When you first walk in, it is so beautiful. The small bridge walkway over the pond is such a nice entrance to the restaurant. When I was escorted to the seating area however, my enthusiasm was quickly replaced by a slight amount of concern. I noticed duct tape on the floor holding the carpet together and dirty walls. Once I sat down I quickly realized the seats were well worn in and a bit wobbly at that, and that was one of the booths. From afar it seemed there were a lot of choices of food, but once I got to the buffet tables, I realized there were actually more American dishes than anything. Some of my favorite dishes were not being served. Also what was being served was in small supply and many of the options seemed like they had been sitting awhile and never seemed to be replenished. They did have a decent seafood selection, but nothing that looked very good . The sushi bar and the hibachi grill were probably the best parts of the meal. Im not sure it was worth the price. My husband and I paid $24 for 2 plates on Thursday night. Ive had a much better experience at other buffets for less. There has to be a better oriental buffet than this in Richmond.

The food is goood but when the waiter gave us the receipt she was demanding us to give her a tip but we didnt give her a tip because she gave us poor service my brother-in-law had to go ask for more soda, which the waiter had to come give us. After that she kept on bothering us with the tip and we didnt give her one and when she started walking away she tsked as us and got mad we asked her why she got mad if she gave poorly service and she kept on stuttering as to why she got mad and we told her that we wanted to speak with her manager and she wouldnt call the manager so we went to the front desk and asked for the manager so we told the manager what was going on and the waiter was there so then she left and I swear her she laughed at us and stuck out her tounge and when I told the manager that he said that it didnt count because he didnt see it. Well thanks but we are not coming back to this restaurant

I go to the Hibache often in Charlottesville and have always been very pleased with the service and quality of the food. Visiting Richmond turned out to be a quite different experiance. I tried many different things in attempt to find something that met atleast average standards. The chicken was overly cooked and tasted as if it had been sitting for hours. All of the entrees were barely hot. The cheese wontons were soggy and cold, and the spring rolls had the same consistency as if they had been microwaved. The only 2 items I might eat again if I were starving and had no other options would be the greenbeans (that were cold) and the Lomein. The customer service paid no attention that I had only taken a few bites out of my food, and did not check back after seating us, but had no problem dropping off the check. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Waiter and greeter were ok. Seem like nice folks, but jesus the food is awful. I was curious to see if perhaps it was just the dishes I chose on the first round, so I did my best to sample as much as I could. Each dish worse than the last. The sauces are just salt water, the chicken dishes were some sort of alien mush, the general tsos was LITERALLY just boneless buffalo wings seemingly bought at food lion. The sushi was obviously left out too long. Even the hot tea was terrible (it tasted like metal water). The best food I had was some cake at the end and that Im sure was made from grocery store pretty boxed mix. For the love of God do NOT eat here. Eat anywhere ANYWHERE else. I just got done eating and am in the parking lot writing this and Im terrified this will turn to poison in my stomach.

The environment and set up of the buffet was an average hibachi setup however the food was the worst food I have ever eaten. I barely had any luck walking from buffet to buffet in a sea of very unattractive food finding anything appetizing. Not only were a lot of the bins empty including wonton soup after looking several times but the over all aroma seemed fishy. I should have known walking in the door. I would not even try the hibachi due to the unfresh appearence of the food. After informing the staff of my very poor experience with them they did not even offer an apology. I would never recommend even a lunch here. I have only given one star as I could not rank them in the negative.

This place is advertised as the "biggest and the most elegant restaurant in Richmond." While I didnt actually expect it to be the best, I expected much more than we received. There were flies hanging out around the food. There was a huge variety of food, and between the two of us we tried a lot of it, but most of what we ate was barely eatable. The meat on the hibachi bar looked old/bad. The staff was very grumpy. Our server never refilled our drinks and didnt even talk to us until she gave us the bill. It definitely was not worth the $24 that we spent. The only positive part of the experience is that because the food was so bad, I didnt overeat like I usually do at a buffet....

This restaurant has SOME good food but in my whole life I have never had a waiter be so rude. Not only did she treat my mother in law like she wasnt a paying customer, she also acted surprised when she did not receive a tip from some people in our party. I did not get a refill on my drink (water) and she took plates away that were still being used. When it was time to pay, she stood over my mother in law (who has vision issues) waiting for her to pay. When my mother in law asked me how much her tab was the waiter spoke over me and told the price. The food is good but not good enough for the abuse. Pick a different location to eat.

Crab legs were extremely cold as in straight out of a refrigerator and not heated at all. We were there 30 min before any crab legs were put out. There were no utensils for cracking the crab legs. The other food was just so so. Cold shrimp was kind of mushy. The soup was good and hot. The fruit was good. I still believe this has been my worst meal so far in Richmond. In fairness we did not try the hibachi portion where they cook for you or the sushi. The buffet was just barely ok and the crab legs were a total disappointment. Even the rest rooms were not kept up.

We came from out of town. This place was okay food wise but yet the service was awful and people were disrespectful. The waitress came to our table one time the whole time we were there. When we left the server said $1 for 4 people you can keep that. In my experience if you do not come to our table you do not deserve a tip. Also how was he not sure that we had left a tip on the card we paid with. I would not recommend this place to no one. I will take my business else where do not disrespect my family or I. Learn to not ask for a tip! Get some respect!
