First of all Id like to state my complete shock at the current reviews Ive seen on Google and yelp. I pass through this area every week or so and it happens to be conveniently located near a gas station. After i tend to my hungry vehicles i like to tend to my hungry belly. Hands down the best Subway i have been to in many years when it comes to this task. As I entered I was greeted friendly and promptly, by what appeared to be a sandwich angel sent to cure sandwich famine. This angel was named Victoria i believe and was in the form of a young girl roughly 53 with brown hair and greenish brown eyes (Credit where Credit is due). After a polite hello and an introduction we began the most impressionable sandwich experience of my adult life. I ordered a 12 Chicken Teriyaki on Italian. When she asked me if Id like mine toasted, it was as if she was reading my mind about all my sandwich desires. While telling her about my topping choices she careful but diligently made the Sub with a certain amount of love i would not have expected all while humming some angelic tune. (I think she should join a choir). In complete amazement and awe i paid for my order got my drink and headed out to the parking lot to delve into this masterpiece of a sandwich. I will visit this slice of paradise whenever i am in town because the service was quick and friendly, the food was well prepared and tasty also i was not hungry after, and the place was clean and well kept with no funny smells that would suggest lack of upkeep. Its a Subway not a 5 star restaurant so if you are looking for a filling cheap and quick stop for a sandwich that i believed cured my common cold. This IS the place to go.

Very disappointed in the employees of this restaurant. I was told by Jessica Goode that if I expected good service I should not come to this location. Her exact words were "there are ungrateful customers lurking around complaining that every person on the planet doesnt bend over and fulfill their every wish" followed by "EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE". So great that in a small community like Montpelier the employees of this establishment are like that.

Do not eat here or you will upset you did. Ive been to a lot of shady cities and had way better subway and more competent service. They are rude and will charge you for the napkins if you let them. They put 4 slices of meat on my footlong sub. Im ashamed this subway is my hometown.

Giving 1 star because I cant give less. Never had a positive experience here. Usually slow service. This last time I ordered a kids meal, which is a 4 inch sub. The young man cut a 6" roll in half. When I questioned him on it he said, "this is what my boss told me to do".

Slow. Rude. Unhelpful. And dont know what they are supposed to put on a sandwich. The night crew locks the doors 30 minutes to an hour early. The morning crew doesnt have anything but flat bread and stale wheat after being open 2 hours.
