying was done expertly at a high temp so they werent greasy, just light and flavorful. The entrees were very satisfying and displayed a level of expertise that beat a lot of the restaurants Ive eaten at in DC. The deserts were good too, but just in the good range. Our waitress was attentive and we felt well taken care off. If it hadnt been dumping buckets, this would be a great place to chill on their deck and enjoy the river view. Kudos to the owner/manager too for stocking at least 5-6 local Virginia beers on tap with amazing flavor! I would almost go back for some beer tasting alone. According to our waitress they rotate regularly too. I wish I had a place like this near my home.
