I have been going to your Newport News location pretty much since it has opened and have never had a bad experience before. However that changed today. I was the only customer in the store and was greeted as usual. I told the young lady behind the counter which salad I would like and that I wanted it to go. EVERY time before I would be asked what size I would like and either if the recommended dressing was okay or just asked which dressing I would prefer. They would ALWAYS put the dressing on the side without me asking whenever I placed a to go order. However today before I was even able to tell her which dressing, she put the dressing on the salad without asking what dressing I would like or if I wanted the dressing on the side. I mentioned to her that the dressing she had put on is one that I do not eat and I had wanted another one. She preceded to get an attitude with me and said "So what, you want me to make you a whole new salad?" I of course said yes because again, I do not like the dressing that she had used. She then with a huff, she made the new salad very quickly and with much less ingredients it seems and proceeded to put the dressing I asked for in the salad after I had mentioned after the first salad that I would like it on the side since it is to go order. I, at this point was tired of being spoken to with an attitude so I just accepted the new salad. She asked the other employee to ring me up for the one salad and that employees response was "Why do you have two bowls then, did you mess up the salad" to which the other lady said "No" with an attitude insinuating that it was the customers fault although no questions were asked in regards to my preferences. Then the lady who made my salad ended up just ringing me up and both of them were still muttering about the whole ordeal. So now I leave not only feeling very disrespected and tempted not to return to this location, but am now having to eat a smaller than full size (which is what I paid for) soggy salad. Having worked in customer service for almost 10 years, there was absolutely nothing acceptable about todays transaction. I have referred many people to this location and after today I will be retracting that referral. Very unprofessional and very disappointed.

I had a Jr. Sophies Chicken Salad, a Chicken Italiano paninni and iced tea. I as was having the sandwich, I asked for the salad without the chicken, which they delivered, but I think they should have mentioned that I was paying for the chicken whether I got it or not. The salad was delicious, the tea was properly brewed - not over extracted and bitter, but the sandwich was unnoteworthy, a particularly bland chicken salad that was pressed, then microwaved. It was okay, but in my opinion not worth the $18.50 they charged

Very nice staff on both occasions I visited here. Salad very good. Fresh ingredients. Large selection of "throw ins". Spinach, corn, black beans,cucumbers, onions,cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds, carrots, tomatoes, turkey, avocado .....deliciousness in a bowl! A bit expensive for a turkey salad $13.00, but tasty.
